would have rated 5 for sure, if not for the stupid waiting list, sharing tables and unorganized reservations.
we waited around 1 hour in an awful reception, with hostesses screaming customers names.
with no where to sit, and waiters passing by between the crowd with hot platters, screaming “pardon” to people to move!
well thisishow the experience at the very famous nusret started.
till our name came up and we were seated on a table with 2 other people that we don’t know.
everything was awful till food came !
steakisreally awesome and the beef ribs are heaven !!!
very soft meat not chewy at all.
would have preferred some other sides with the platters like some mashed potatoes per example.
after tasting the food you understand the waiting list and the long queue.

i had the chance to try the place during my last visit to istanbul. we went monday nigh, the place was packed and we had to wait around 20 minutes to be seated even though we had reservation - but we arrived 30 minutes late from our reservation time. we had 3 starters to share that were very good - one of them was the beef carpaccio that they do with a twist, it was very good but i prefer the authentic italian one. as the placeisknown for the meat and meat cuts, my expectations were higher - the meatisvery good but i had better. even though the place was very busy, but the service was excellent - fast and very attentive.

lunch at nusr-et steakhouse inside the grand bazaarisdefinitely one of the highlights of my istanbul trip. we got lucky getting a table because a few minutes after being seated there was already a queue outside. the salad was fresh and perfectly seasoned, the meat was exceptionally good. you get more than what you pay for.

i have been wanting to try this place for a while now. i am glad i finally made it to istanbul and got the chance to live “ the nusr-et experience”.
make sure to book 2 to 3 weeks ahead, and prepare yourself for a long wait, but trust me it will definitely be worth it.

the wooden interior gives the place a warm vibe but what makes you feel all comfy and cozyisthe staff and service. each and every single tableisperfectly taken care of. waiters are friendly, attentive and always around. they even perform a special show while serving the food.

now for the main act. meat.
we went for the new york steak. the tender stripisheavenly cooked. the waiter slices it up on a wooden platter and its pink juiciness just stands out but the signature “salt bae” touchiswhat does the magic trick. baked potatoes and spinach purée are served on the side.
we then had the special nusret dish. thisisa must try. the special zone beef fillet comes almost raw. the waiter bathes it in boiling melted butter over a hot stone, the beef gets cooked to perfection with bread bites on the side dipped in the sauce before being served.
we also had the nusr-et burgers. to die for! you cant top that quality meat, rich taste, and amazing ingredients.
fries are refilled on the house.
and for the final act: dessert.
the cherry on top, as if this place needed one! a huge baklava tray comes right at you. the waiter opens up each slice, stuffs it with ice cream and then chops it up. you can feel the mouthwatering flavor with each and every single crunchy bite, bathing in sugar syrup.
traditional turkish teaisserved at the end to cool down.

this is, by far, one of my best dining experiences!

great place for meat lovers!! honestly not the best place to relax and enjoy the meal, its too crowded and not comfortable. but best meat ! we tried the butter fried steaks and the sushi steaks to die for !
 i had the chance to taste the famous baklawa desert and that experience was a special one. this i a very instagram friendly outlet with folks mainly turning up to take pictures with the namesake curator or the process of serving their food on the table. itisa must visit if you're a fan of meat & fancy presentations.

be ready to wait for a long period of time!
i've been to nusret around 8-9 times (basically whenever i visit istanbul).
the foodisgreat. superb goat cheese salad, lokum, lokum burger, and meat sushi. however, the fries accompanying can sometimes be cold.

it usually crowded with lots of locals and tourists. even with reservation, you will have to wait for quite some time. it might be a better idea to go during the day. eventually, it will be worth the wait.
it has a casual ambiance.
must try.

point by point review of our unfortunate dinner experience at nusret from entering to leaving:

1- reservations were not acknowledged and we had to wait like all the walk-ins. the place was obviously and carelessly overbooked by at least ten tables, on purpose maybe even to increase the hype. host did not bother giving us a waiting time and responded with “don’t know can be 5 min can be 2 hours”. thisisa recurrent issue based on reviews
2- as soon as we headed towards our table i couldn’t help but smell a bad, moist, stench. did not help with the appetite. place has no circulation andisin deep need of renovation
3- waiter came to say hi 30 minutes after sitting. he bullied us into ordering overpriced wine/champagne and a “set” of salad and meats. all of which we said no thank you because we had wanted other things, to which he made obvious he was annoyed about. advice: don’t be pushed into ordering what they want
4- tomahawk steak made it to us rare even though we ordered it medium. waiter was no where to be found for 15 min so we ended up eating it as it is. actually had to leave half of it because we’re not used to rare. waiter forgot to cut it initially as well because it was so busy
5- the so called nusr-et special finally made its way one hour after ordering.
6- three hours after entering this dump we paid the overpriced bill and left.

if you want steak, go to a steakhouse. thisisnot a steakhouse. it’s a zoo and nusr-et should be ashamed of himself for maintaining this circus

if you are a meat lover, thisisthe place to be. itismore a passion. the best steakhouse i've tasted so far. tried the one in istanbul before going to the one in dubai, but surely i will become a regular dubai branch customer.

the tenderness, the taste, the presentation, the portion, the preparation, the atmosphere, the service... everything about this placeisjust perfect.

you need to start with a salad and keep along the way as a side dish to break off the huge quantities of meat you are gonna eat.

when it comes to the meat starters, you can never go wrong. follow your preference but do not skip their sushi (must try). basically itissmall pieces of steak filled with cheese and crispy chips, just throw into your mouth and let it melt. lokumisanother amazing meat starter that you need to get. sasliisvery tasty but if you need to chose, then lokumisa winner.

as for the main dishes to share; again reinforce that itisbased on the steak cut you prefer. if you are into ribs, then you will get the best most tender 8 hours slow-cooked ribs here. if you fancy lamb chops, again you came to the right place; they present and cut in front of you.

note: leave space to their special baklava with ice-cream desert. mouth watering finish of your meal. you will definitely need a cup of tea before you manage to move off your chair.

itisan experience that you should not miss and trust me worth the wait in the queue to get a table or sharing table.

look no further - thisisthe best steakhouse in turkey. mealisof quality and the place looks nice - waiters will be constantly showcasing food(something in nitrogen foam) and offering you to try it/order it. a bit pricey but totally worth it while in turkey.

kesinlikle abartılan bir yer. valesi bile kendini bir şey sanıyor. bmw'yi falan burun kıvırarak alıyorlar. mekana rezervasyon yaptırıyorsunuz gittiğinizde yine kapıda bekletiyorlar. i̇nanılmaz kalabalık oluyor. garsonlar sipariş verirken asla yardımcı olmuyorlar. i̇şleri güçleri kendi aralarında kakara kikiri. bazı masalara şov. şımarıklar. yalandan efendimli konuşuyorlar. nusret bu kadar şımarık değil size ne oluyor yani?? yemekler arasında 20-25 dk gibi bir süre bekledikten sonra soğuk gelen etten lezzet almanız imkansız! her şey parça parça geldi, yemek geldi içki yok. i̇çki geldi yemek yok. buz istersiniz gelmez. buz gelir içki bitmiş olur. ekmek istersiniz suratınıza sanki fosfatlı gübre istemişsiniz gibi bakarlar. tam anlamıyla rezalet! bir daha üzerine para verseniz gitmem. halbuki nusrete sempati duyarım. yokluktan gelip neler başarmış derim ama sen o kadar sene uğraş didin, çalışanların bunu mahvetsin! olacak şey değil. şirketimizin,şubelerin ve yabancı ortakların katılacağı tüm iş yemeği organizasyonlarını burada yapmak istemiştik. i̇yi ki önceden gitmişim de rezaleti görmüşüm. hüsran.

i kept hearing about nusr-et prior to travelling to istanbul so i figured if all of lebanon seemed to know about it - i needed to try it.

first thing that struck me with nusr-et was just how well designed the placeiswhen compared to the theme they're going with so that earns points in and off itself. they were helpful in that they picked our luggage and stored it for us while we had our lunch before leaving turkey. their customer service was top-notch.


we shared a nusr-et burger and a lokum burger - both were really good - i personally leaned towards the nusr-et. i loved the seasoning they used witb the fries as well. if you're in istanbul it's well worth giving this place a visit for a parting meal before you head to the airport.

i can't remember the exact name for this dessert i was served, but it was a form of baklava with ice cream stuffed inside it. luckily i was only served one piece because there was no way i'd have been able to control my appetite.

thisismy second time at nusr-et and i'm as satisfied as my first time. we arrived at the restaurant, it was overcrowded, we had to wait an hour to get a table. we got the menus quickly, the waiters are used to being overwhelmed and ours helped us with our order. we ordered a ribeye appetizer, an avocado salad, the nusr-et burger and the 9hours cooked beef. you would think the order would take a bit more time due to the number pf clients, but every item came quickly. salad was fresh and crunchy with a nice dressing, the appetizer was original, i didn't expect these small pieces of meat, nonetheless it was cooked nicely and was juicy. then came the meat: the first meal was like pulled beef, it was tender and metled in our mouths. the burgerisa must, it's one of the best i've tried, juicy and cheesy. we ordered the famous dessert at the end and were offered tea, which was on the house. as an overall experience, nusr-etisa restaurant that shouldn't be missed whenever you go to istanbul!

the perfect steakhouse. you can choose between any type of steak the fatty and non fatty ones. their serviceisincredible and the prices are very cheap comparing to lebanon. i will definitely pass by if i visit istanbul again.
