nusr-et steakhouse

it was disapointing!!! we have reserved 2 days ago and we were astonished from the staff responsible saying that we are like everybody on the waiting list just like more than 30 guests. we came from lebanon as touriststoeat as we heard it that has the best steak; however, it was a sum of: lack of professionalism in greeting, not keeping a reservation and waytodealing with. surely we spread it so everyone knows. what a shame!!!!

every time i traveltoistanbul i visit nusr et steakhouse. the place is always crowded. if you wanttovisit i recommendtobook before you go otherwise you will havetowait for couple hours before you will be abletohave a meal. the taste of the food is amazing especially the nusr et special burger. it is juicy and the sauce is yummy

i’ve tried eating in different places. i can say that nusre-et steakhouse is the best steakhouse in the world by far.
the atmosphere, the smell, the presentation of food, and the taste are what every stake lover is looking for.
i ordered ribeye as starter and dallas steak and it was really great. unfortunately when we arrived they were out of most of the menu items which could the only negative point.
the seasoning of meat is incredible, just order anything with a lot of fat andtobe medium done and enjoy..
highly recommend.

i traveled with my brother and told us that this restaurant is a must, we wait 1 hourtosit, the place was extraordinary the food sooo tasty and made near you, very delightful taste, really it is a must for gourmet steak
big recommendation for that restaurant

we went there yesterday afternoon with my wife and 2 relatives. i will rate each thing seperatley so astomake it cleartoall.
1.) there is a guy, thin medium height who handles the rezervations, he is rather rude and sometimes speaks with a very rude manner. but the rest of the table staff are better and listentoyou.
2.) the place did not smell good, there was a moist smell inside which is not what you want when you eat at ant place, let alone this one.
3.) the toilets are not that clean and very cramped for such a large place. definitely need an upgrade.
4.) the food, we ordered 3 burgers, the burgers were not nicely done, the fries were very cold and even when we told them, they just brought back some more cold fries. also, at their istinye park location for 10 lira on top of the burger you get sweets and coke added in. but at this place that did not apply. for burgers you are much better off goingtotheir istinye park location.

this place was on my bucket list a long time ago and finally i got the opportunitytotaste it. i didnt get the chancetophotograph everything cause the food was epic! the meat is delicious!!and the presentation is amazing.but the service was bad ; we ordered 3 burgers and they only got us 2 fries , we asked the staff several times for it but they simply ignored .the baklawa and the tea are super good! its also a must order.

the moment i book a tickettoturkey , a must visit wastonusr et etiler steakhouse. we went for the first time without any reservation at 8, they told us that we neededtowait upto2 hours so we left. i reserved for the next day at 2. as we arrived our table was ready and they were quicktoserve us.

place: very nice outlet in one of the most prestigious streets of etiler, istanbul. outdoor seating is very nice.

service: fast, good service yet they were a bit mean and neutral.

food :

starters :

 dana carppacio which is thin raw meat slices with parmesan cheese, rocket leaves and olive oil. if you don`t mind eating raw meat then definitely order it. if not, then skip it as a starter. (2/5)

salads :

tulum peynir salatasi : goat cheese salad with greens, pomegranate , olive oil and walnuts. i didn`t like a lot the combination of the goast cheese with the sauce they did. it was okay. if you`re not a fan of goat cheese again do not order it. it has a bitter taste. (3/5)

beef filets:

lokum: slices of thin steak filets which so tender and juicy and taste great with salt. comes with a plate of fries which are seasoned with origano but they were somehow soggy rather than crunchy and crispy. (4/5)

if you want a buttery taste , make suretoorder the nusr et special where it is served with hot butter sauce straight from the pan.

burgers:

nusr et burger: a big fat meat  burger patty with cheese , smoked beef  and caramelized onions. the beef patty is tender and a bit juicy yet lacks a little of seasoning. it was good. comes also with fries. the burger is huge so you can share with someone if you are ordering other plates. (4/5)

garnish: 

mantar:  mushroom  marinated with black pepper, garlic and onion. i didn`t find it as a necessity garnish. not a major fan of mushrooms too. (2/5)

sogan cicegi: flower onion that is deep fried and comes with a tartar sauce. i am not a fan of onion rings so i regreted ordering it because it was just oily and tasteless. (1/5)

desserts: baklava with ashta icecream which is the signature dessert in turkey. is if very good yet too sweet so you could have 2 pieces maximum.

drink: turkish tea on the house

overall experience:  the waiter was somehow mean. when it cametothe carpacio we told him that it was our fault that we didn`t know that it would be raw meat and that we didn`t wanttoeat it. he was very rude by just saying okay i will throw it away and will not take it out of the check. and we didn`t even mention anything about the bill.

i think social media is being over rated with all these food places. i do admit nusr et sells one of the most tender and juiciest meats and it tastes good. but nothing really special or wow. the food tastes good but you should know whattoorder depending on your references. i would find meat places in beirut that sell also this kind of meat.

prices: not very expensive yet not cheap . it is cheaper than other outlets in other countries. we ended up spending 100$ on those plates.

make suretobook online before you go. peak time is between 6-11 pm
again this is my own taste and reference. but i`m being honest because i had high expectations of this place.

if i could give this experience a 0, i would. nusret ruined my istanbul trip. i had booked a table on opentable as soon as i booked my plane ticket from dubai. i got there for my 8.30pm table, was madetowait till 10pm. over 50 people waiting, one hostess walking around and not giving answerstoanyone (or lying and saying 2 min) and a horribly disorganized system. by the time food reaches the tables, it has been coughed and sneezed on by the people waiting around. i do not recommend thistoanyone. their dubai branch is more expensive but please go there instead if you get the chance and save yourself the trouble.

must pass by every time i am in istanbul. the best steak and ribs. cool service. clean. friendly staff. at least they speak english. make suretotry also the burger. don't miss the dessert.

best steak house in the world , i was shocked of how much the meat was tasty , i ate a meal for two on my own. i also heard that they are opening in dubai, abu dhabi and london.
guys if you are in istanbul it is a must for youtotry it.

okey! i rest my case.
nusr-et had me first at this magnificent salad of goat cheese with the dried blueberry and grapes! it's just amazing.
now that i have tried their food in both branches, i really recommend this branch! the service is quite perfect; helpful, friendly and funny!
they serve you with a funny act/showtokeep you entertained that's what makes a good service though!
the food was overwhelming, yet we have ordered more than enough!! we couldn't eat half of it ?
don't ask me! i would have enjoyed my bowl of salad without all of these dishes. but men will always be men!!

we booked a day before for 8:00 pm, got a table by around 9:15! reservations are not actually respected, it wasnt clear who came first as the host was overwhelmed by the number of people jammed in the waiting area (would say around 60-70).

good thing is the food was worth the wait! we ordered almost everything on the menu justtohave a taste of everything. the meat melts in your mouth, the salad is fresh, the baklava ice cream is amazing!

the atmosphere (once you sit down) is nice, the waiters are friendly and they hand fed us (which they do sometimes as a sort of entertainment).

anything on their menu is recommended! worth every penny!

amazing food! the portion, the taste, and the price are all proportional and so reasonable! even if you reserve, you havetowait a little at the entrance and ofcourse is this something expected when visiting a 5 star international restaurant!

i am rating this place before even sitting on a table; just based on the reception and the customer service at the door. nusr-et was famous for being a fine dining steakhouse, however unfortunately the reception at the door was enoughtodisappoint. there is one receptionist serving more than 30 people waitingtosit down and have a joyful mean. they told us we will be waiting 30min and yet we waited more than 1h before getting a table. receptionist is shouting as people are frustrated for the long wait and there is only one ipad managing the whole tables layouts.
