i've eaten here a few times. brunch was good when i was in a few years ago. drinks were reasonably priced, but i was very disappointed with the mahi sandwich. i was pleased that i was able to get steamed veggies instead of fries, but the piece of mahi was tiny. it was barely thicker than a 1/4" and was 1/2 the size of the bun at best. between the bun, lettuce, tomato, and some tartar sauce, they could have left the fish off and you wouldn't notice. not trying to slam theplacebecause it's nice atmosphere, but for a $14 fish sandwich, it could have been more fulfilling.

consistent, great food. i had the grilled shrimp & grits and my wife had fried shrimp from the lunch menu. clean taste. we've only dined outside... but why waste a beautiful day indoors??? beautifulplaceinside and out.
our waiter, robert, is a pro! he understands customer service better than anyone in st. augustine. timely, knowledgeable, personable and sooo friendly. he was very entertaining.
we've dined at oc white's several times and has been an excellent experience every time.
by the way, free parking across the street when you show your recept. we'll be back with family and friends.

great location, nice breeze, and good live music on the patio - we really wanted to like thisplacebut just another tourist trap.

we had the gambit from the menu, chicken sandwich, crabby mahi (a specialty), shrimp abaco, and twin lobster tails. from boring to bland to flavorless to rubbery - we had it all.

service was weak - constantly had to ask for everything - had to ask to order after we were done eating appetizers. had to ask for ketchup for fries, drink refills, you name it - our experience led us to believe the staff are probably not properly trained.

if you are going here for food, just don't do it. please. we would have been better off at a chain - at least at chilis, i know what to expect. i can't understand any positive reviews and i know some chefs are better than others but even then, there should be some consistency in the establishment.

please save your money. btw, not one person finished their dinner - including the twin lobster tails.

good food; easy downtown parking. aside from the food, the main thing we love about thisplaceis the atmosphere. the musician can sometimes be hit or miss. the crab dip is a great appetizer. their seafood trio is always excellent. the portions tend t be large so we prefer to take advantage of the free parking and walk around downtown after dinner. it can tend to be pricey but it is definitely worth it.

overpriced and serves sauces in small plastic cups. service was lacking. was "highly recommended" by hotel next door with guest coupon, but server said it's not good on "holiday weekends" despite it being late dinner friday night and theplacewas not even 1/2 full.

amazing location but food never cooked properly service hit or miss. as a local - i've been going here for a year years. amazing location - but it stops there. service is hit or miss. some wait staff truly understands and values giving prompt courteous service (such as the sunday bartender a young kid who's name i don't recall) - others are just off the charts bad. food - could be good if they had an actual chef. they don't - they have a cook. big difference. a chef knows how to prepare food. a cook serves food under or over cooked which is what happens every time i visit thisplacethe last year. potatoes at brunch today were brown on the outside and raw on the inside. it was the exact same thing last weekend. i asked for them to be cooked - the outcome was to put them in the microwave, which subsequently dried them out. food at a restaurant should never go in a microwave. and, it doesn't matter if it's for dinner or sunday brunch - food is never cooked properly. it's to the point my check has been comped on three occasions because it's been so bad. and after today - it's not even worth the aggravation. and as i put myself through college waiting tables - i'm very well aware that tips = to insure prompt service and how to properly cook food.

tourist trap. this review probably does not matter, this is a tourist trap operating on seasonal volume. however, i have been dining here for over for over 20 years and i deserve an opinion about this restaurant. it has steadily declined. noisy, beyond full volume. 100% tourist trap. we went there for the 20 oz porterhouse on the website menu. we were told; "we need to update our website, that is no longer available". we settled on shrimp abaco and seafood martinique. the menu stated that there was blue crab meat in the martinique. there was no crab. to make matters worse, the shrimp were not cleaned, not a one had the vein removed. totally disgusting dish. when i pointed out there was no crab in the dish it was taken to the kitchen and more glop was dolloped on the noodles which were so over cooked, i could have used a straw on them. the abaco shrimp dish was tasteless and overcooked. when we arrived, the fellow at the free parking lot informed us that after we had consumed our food, the car needed to be moved. what hospitality, what a mensch.tell you what, i will never return. i live here and i don't need this. goodbye oc. thisplaceis a black mark on downtown st augustine. regarding the view, i got my own boat.

me and my family were impressed by the service, staff and food. our food was cooked perfectly to our liking our drinks never ran dry but we weren't drowning in refills. i wasn't feeling seafood and figured i would go with a steak. it was possibly the best cut of a ny strip i've ever had. they prepared it perfecty, they didn't over season it but kept it simple and it was absolutely perfect. the swordfish tuna and even te fried calimari was exactly what you would expect from an a list restraint without the pretentiousness. if you are in the area this is oneplaceyou must dine at at least once to sample what the locals have to offer.

a goodplacefor drinks. and maybe one or two snacks but most of the menu is tourist geared and not to my liking at all. lots of fried food, the view here is very nice and it's a goodplaceto relax after a day of sightseeing.

not just a tourist trap. my partner and i, and our families, have had some incredible meals and evenings here at o c white's -- usually seated in the lush covered courtyard at one of the stone tables listening to live music and enjoying darn good seafood including pecan-crusted grouper. we had originally avoided going here because it looks so much like your typical st. augustine tourist trap, but were drawn in by the sounds of james taylor cover singer one evening. so glad we went - now it is our 'go to'placein st. augustine.

i particularly like their grouper st. augustine, and i love their bruschetta, it is so addictive our table usually ends up ordering a 2nd batch. the shrimp is always fresh local mayport shrimp, and the salmon served here is 'sterling' salmon from british columbia, fresh caught from the wild, so it will be either king (chinook) or sockeye depending on the season.
