nusr-et steakhouse

this place was on my bucket list a long time ago and finally i got the opportunity to taste it. i didnt get the chance to photograph everything cause the food was epic! the meat is delicious!!and the presentation is amazing.but the service was bad ;weordered 3 burgers and they only got us 2 fries ,weasked the staff several times for it but they simply ignored .the baklawa and the tea are super good! its also a must order.

the moment i book a ticket to turkey , a must visit was to nusr et etiler steakhouse.wewent for the first time without any reservation at 8, they told us thatweneeded to wait up to 2 hours soweleft. i reserved for the next day at 2. aswearrived our table was ready and they were quick to serve us.

place: very nice outlet in one of the most prestigious streets of etiler, istanbul. outdoor seating is very nice.

service: fast, good service yet they were a bit mean and neutral.

food :

starters :

 dana carppacio which is thin raw meat slices with parmesan cheese, rocket leaves and olive oil. if you don`t mind eating raw meat then definitely order it. if not, then skip it as a starter. (2/5)

salads :

tulum peynir salatasi : goat cheese salad with greens, pomegranate , olive oil and walnuts. i didn`t like a lot the combination of the goast cheese with the sauce they did. it was okay. if you`re not a fan of goat cheese again do not order it. it has a bitter taste. (3/5)

beef filets:

lokum: slices of thin steak filets which so tender and juicy and taste great with salt. comes with a plate of fries which are seasoned with origano but they were somehow soggy rather than crunchy and crispy. (4/5)

if you want a buttery taste , make sure to order the nusr et special where it is served with hot butter sauce straight from the pan.

burgers:

nusr et burger: a big fat meat  burger patty with cheese , smoked beef  and caramelized onions. the beef patty is tender and a bit juicy yet lacks a little of seasoning. it was good. comes also with fries. the burger is huge so you can share with someone if you are ordering other plates. (4/5)

garnish: 

mantar:  mushroom  marinated with black pepper, garlic and onion. i didn`t find it as a necessity garnish. not a major fan of mushrooms too. (2/5)

sogan cicegi: flower onion that is deep fried and comes with a tartar sauce. i am not a fan of onion rings so i regreted ordering it because it was just oily and tasteless. (1/5)

desserts: baklava with ashta icecream which is the signature dessert in turkey. is if very good yet too sweet so you could have 2 pieces maximum.

drink: turkish tea on the house

overall experience:  the waiter was somehow mean. when it came to the carpaciowetold him that it was our fault thatwedidn`t know that it would be raw meat and thatwedidn`t want to eat it. he was very rude by just saying okay i will throw it away and will not take it out of the check. andwedidn`t even mention anything about the bill.

i think social media is being over rated with all these food places. i do admit nusr et sells one of the most tender and juiciest meats and it tastes good. but nothing really special or wow. the food tastes good but you should know what to order depending on your references. i would find meat places in beirut that sell also this kind of meat.

prices: not very expensive yet not cheap . it is cheaper than other outlets in other countries.weended up spending 100$ on those plates.

make sure to book online before you go. peak time is between 6-11 pm
again this is my own taste and reference. but i`m being honest because i had high expectations of this place.

okey! i rest my case.
nusr-et had me first at this magnificent salad of goat cheese with the dried blueberry and grapes! it's just amazing.
now that i have tried their food in both branches, i really recommend this branch! the service is quite perfect; helpful, friendly and funny!
they serve you with a funny act/show to keep you entertained that's what makes a good service though!
the food was overwhelming, yetwehave ordered more than enough!!wecouldn't eat half of it ?
don't ask me! i would have enjoyed my bowl of salad without all of these dishes. but men will always be men!!

traveled to turkey specifically to taste nusr-et!
we booked a day before for 8:00 pm, got a table by around 9:15! reservations are not actually respected, it wasnt clear who came first as the host was overwhelmed by the number of people jammed in the waiting area (would say around 60-70).

good thing is the food was worth the wait!weordered almost everything on the menu just to have a taste of everything. the meat melts in your mouth, the salad is fresh, the baklava ice cream is amazing!

the atmosphere (once you sit down) is nice, the waiters are friendly and they hand fed us (which they do sometimes as a sort of entertainment).

anything on their menu is recommended! worth every penny!

i am rating this place before even sitting on a table; just based on the reception and the customer service at the door. nusr-et was famous for being a fine dining steakhouse, however unfortunately the reception at the door was enough to disappoint. there is one receptionist serving more than 30 people waiting to sit down and have a joyful mean. they told uswewill be waiting 30min and yetwewaited more than 1h before getting a table. receptionist is shouting as people are frustrated for the long wait and there is only one ipad managing the whole tables layouts.

been there without a prior reservation .... and it was a mistake , stayed in queue for 1h 40min .
and expect a bit of rudeness by the spg, maybe coz of client’s pressure.
food was perfect
all dishes are recommended if you are looking for real men meat crave .
staff ( waiters ) were kind despite wrong orders landed on our table 3 times
wine list requested from the waiter but..... never received sowehad no wine.
service timing was acceptable
elegant atmosphere and relaxing interior design ambiance
prices were affordable comparing to other branches in other countries.

the food is absolutely insane, just delicious!
my rating went from 5.0 to 4.0 because the hosting system is awful!wehad reserved 1 hour before arriving, and whenwegot therewestill waited for 1 hour and 45 minutes!!!! had i known this ahead of time i would’ve changed our dinner plans because this was a business dinner with a partner... the hostess kept showing me my name on her ipad and saying we’ll be seated in 10 mins, about 7 times...

i love the food at this place . everything is tasty . i hate only the one hour and a halfwehave waited for our table despite thatwehave reservation . but after you eat the good food you forget this . nusret etiler is the best between all other nusret restaurants in istanbul

let me tell you something, your visit to istanbul is definitely incomplete if you don’t pass by nusr-et steakhouse!

the place is supercrowded so you need to make a reservation. the staff are very professional and work really hard to make sure everyone gets seated and the customers waiting to feel at ease with some drinks.

the decoration is very modern and the seating is comfortable, tables are large so they fit the big portions served by the place.

we ordered dana kaburga (beef ribs), fillet mignon bonfíle (fillet mignon steak), and nusret special.

the meat tasted heavenly! it was mouthwatering, and the whole meat experience was amazing! it might be the best meatweever tasted. i highly recommend all the mealsweordered, with a special highlight on the beef ribs which was our favorite! the meat is juicy, very rich in taste ??

last but not least, for dessertwetook the baklava with ice cream which was super delicious!

almost all the meat meals are served with a show which takes you to a whole another experience!

the overall experience was one of a kind, the prices are expensive, yet they really match the high expectations you put on this place and its food!

would definitely visit again and again!

great experience.wewere there on the 24th night and it was too too crowded. never seen such crowd in any restaurant i’ve been to anywhere in the world. despite the crowdwewere seated within 15 minutes. off coursewehad reservation otherwisewewouldn’t have been able to sit so quickly. the service was a 5 stars so was the food. i highly recommend this place. try to book before going to avoid waiting. well done for all the team there and thanks for a lovely experience.

after a long waitwetried the famous restaurant, but disappointment begun whenweshared a table with another couple and evenweinsisted on having a separate once available, in 10 min theire was more than 2 tables available,weasked again to move and again they refused saying it was reserved, the good part is the food was good the wine variety is great from local to foreign ones
the place is sooo busy so they have to keep more attention for hygiene especially the menus and table reset
more explanation for beef cuts presented in the menu is a must for a restaurant becoming soo famous world-wide
we left after one hour and both tables were still unoccupied

great place for meat lovers!! honestly not the best place to relax and enjoy the meal, its too crowded and not comfortable. but best meat !wetried the butter fried steaks and the sushi steaks to die for !

regarding that this restaurant is for salt bae, the customer service is very very very extremely bad. i reserved 2 weeks in advance to avoid the queue, which wasnt well organized and very crowdy.weended up waiting 2 hours to get our table with no priority for our reservation (not talking about the rudeness of the hostess)

one cannot visit istanbul without passing by the famous nusr-et steakhouse.
many reviewers criticized the waiting queues, sowedecided to visit it for a late sunday lunch at 4:30 pm.wedidn't book in advance and were seated within 10 minutes.
we ordered nusr-et burger (lovely thick juicy burger with caramelized onions) and new york steak (extremely juicy steak with baked potato and spinach pure).
the portions are generous, the staff is helpful and the taste is well, amazing to say the least!
prices: steaks for ~180 tl, burgers for 55 tl, soft drinks for 12 tl, fresh juices 15 tl.
if you're a meat lover, do not miss nusr-et!

though, a premium destinationwewhere not even given a private table. thinking that i'm paying 300-400 tl and sit with 5 other people i don't know as if i'm in jail frustrates me.
