consistent, great food. i had the grilledshrimp& grits and my wife had friedshrimpfrom the lunch menu. clean taste. we've only dined outside... but why waste a beautiful day indoors??? beautiful place inside and out.
our waiter, robert, is a pro! he understands customer service better than anyone in st. augustine. timely, knowledgeable, personable and sooo friendly. he was very entertaining.
we've dined at oc white's several times and has been an excellent experience every time.
by the way, free parking across the street when you show your recept. we'll be back with family and friends.

great location, nice breeze, and good live music on the patio - we really wanted to like this place but just another tourist trap.

we had the gambit from the menu, chicken sandwich, crabby mahi (a specialty),shrimpabaco, and twin lobster tails. from boring to bland to flavorless to rubbery - we had it all.

service was weak - constantly had to ask for everything - had to ask to order after we were done eating appetizers. had to ask for ketchup for fries, drink refills, you name it - our experience led us to believe the staff are probably not properly trained.

if you are going here for food, just don't do it. please. we would have been better off at a chain - at least at chilis, i know what to expect. i can't understand any positive reviews and i know some chefs are better than others but even then, there should be some consistency in the establishment.

please save your money. btw, not one person finished their dinner - including the twin lobster tails.

dinner 7/3/14 two stars-would not recommend to my friends.. great potential, location and outdoor dining area, the missing link is the chef.
ordered steamer bucket and caribbean salad. steamer bucket is served on a plate, not in bullion base as described to keep food warm. crab was good, shrimpwere under cooked, mushy, tasteless and near impossible to peel. the caribbean salad was awful!! warm greens with a pile of canned mandarin orange, coconut....mush ice cream scooped into the center.

drinks, ordered the sangria, cheap wine, no brandy...oh! was that fruit...no. yuk!!
service, 3-stars, poor management is obvious.
price, 1 star, over priced, obvious they target the tourist trade and not the locals who are savvy to the mkt.

new favorite restaurant. my husband and i came for dinner on friday night. we are st. augustine locals but hadn’t tried oc whites yet. i am glad we did! we were sat right away under the jasmine arbor (smelt amazing). we started with the coconutshrimpappetizer, i had a mojito and my husband had a draft beer. wow was the mojito good! for the entrée i ordered the herb grouper, which was cooked perfectly, and the fish tasted very fresh. my husband got the surf and turf... two words “lobster tail” yum!

the service was great. the young male server was very helpful and quickly got us drinks when needed. the manager stopped by to see how things were going as well. i noticed that he made his way through the restaurant to talk to all the tables.

i am glad we stopped in and i am sure we will make it one of our go-to restaurants.

tourist trap. this review probably does not matter, this is a tourist trap operating on seasonal volume. however, i have been dining here for over for over 20 years and i deserve an opinion about this restaurant. it has steadily declined. noisy, beyond full volume. 100% tourist trap. we went there for the 20 oz porterhouse on the website menu. we were told; "we need to update our website, that is no longer available". we settled onshrimpabaco and seafood martinique. the menu stated that there was blue crab meat in the martinique. there was no crab. to make matters worse, theshrimpwere not cleaned, not a one had the vein removed. totally disgusting dish. when i pointed out there was no crab in the dish it was taken to the kitchen and more glop was dolloped on the noodles which were so over cooked, i could have used a straw on them. the abacoshrimpdish was tasteless and overcooked. when we arrived, the fellow at the free parking lot informed us that after we had consumed our food, the car needed to be moved. what hospitality, what a mensch.tell you what, i will never return. i live here and i don't need this. goodbye oc. this place is a black mark on downtown st augustine. regarding the view, i got my own boat.

not just a tourist trap. my partner and i, and our families, have had some incredible meals and evenings here at o c white's -- usually seated in the lush covered courtyard at one of the stone tables listening to live music and enjoying darn good seafood including pecan-crusted grouper. we had originally avoided going here because it looks so much like your typical st. augustine tourist trap, but were drawn in by the sounds of james taylor cover singer one evening. so glad we went - now it is our 'go to' place in st. augustine.

i particularly like their grouper st. augustine, and i love their bruschetta, it is so addictive our table usually ends up ordering a 2nd batch. theshrimpis always fresh local mayport shrimp, and the salmon served here is 'sterling' salmon from british columbia, fresh caught from the wild, so it will be either king (chinook) or sockeye depending on the season.
