good place for an average meal, don't expect anything great. ended up here last night without planning to, but happened to be at the forks. we got there at ~7:30pm and were seated within a few minutes. therestaurantwas super busy and crowded inside - the hostess ended up placing us at a table directly beside a large party celebrating a child's birthday. we asked her if there was a quieter table, to which she was completely agreeable to after asking us to wait just a few more minutes.

service was on the poorer side, but they were training a new server in our section so that slowed things down a bit. the server that was training her (a larger male who i have seen there before) was obnoxiously loud when talking with customers and was pretty embarrassing at times. the girl he was training forgot to take the menus off our table when we ordered, and we had placed them on the inside area of our table that isn't reachable for the server. he leaned right across me, to the point of brushing against me, and completely into my personal space to grab the menus.

food is always average. don't expect anything more than that. fettuccine alfredo with chicken was cooked well, sauce was average. not really worth paying so much for the chicken added to it (the portion is very small), but i wanted some protein. partner had the mushroom raviolli that is on their "newer" menu. dish is way overpriced for the portion size, would not order it again.

extremely disappointed! terrible service, limited menu choices, the menu items we ordered were poorly prepared. the food tasted like bad microwave dinners.

the atmosphere in thisrestaurantis gorgeous but the food and service ruined the entire experience!

we were not offered mozzarella, we had to ask for bread twice, the it did not even come until we were finished w our food. we could not even get drink refils. never going back!

a winnipeg favorite!. i love the old spaghetti factory! it's one of my and my friends "go to" places whenever we want a girls night, lunch break or even a date! we have always had great food there. i love their lasagna! the spaghetti like many other reviewers however…i would pass on that. the ribs are very tasty and the steak is pretty good too. my favorite lunch item is the chicken dippers and the raspberry vinigret is like none other i've had and so very yummy! they have nice fresh cut cries!
i recommend this place for large parties as well. they have great service and are very hospitable. i've never been to a better place for large groups (10+). for birthday's they even let you bring your own cake!
the atmosphere and how therestaurantis decked out are beautiful! the service is very friendly and prompt. i' e always had a good time there and will continue to go again and again!

the bread is fantastic, the salad-nothing special, just lettuce with store bought dressing. i had the spicy meat sauce, which was not very spicy but had a nice flavor. overall it was not a meal to be excited about but it's very hard to find anotherrestaurantto give you a meal like that for such a low price.

the old spaghetti factory at the forks is my family's go-to restaurant. the price ranges from $10.74-$18.95, you can get yourself a nice three-course meal. each entree comes with bread, minestrone soup/green salad to start, your choice of entree, tea/coffee and your choice of ice-cream for dessert. i always walk out with nothing but satisfaction!

since therestaurantis at the forks, the weekends are exceptionally busy! my family and i did a walk-in at 5pm on a saturday evening for a group of 3, we had to wait for 35-40 minutes to finally be seated. my suggestion to you is that always make a reservation if you decided to dine in on a weekend.

this place is family-oriented so casual attire will get you by. i'd highly recommend you to check it out if you've never been before. it's a perfect place for groups/couples.

if you're clueless on what to get, my all-time favourite is the chicken alfredo with mushroom and mascarpone cheese ravioli. it's a must-try!!!

my date and i ordered the chicken alfredo with mushroom and mascarpone cheese ravioli. we both enjoyed our dish, and i personally would recommend trying it!

if you're a fan of the mojito, i'd recommend going there to try their strawberry mojito. it's now my new favourite alcoholic beverage. i'll be seeing myself there more often just for the strawberry variant of the mojito.

the cleanliness of therestauranthowever wasn't the best. upon being seated to our table, both my forks still had dry food leftovers which i assume was due to improper washing of the cutlery. the spoons also looked like they were improperly washed. under our table were dirty spoons and a bunch of crumbs. none of this however didn't upset my dining experience. therestaurantlooked like it was in its peak hours and was busy, but given those circumstances, that still shouldn't be an excuse to have a properly cleaned dining booth.

i've dined there about twice or thrice now. i can only see myself giving thisrestauranta lower rating if the next time i'm there, the table we're seated at isn't properly cleaned. though this has only happened to me once at this restaurant, i'd still give this place a high rating.

i used to love thisrestaurantbut i find the quality of the food has gone downhill.  this was always my go to place when i would make a trip to the forks, but my last dining experience left me unimpressed.  there are far better places in the city to get pasta dishes.

delicious food and a unique restaurant! it was my first time going, and i loved it! i tried the manicotti, which came with minestrone soup, bread, ice cream for desert, and a drink, all under $20. 😄
therestaurantwas beautiful, the service was nice and fairly fast. the food was very filling and i will definitely come back again.

we went to the old spaghetti factory for dinner today. it's a reasonably pricedrestaurantwith consistent food. in the past i've seen it on a long wait to get a table but tonight we got right in and the service was pretty fast, maybe because it was sunday.

the value of the meals comes with what is included with them. you get sourdough bread with garlic and regular whipped butter, a choice of soup or salad and coffee or tea and ice cream to finish off your dinner included with most dishes.

we got the calamari to try it and it was a rip off! it was alright but for 10 dollars and a small portion of underseasoned calamari and thick, tasteless tzatiki we could have gone without it.

the minestrone soup was perfect. i got the spaghetti with browned butter and mizithra cheese and my boyfriend got the spaghetti and clam sauce. we enjoyed the pastas but were so full of bread, soup and calamari that we took most of it to go. the meal was finished with the included spumoni ice cream, best spumoni i have ever had!

pros: consistent food, lots of food, well priced, good minestrone and spumoni, great location (the forks)

cons: can be a long wait, old, outdated decor (i guess that's why it's called the old spaghetti factory), atmosphere is kind of grungy and weird, calamari was a rip off

came here tonight on request of my little sister as today was her birthday. the old spaghetti factory is a family favorite for us and we definitely don't come here enough.
we love the fun atmosphere given off by the rustic look and of course the trolley (where we got to sit tonight, yay!) there has never been a time where the service and food were any less than exceptional. tonight there was no exception to that statement.
one of my favorite things about therestaurantis its bread which came out first, followed by a house salad with caesar dressing. for my entrée i had a garlic mizithra pasta with bacon and mushrooms. for the table we also got a butter and mizithra broccoli dish (what can i say, we're mizithra fans)
due to the service and being part of a family tradition, i decided to rate thisrestauranta 4.0. it's a family-friendly and welcoming place that everyone can enjoy.
would recommend to others.

like many others have mentioned, this establishment is mainly a tourist attraction. very crowed with visitors, like myself. i believe the biggest selling point is the building. it is very unique as far the architecture. the service was good. i didn't have any major cleanliness issues, though when arestaurantgets this much business there is bound to be some messiness, and the restrooms suffer!!! the food was just average. i didn't eat anything that wowed me. in fact, some of it made me think it came from a box. value was average. i think it's a nice place to visit once, but not sure i'd be in hurry to return.

this used to be my favouriterestaurantbut it's like the more i come here, the more bad it gets each time. it's always too busy now. there's terrible service. bunch of flys everywhere. the flys harass you when you're trying to eat. the salad wasn't fresh and it had hard pieces of lettuce in it and there was way too much pepper in the dressing. my dad found hair in his spaghetti. it was disgusting. this is the worst time ever and i'm not coming here again.

great familyrestaurantwith a menu full of pasta and other comfort food and enough variety to keep everyone happy. every meal includes drinks, fresh baked bread, soup or salad and ice cream at a reasonable price. the main, rear seating area is a sun-filled space that overlooks the bustling forks walking paths.

nice looking atmosphere and great cheesy-garlic bread. that's about all that i can say was good. the rest of the food was mediocre at best. the portions were small and to be quite honest, i've tasted better italian food from bertolli in the freezer section @ the grocery store. we ordered chicken parmesan, chicken alfredo and chicken marsala. even the salad and ice-cream were not that good. the salad was merely iceberg lettuce with some tiny croutons on it & dressing of choice. oh and by the way.....they do not have any italian dressing. i've never heard of and italian-stylerestaurantnot serving italian dressing. ice cream....i've had better from great value. i ordered the spumoni.....definitely not the spumoni i am familiar with. i am in no way a professional food critic and i also do not make it a personal habit to go around writing bad reviews on restaurants to be rude. i'm writing this review based upon the sheer disappointment i felt from my experience at this establishment. i will definitely not dine here ever in the future.  such low quality of food was definitely not worth the $$ spent.
