mothers day buffet. went to ocean's at arthur's for mothers day brunch. the only thing that i ate that was even slightly ok was the mac and cheese and the creme' brulee. i had eggs benedict, it was cold the muffin was hard as a rock, the bacon was limp, the deviled egg wasn't edible, the cornbread dressing was dried up. the service was horrible! the waitress rolled her eye's at me twice. once when i asked about my tea, she had served everyone else their drinks but i hadn't gotten mine and again when she asked if i was finished with my plate and i said no. she was also rude to two other people in my party. the wait was at least 45 min long and ended up costing me $32.60, for this much money thefoodand service both should have been exceptional! i will not be returning and will tell everyone i know to avoid this restaurant! just because this restaurant is in a more affluent area doesn't mean they should charge an outrageous amount and provide mediocarefoodand service.

horrible mother's day brunch - may 2014!!!. went there for mother's day brunch and our experience was horrible to say the least!!! we had a reservation and they sat us after 45 mins of waiting. they prioritize the walk-ins over us who had reservations. and the biggest turn off was the owner was there seating everyone first and just passed us several times. he totally ignored us - how unprofessional for the owner!!! thefoodwas just a repeat from their sunday brunches if you've been there on an ordinary sunday. charging more just because it's mother's day is totally a rip off!!! oh let me not forget, there were a few additions, excuse me. like the crepe station for one, where the person in charged of putting it together ( simply because the crepes itself was ready made tasted like store bought,) the poor guy didn't even get enough training to just put it together. let's not even talk about how it tasted. definitely not coming back!!!

sunday brunch. oceans at arthur's is the best kept secret in little rock for sunday brunch. the price is amazingly low and thefoodis excellent. my wife and i have been many times and the place isn't overly busy. thefoodand drinks are as good as it get in arkansas! the waiters are sometimes great and sometimes horrible but thefoodis so good you forget if you have a bad waiter.i would rate this bruch as the best in little rock. we have tryed many places for brunch and none are nearly as good as oceans at arthur's. if you read this and don't go you are missing the finestfoodin arkansas. i have recommened this place to many people and they all thank me and say it is the best bruch they have ever had.i call this place 5 stars out of 5.

oceans little rock. my husband and i had our anniversary dinner at oceans. i had heard about this newest seafood restaurant and the freshness of the seafood so we decided to try it. the service was good and the quality offoodwas good but the quantity was disappointing. my husband had the mixed seafood grill and the largest portion on his plate was the asparagus. for $20 we felt like he should have gotten more than 2 skewers (yes really) of seafood. 2-shrimp, 1.5 scallops, 2 one inch cubes of salmon and 2 slices of polenta. my $22 grouper was a decent portion and good flavor but the linguine with squash (?) was bland bland bland. we started with oysters, raw on half shell and baked rockefeller. both were good but the baked was just warm (?). the $7 caesar was a handful of romain with little dressing that was supposed to be anchovy vinagrette (?). thanks again to our server who sensed our disappointment (we laughed when she asked if we had room for dessert) and gave us a complimentary creme brulee. all in all we enjoyed ourselves since it was our anniversary but next time we will go to cajuns.

lunch special. this is my first (and last) visit to oceans. when i arrived, i waited for my lunch date. it took 10 min for the girl to ask for my drink order. since it was a lengthy wait, i ordered my date's drink. we waited on a return visit approx. another 10 min. my date asked questions about a specific menu item. the server had no clue and didn't offer to find out. thefoodarrived and it looked great. i ordered fried pork chop and it was fantastic. the sides were all canned veggies--corn, green beans, greens and mashed potato. the pasta dish that date ordered was dripping in butter/oil. when we mentioned it to the server, she "ok, that's fine". what? i sat with an empty tea glass the entire meal. when she finally showed up, we just asked for the ticket. too bad for her--but no tip from me. the service was horrible. this place changes names every year or so...wonder if the service has anything to do with it?

excellent. we've eaten here twice in two weeks and thefoodwas excellent. love the virginia oysters! we can order off of arthur's menu so we had a steak. it's the best by far of many we've had. both of our wait staff were friendly and went above and beyond to make our night fabulous. jerry, the owner, is a doll!!! will be back often!

great service from everyone but my waiter and don't bother with the martinis. the first thing we order is water. when he brings it to us, me and my boyfriend order the pomegrante martini (takes like vodka and nyquil) and the blueberry drop martini (not any better). we also ordered the calamari. ten minutes later he said, "looks like i have to go behind the bar and make the drinks myself." another ten minutes pass. no drinks. another twenty passes and he brings us two small plates (no drinks) while another followed behind with our calamari (great app, but pricey for the amount given). fifteen minutes pass and they bring our dinner (porkchops and blackened tilapia) and the server followed behind with our drinks. fifty minutes for two martinis! they were terrible so we sent them back and got vodka cranberries (much better and only took five minutes). other servers were much more attentive than ours was because our server was too busy taking care of a party that he split with another server or someone else's party. i wish i could remember his name but fourtanetly for him he didn't even bother telling us his name. thefoodwas ok. if someone is down to pay for my meal there i'll return, otherwise i don't plan on spending my money there again.

worst restaurant experience ever. my wife and i were dressed up for a wedding and thought we'd go somewhere nice instead of eating the buffet at the wedding, bad mistake. we started at oceans, the atmosphere was worse than you'd expect for a lower priced chain, but we decided to give it a try. waited 15 minutes before a server finally made it to us, gave her a drink order and had to almost grab her to order some sushi as an app. fifteen minutes later, no drinks, no sushi and no server to be found as she was busy waiting on the two four tops that were seated in her section after us. we'd had enough and were going to leave but thought we should tell the mgr (if we don't he never hears about it and we really do wish they were better), i take him through our issue, he says "let me take care of you and you tell me if things get better", even offers arthurs which we ultimately take him up on. wife has lobster (over cooked), i have tuna (even more over cooked, and cold) and it takes a long time to get the food. the server advised that she was in the weeds so we cut her some slack. bill comes and it's full list, i pay and ask the server if the mgr advised her of our bad start, she tells us that he did and that he told her to give us free desert, but since we didn't order any, well there wasn't anything she could do for us. nice lady, tried hard, but way over booked in her area. net we'll listen to our friends in the future and will stay away from jerry's restaurants (we tried the brazilian steak house, stunk, we tried the mexican and italian restaurants, both horrible experiences) as they have no clue on how to give even decent service. thefoodis hit and miss at best.

jerry does it again!!!. if you have ever eaten at one of jerry's places then you know he expects nothing but the best . from the quality of thefoodto the service of his wait staff. oceans does not disappoint. generouse portions at fair prices. this is not a discount sushi joint, but it is well worth every penny. seriously once you see the size of the cuts of fish you will understand. he flies his fish in fresh 3 times a week from all over. quality that you come to expect from the owner of arthur's and gauchos. if you see jerry running around ask him about it. he is very proud and should be.it is worth the drive out to wlr to try it out. and always if you are craving something from the other menus they are more tan happy to accommodate. we celebrated with our two year anniversary. with a table full offoodfor 4 people and cocktails and a bottle of wine for around 200.00 it was a special occasion and we orderd some things off the other menus but there is something for every budget. so support your local businesses and check out oceans at arthurs!
