some friends introduced me to this great restaurant at lunch today in the beautiful old town section of st. augustine. we enjoyed our freshseafoodentrees while admiring the lovely landscaping on the patio in front of the national historic register original coral rock building. stunning food, place, friends, & day. check it out!

loved everything. our table had crabby mahi, parmesan grouper and aseafoodpasta special. everything was fresh, taster and prepared perfectly. our waiter michael was very helpful and mindful of our request. the bloody marys were great as well especially if u like spicy. the atmosphere was very fitting for the oldest town in america.

we went to a restaurant in st. augustine called o.c. white'sseafoodand spirits.  the restaurant itself reminded me of an old house.  the ambiance was relaxed and there was live music which is always nice. me and natalie, the bride to be. ok, on to the food.  there were a lot of us so i only took pics of 3 of our dishes.  now i love me some seafood, however, the food here left me sorely disappointed.  at least my dish did, and i'll tell you why in a few. this was the smoked salmon dish that one of the bridesmaids ordered.  it came with salmon of course, capers, cream cheese, tomatoes, onions, and toast points.  i thought it looked pretty good and she said it was tasty.

good food; easy downtown parking. aside from the food, the main thing we love about this place is the atmosphere. the musician can sometimes be hit or miss. the crab dip is a great appetizer. theirseafoodtrio is always excellent. the portions tend t be large so we prefer to take advantage of the free parking and walk around downtown after dinner. it can tend to be pricey but it is definitely worth it.

tourist trap. this review probably does not matter, this is a tourist trap operating on seasonal volume. however, i have been dining here for over for over 20 years and i deserve an opinion about this restaurant. it has steadily declined. noisy, beyond full volume. 100% tourist trap. we went there for the 20 oz porterhouse on the website menu. we were told; "we need to update our website, that is no longer available". we settled on shrimp abaco andseafoodmartinique. the menu stated that there was blue crab meat in the martinique. there was no crab. to make matters worse, the shrimp were not cleaned, not a one had the vein removed. totally disgusting dish. when i pointed out there was no crab in the dish it was taken to the kitchen and more glop was dolloped on the noodles which were so over cooked, i could have used a straw on them. the abaco shrimp dish was tasteless and overcooked. when we arrived, the fellow at the free parking lot informed us that after we had consumed our food, the car needed to be moved. what hospitality, what a mensch.tell you what, i will never return. i live here and i don't need this. goodbye oc. this place is a black mark on downtown st augustine. regarding the view, i got my own boat.

me and my family were impressed by the service, staff and food. our food was cooked perfectly to our liking our drinks never ran dry but we weren't drowning in refills. i wasn't feelingseafoodand figured i would go with a steak. it was possibly the best cut of a ny strip i've ever had. they prepared it perfecty, they didn't over season it but kept it simple and it was absolutely perfect. the swordfish tuna and even te fried calimari was exactly what you would expect from an a list restraint without the pretentiousness. if you are in the area this is one place you must dine at at least once to sample what the locals have to offer.

surprisingly good seafood!. it's on the tourist belt around st. augustine's bay, it offers ample parking in an area where it's very hard to find -- so it has every other reason to be dull, unclean, expensive and tardy on service. but isn't! they have draft beers and crab cakes i'll come back for. everybody in our party orderedseafoodand were happy with what they got. a vine covered pergola in the garden offers cool shade under the floridian sun. service is good. prices are fair. recommended!

not just a tourist trap. my partner and i, and our families, have had some incredible meals and evenings here at o c white's -- usually seated in the lush covered courtyard at one of the stone tables listening to live music and enjoying darn goodseafoodincluding pecan-crusted grouper. we had originally avoided going here because it looks so much like your typical st. augustine tourist trap, but were drawn in by the sounds of james taylor cover singer one evening. so glad we went - now it is our 'go to' place in st. augustine.

i particularly like their grouper st. augustine, and i love their bruschetta, it is so addictive our table usually ends up ordering a 2nd batch. the shrimp is always fresh local mayport shrimp, and the salmon served here is 'sterling' salmon from british columbia, fresh caught from the wild, so it will be either king (chinook) or sockeye depending on the season.
