was a little leery about service after reading the reviews but it was truly awesome. had the calamari and wow was it great. had the half greek and half cesar salad - both supreme with exceptional taste and correct quantity of dressing chicken souvlaki was mouth watering. now - my husband thought the calamari was salty and too thick but still good. his gyro he said was good but he has had better in the city. price was good

delicious!! had lunch here a few weeks ago and the gyro pita was unbelievable! greek salad on the side was among the best i've ever had too! my husband raved about the greek burger for ages and particularly enjoyed the fact that he was able to order half fries half salad as a side. can't wait to go back for lunch!

great greek. worth the drive to westwood on portage. small unassuming restaurant, but the greek food is amongst the best in winnipeg. everything is fresh, hot and delicious. i have had 3 menu items off the menu at separate visits. chicken pita, chicken souvlaki, and a pasta dish. all huge, generous and delicious.

no complaints.

great place! small and unassuming, but the food is great and portions are large. i had the veal parmigiana baked with spaghetti, which comes with soup or salad(i had the greek salad) and garlic toast. i had to box up half my meal to take home. delicious and very reasonably priced!

best greek restaurant in the city. we live in north kildonan and have no problem driving across the city for special occasions or at the spur of the moment. best calamari we have ever had, the ribs, pastitsio, olympia chicken and greek salad are superb. (those are just our favourites) if you haven't been here.....what are you waiting for?? andrew, sia and the staff know how to look after their customers.

first off, i have recommended this place any chance i get. we have gone there during covid and supported it as it was a community area small business we love. the food is beyond amazing, the staff, always fantastic. honestly, we do love it...and then tonight happened.

we went out as a family. my husband and i and our son. we all live in the same house. we wore masks coming in and were seated promptly. everything was as it always was - perfect.

about 20 minutes into being there two gentlemen came in, both wearing masks and sat at the same table. no problem. we wondered if they were from the same household, but hey, live and let live. then two other gentlemen came in, again, both wearing masks and sat at a table 6 feet away as they are seating people properly which is great. then, things get a little odd...another gentleman walks in, again wearing a mask, and joins the first two men. it was clear they were not from the same household and again, live and let live.

the two tables were chatting to each other from 6 feet away, all good, then, one of the folks from the first table, gets up, walks over to the second set of gentlemen that came in and proceeds to stand at the table, with no mask and chats with them for at least 5-6 minutes. during this time, the server has come and gone from both of these tables twice. not a word was said about returning to their own table, or at the very least, putting on a mask.

to make matters worse, the gentleman behind the bar, who i am assuming (and this may be totally incorrect) is the owner is chatting away with all of them. nothing was said.

right now in manitoba, none of this is allowed.

on my way out, i did speak with the person behind the bar and told them look, we love this place and support you but this is not cool. he said he would talk to them. i said, it is clear you know them, so if you are ok with it - what is there to say.

i explained i have kids working at other restaurants who are getting yelled at by folks like this as they are told they have to enforce the new rules to protect the restaurant industry from yet another shut down.

i told him, truly, i love this place, but will not be back until this is over. i want all mb business, especially my small neighbourhood places to make it through this, but doing this is exactly why all restaurants keep getting shut down.

so for our family, we are out. olympia diner has been our go to for years, even when new ownership came in, but this, jeopardizing all restaurants’ ability to stay open makes absolutely no sense to me.

love olympia, but you are better than this. support local - that goes for all of us. you as a business need to ensure you are doing your part so that all of you can stay open.

one of my favourite places. service is always great. lemon chicken soup is so good, it is hard to pass up. gyro with home fries and greek salad is a winner!
my only problem is that it’s just too much food!

best place to eat in westwood hands down.

my husband worked in greece for 5 years in the past, and he said that the food was authentic, even the restaurant ambience, just imagine warmer weather, and it does feel like you're in greece. the food was nostalgic to him. they serve large portions too, and the prices are very reasonable. i liked their service too. our server was ashley and she was very nice and very courteous. we were greeted by who we believed was the owner too, and asked us about how our food was. there is ample parking space at the back of the restaurant, and lots of street parking. will def go back to try their other items on the menu.

i always get the veggie pita here with hummus. it’s very good and never disappoints. fries are delicious and so is the greek salad!

my fave the olympia burger hold the chile , i've had it both way but i prefer without has it has so much flavour already i just ask them to put it on my fries. i love the calamari also

dropped in for the first time a few nights ago after driving by for months and i'm so glad i did. food was absolutely incredible, i tried the gyro with greek salad and lemon potatoes- everything was so flavourful. service was very friendly and attentive. if you haven't tried this place, i would definitely recommend that you do.

hands down best greek restaurant in town but be forewarned you’re gonna leave stuffed! super affordable, huge portions and great service. new look too since the remodel in early 2018. check this place out! opa! 🇬🇷

highly recommend! everything we had here was delicious and they were very accommodating and cautious with their gf items. i ordered the pork souvlaki which tasted like it had been marinated over night and not at all fatty. amazing lemon soup to start, and equally perfect greek salad! my dad had the chicken souvlaki and raved that it was one of the best he's had. he also enjoyed his lemon potatoes.

this place doesn't look like much from the outside, but it is very, very worth it!
