our crepes & more

we found this restaurant on urban spoon and decided to try it for brunch. it was fabulous! we ordered two savory crepes and one sweet crepe for three people. the versailles is a must try. sweet but not overly rich. the savories were a perfect blend of herbs and cheeses. owners and staff are super friendly. we will come back here on every future trip to wilmington!

tt (tourist trap!!!). i'm a little bewildered by the other positive reviews. based on all of the good feedback, we decided to give this place a try. that being said, i was truly and deeply unimpressed. the crepes themselves had little flavor, and left me thinking this was more of a fast-food creperie at the price-point of an authentic restaurant. i'm not one to usually be critical, but i feel like these crepes were something i could easily have designed and created myself. plus, i wasn't expecting a frozen, mcdonald's style hash brown from a restaurant such as this...disappointed.

food criticism aside, the service was awesome and everyone was very attentive. unfortunately, i just look for good tasting food when i go out to eat. service and ambiance come second.

we ordered the special, a savory crepe (tomato, basil, mozzarella, balsamic, prosciutto) and the banana, nutella, strawberry crepes.

one of the most authentic places i have eaten at. was pleasantly surprised to find that the people making my crepes were actually french. definitely worth trying and very well priced!

authentic & delicious french crepes(the owners moved to ilm from southern france several years ago). order your flavor of choice; you won't be disappointed. flaky, delicate, tender, & cooked to perfection.

i went in here today and had a couple of scoops of the homemade nutella ice cream, and it was freakin' phenomenal. i'm not usually an ice cream guy, but really; it was really good. i didn't try any crepes or sandwiches or anything (not trying to calorie myself out), but everything looked and smelled superb, and the people making it were doing just that: making it, from scratch.

always good to see a fine local business with fresh ingredients and the like with no pretense. go on in, you won't be disappointed.

this has to be the best crepes place in town. and indeed one of the best breakfast joints. i tried both sweet as well as savory crepes. the savory ones i had as the main meal, while i shared a sweet ones as a dessert with my family members accompanying. this is a sweet little place, ideal to unwind and play a game of cards. the service is also excellent, as in most of nc state.

this is my first time here and i must say that i was pleasantly surprised! upon entry, i was greeted by the light and easy sounds of the dave matthews band coming from the speakers. the staff was very helpful and friendly; i could tell that they wanted to be there. this place has a coffee house atmosphere with bright colors on the walls and floor, the perfect place to finish a chapter of a good book or catch up on some emails. by the way, the food was outstanding!!

this place is awesome. the staff is kind and super helpful. the food is ssssoooo good. my wife and i usually get one sweet crepe and one savory one to share, a pastry of some kind and coffee. if you've ever had a real crepe, and even if you haven't, you will love this place!!

love this place. first time here, and the food and service was great. gluten free batter available for those that need or want. will definitely return.

delicious.... the biggest decision is sweet or savory .... my husband and i decided on a savory for each and to split a sweet. i had the mushroom, onion and swiss. husband had sausage, cheese and egg. we then split a nutella and banana..... would highly recommend all 3. incredibly friendly staff as well ( assume perhaps the owner due to the french accent). will be back!

when in france...... this is the 2nd time we have been treated like this in this restaurant, and the last. we were at the restaurant 45 minutes before closing. we checked the clock...this is no exaggeration. they were cleaning up, chairs were put upside down on the tables already while people were still eating. when we entered you could literally see the staff rolling their eyes....but the thing that really stunned us was, this time the owner.......the french lady (not the nice french young guy...probably her son...who probably takes after his father) was the worst one of the group. in fact, the group quickly looked to her for validation/support for their unbelievable rudeness and their ' how dare you attitude'. this is not a woman who appreciates business. this may be how they do it in france, but here if we say we're closing at 4:00, we do not act like rude jerks to people who want to do business with us and pay us money when they show up at 3:15 just because it's a pretty day outside. when we asked if they were still open they looked at their watches and held out their hands like...???? i can tell you that this has cost them dearly.....through us not only have they lost 2 families' business, but they have generated ill will that will come up any and every chance we get to have a comment about this....it was really unbelievable. their crepes, however are absolutely delicioso!!!! but they will never enter our gullets again. we would re-rename the restaurant 'our crepes and more of our faux pas'.
