yummy!. good atmosphere, great food, large portions. the spaghetti with mizithra cheese and mushroomsauceis delicious, but i thought the lasagna was a little too chef-boyardee. the house salad is also great.

good place for an average meal, don't expect anything great. ended up here last night without planning to, but happened to be at the forks. we got there at ~7:30pm and were seated within a few minutes. the restaurant was super busy and crowded inside - the hostess ended up placing us at a table directly beside a large party celebrating a child's birthday. we asked her if there was a quieter table, to which she was completely agreeable to after asking us to wait just a few more minutes.

service was on the poorer side, but they were training a new server in our section so that slowed things down a bit. the server that was training her (a larger male who i have seen there before) was obnoxiously loud when talking with customers and was pretty embarrassing at times. the girl he was training forgot to take the menus off our table when we ordered, and we had placed them on the inside area of our table that isn't reachable for the server. he leaned right across me, to the point of brushing against me, and completely into my personal space to grab the menus.

food is always average. don't expect anything more than that. fettuccine alfredo with chicken was cooked well, saucewas average. not really worth paying so much for the chicken added to it (the portion is very small), but i wanted some protein. partner had the mushroom raviolli that is on their "newer" menu. dish is way overpriced for the portion size, would not order it again.

what can i say, overall it was a good experience. the bread with garlic butter was delicious, the iceberg lettuce salad with sesame dressing was boring and flavourless, the spaghetti with spicy meatsaucewas delicious, and so was the vanilla ice cream. the very good elements and bad elements balanced out to an overall "good" experience.

service was friendly and quick though.

the bathrooms are very run down. the tilework and paint look like they were last done in 1996, the countertop where the sink is located looks like kitchen-surplus melamine countertop from (again) circa 1996, and the caulking is all dirty and gross. the sink faucetts were old, rusty, and wobbly. as much as i like the old movie posters and tall ceilings in the bathroom, they aren't very pleasant.

i dined here recently with a friend and it made me wonder why i haven't been here in so long, it was a really good experience.  the service was great and the food portions were huge.  i had the pesto linguine and my friend had the old classic spaghetti with meatsauceand we were both very pleased with the dishes.  the bread is to die for, i filled up on too much of it.  i will definitely be back.

incredible spaghetti. i ordered "the manager's choice" which allows one to choose split their spaghetti with two sauce. it's a good way of trying two types of spaghetti in one dinning. i chose the spaghetti brown butter and mizithra cheese for half of the spaghetti and mushroomsaucefor the other half. great serving size. the spaghetti was perfectly cooked, and the sauces were incredibly delicious. most of the dishes have the "it's all included" in which entrees of either soup or salad, and also ice cream for dessert. both satisfying as well. the service was great, the waiting time for food was just right. my friend booked ousr tables, which was a smart choice since there can be a queue when you just walk in. i love the old theme vibe of the restaurant. for the great food with a reasonable price, i would definitely come back. i strongly recommend trying this place.

i had supper tonight at the old spaghetti factory, which is near my hotel. i got there at 8:40pm.  though they close at 9pm, the host still welcomed me and told me to stay as long as i wanted. cory was my server and he started me with some hot bread. i ordered lasagna.  so many things come with it ... bread, soup or salad (which i passed on), lasagna and ice cream. the lasagna was good! thesaucewas chunky with onions and celery i wasn't hungry but had a couple spoonfuls of vanilla ice cream. cory was friendly and took good care of me.  though i didn't leave until 10pm, i never felt rushed.

going downhill fast.... i am a longtime fan of the old spagetti factory from since i was a child. my parents would bring me here for a good report card and it was a real treat! so of course this was a given when my daughter and her boyfriend came in from victoria to visit....

the service sucked bigtime! i waited 15 minutes for our waitress to finally bring the refill for my lemonade, and this is from when she took my glass. we had to ask each time for more bread and butter as well.

the food was good, but the mushroomsaucehad mushroom slices instead of whole small ones as has always been before. and when the included ice cream came, it was barely half a scoop.

i regretted suggesting coming here for dinner- they just do not seem to care any more. and the total lack of a line seems to show that people are starting to go elsewhere. i know i will...

holy cow. this place is terrible. please don't go here if you are in the mood for good, decent, remotely edible italian food. for starters it took about 10 minutes for our waiter to even come ask about drinks, another 10 to bring them and some bread (who serves sourdough at an italian place??) the pasta was awful! my ravioli was very obviously frozen, no flavor at all in the alfredo. my husband got the chicken marsala. the pasta was still hard in places and literally had a freakin mountain of cheese on it. now, i love cheese, but this was ridiculous. he also said that the marsalasaucetasted like something out of a tv dinner for salisbury steak. neither of us ate more than a quarter of our meals, we were offered complimentary ice cream which we very quickly declined and could not get out of there fast enough. on a positive note, the water was great. very cold.

gone downhill. i remember this place being a lot better in the past. maybe it's just because going to the old spaghetti factory was such a treat as a kid. i'm not going to complain too much about the service because it was extremely busy, our server was very young and it was obviously her first time working in a restaurant. she made a couple of mistakes and got flustered but was otherwise friendly and helpful. the food however was awful. the bread was bland and starchy. the clam chowder was lukewarm and had gristly bacon bits mixed in. i ordered the spaghetti with mushroom sauce. there was very littlesauceon the pasta and it tasted "cardboard-y." the only thing i enjoyed was a glass of wine. i had fond memories of this place, especially the interior decor but i'm sorry to say i won't be back due to the poor quality of the food.

meh. my party of 8 were there for father's day. we went there with reservation and being seated was seamless. we were given a couple of bread placed on 2 bread boards -- which was not the perfect setting if there's 8 people trying to get their hands on the bread. they should've provided for small plates at least -- we would've asked but she's nowhere to be found. soup was ok. i had the baby back ribs, it tasted like i it was heated from the day before, my spaghetti was soggy, thesaucetastes like the pre-made ones. my sister had the lemon chicken, i had a bite of it -- that one was good. a couple of people had the ny steak, it was extremely dry and bland. our server was slow that we didn't even want our ice cream and we only wanted to get out of there. i don't think i'll ever go back again -- i'd rather eat elsewhere next time.

my husband took me here for my birthday. i'd heard good things about this place, but we probably won't be going there again. the hostess told us it would be a 10-15 minutea wait, which was fine, but till were were finally seated, it was more like 30 minutes. we waited for a long time until finally a server came& took our order. the bread was wonderful, but my salad was a plate of wilted lettuce. my husband's coffee was cold, and i was quite disappointed with the waterysauceon my seafood fettucine alfredo. we were not offered any drink refills even though our drinka were empty mid-meal, and our cups at the edge of the table. the server asked what kind of ice cream we wanted, but he brought us the wrong kind. he apologized later.
for the higher price per plate, this restaurant isn't worth your time or money. there is definitely better italian food elsewhere, with much better service.

i ordered spinach and cheese ravioli and while the pasta wasn't bad the marinarasaucecovering it tasted like ragu with enough sugar to make 4 gallons of kool-aid added. my girlfriend ordered spinach tortellini with alfredo sauce. again the past was not terrible but the alfredosaucetaste more like breakfast gravy. i will never return to an old spaghetti factory. i hope you have better luck than myself.
