i had the chance to try the place during my last visit to istanbul. we went monday nigh, the place was packed and we had to wait around 20 minutes to be seated even though we had reservation - but we arrived 30 minutes late from our reservation time. we had 3 starters to share that were very good - one of them was the beef carpaccio that they do with a twist, it was very good but i prefer the authentic italian one. as the place is knownforthe meat and meat cuts, my expectations were higher - the meat is very good but i had better. even though the place was very busy, but the service was excellent - fast and very attentive.

lunch at nusr-et steakhouse inside the grand bazaar is definitely one of the highlights of my istanbul trip. we got lucky getting a table because a few minutes after being seated there was already a queue outside. the salad was fresh and perfectly seasoned, the meat was exceptionally good. you get more than what you pay for.

i have been wanting to try this placefora while now. i am glad i finally made it to istanbul and got the chance to live “ the nusr-et experience”.
make sure to book 2 to 3 weeks ahead, and prepare yourselffora long wait, but trust me it will definitely be worth it.

the wooden interior gives the place a warm vibe but what makes you feel all comfy and cozy is the staff and service. each and every single table is perfectly taken care of. waiters are friendly, attentive and always around. they even perform a special show while serving the food.

nowforthe main act. meat.
we wentforthe new york steak. the tender strip is heavenly cooked. the waiter slices it up on a wooden platter and its pink juiciness just stands out but the signature “salt bae” touch is what does the magic trick. baked potatoes and spinach purée are served on the side.
we then had the special nusret dish. this is a must try. the special zone beef fillet comes almost raw. the waiter bathes it in boiling melted butter over a hot stone, the beef gets cooked to perfection with bread bites on the side dipped in the sauce before being served.
we also had the nusr-et burgers. to die for! you cant top that quality meat, rich taste, and amazing ingredients.
fries are refilled on the house.
andforthe final act: dessert.
the cherry on top, as if this place needed one! a huge baklava tray comes right at you. the waiter opens up each slice, stuffs it with ice cream and then chops it up. you can feel the mouthwatering flavor with each and every single crunchy bite, bathing in sugar syrup.
traditional turkish tea is served at the end to cool down.

this is, by far, one of my best dining experiences!

great placeformeat lovers!! honestly not the best place to relax and enjoy the meal, its too crowded and not comfortable. but best meat ! we tried the butter fried steaks and the sushi steaks to diefor!
 i had the chance to taste the famous baklawa desert and that experience was a special one. this i a very instagram friendly outlet with folks mainly turning up to take pictures with the namesake curator or the process of serving their food on the table. it is a must visit if you're a fan of meat & fancy presentations.

be ready to waitfora long period of time!
i've been to nusret around 8-9 times (basically whenever i visit istanbul).
the food is great. superb goat cheese salad, lokum, lokum burger, and meat sushi. however, the fries accompanying can sometimes be cold.

it usually crowded with lots of locals and tourists. even with reservation, you will have to waitforquite some time. it might be a better idea to go during the day. eventually, it will be worth the wait.
it has a casual ambiance.
must try.

point by point review of our unfortunate dinner experience at nusret from entering to leaving:

1- reservations were not acknowledged and we had to wait like all the walk-ins. the place was obviously and carelessly overbooked by at least ten tables, on purpose maybe even to increase the hype. host did not bother giving us a waiting time and responded with “don’t know can be 5 min can be 2 hours”. this is a recurrent issue based on reviews
2- as soon as we headed towards our table i couldn’t help but smell a bad, moist, stench. did not help with the appetite. place has no circulation and is in deep need of renovation
3- waiter came to say hi 30 minutes after sitting. he bullied us into ordering overpriced wine/champagne and a “set” of salad and meats. all of which we said no thank you because we had wanted other things, to which he made obvious he was annoyed about. advice: don’t be pushed into ordering what they want
4- tomahawk steak made it to us rare even though we ordered it medium. waiter was no where to be foundfor15 min so we ended up eating it as it is. actually had to leave half of it because we’re not used to rare. waiter forgot to cut it initially as well because it was so busy
5- the so called nusr-et special finally made its way one hour after ordering.
6- three hours after entering this dump we paid the overpriced bill and left.

if you want steak, go to a steakhouse. this is not a steakhouse. it’s a zoo and nusr-et should be ashamed of himselfformaintaining this circus

amazing place, amazing food, amazing experience. i visited istanbul two months ago and everyone told me i had to try nusr-et so i did and i wasn't disappointed. the steaks are the best i've ever had in my life, and the price was not badforthe quality. will definitely come here again when i next visit

i am not sure how to rank my nusret expirence in istanbul....
even with the booking we had to wait more than an hourforthe table to be ready , finally found a place at the bar and enjoyed a drink before dinner.
our waitress was exceptional, and the food was excellent.
it was a different experience from dubai, i am glad i waited lol

if you are a meat lover, this is the place to be. it is more a passion. the best steakhouse i've tasted so far. tried the one in istanbul before going to the one in dubai, but surely i will become a regular dubai branch customer.

the tenderness, the taste, the presentation, the portion, the preparation, the atmosphere, the service... everything about this place is just perfect.

you need to start with a salad and keep along the way as a side dish to break off the huge quantities of meat you are gonna eat.

when it comes to the meat starters, you can never go wrong. follow your preference but do not skip their sushi (must try). basically it is small pieces of steak filled with cheese and crispy chips, just throw into your mouth and let it melt. lokum is another amazing meat starter that you need to get. sasli is very tasty but if you need to chose, then lokum is a winner.

asforthe main dishes to share; again reinforce that it is based on the steak cut you prefer. if you are into ribs, then you will get the best most tender 8 hours slow-cooked ribs here. if you fancy lamb chops, again you came to the right place; they present and cut in front of you.

note: leave space to their special baklava with ice-cream desert. mouth watering finish of your meal. you will definitely need a cup of tea before you manage to move off your chair.

it is an experience that you should not miss and trust me worth the wait in the queue to get a table or sharing table.

i kept hearing about nusr-et prior to travelling to istanbul so i figured if all of lebanon seemed to know about it - i needed to try it.

first thing that struck me with nusr-et was just how well designed the place is when compared to the theme they're going with so that earns points in and off itself. they were helpful in that they picked our luggage and stored itforus while we had our lunch before leaving turkey. their customer service was top-notch.


we shared a nusr-et burger and a lokum burger - both were really good - i personally leaned towards the nusr-et. i loved the seasoning they used witb the fries as well. if you're in istanbul it's well worth giving this place a visitfora parting meal before you head to the airport.

i can't remember the exact nameforthis dessert i was served, but it was a form of baklava with ice cream stuffed inside it. luckily i was only served one piece because there was no way i'd have been able to control my appetite.

first time that i have ever seen a restaurant doing a waiting listforpeople that have booked a table. worst organisation ever.

be ready to wait in a crowded place where waiters are pushing clients waiting to be seated (for litterally hours) to make their way. it's a total chaos.

the food ? not even worth being mentioned.

i wanted to make it -5 because of the really bad service.
i booked a tablefor2 in a certain time went there earlier cuz i know how it’s crowded, there where around 8 groups of people standing in the door waiting there table to be ready kept walking around the restaurant to ask anyoneformy table!! there where really rude and had no experience in booking after waiting around 30 mins i discovered that there are 4 bookings in front of us so why did the askfortime when i booked.
i’ve been into crowded restaurants but never like this, the waitress kept pushing people.
i now that nusret worked so hardforthis restaurant but he need to teach his employees and waiters and give them lessons on manners and stop fooling around with an ipad that has no reservation right.

guys, we’ve not been to nusret in dubai yet and don't think we ever will - simply because of how expensive it is. but nusret in istanbul is so affordable and the quality is spot on! an absolute must visit when in istanbul. hands down the best burger we've ever eaten in our lives!!! ever!!! we didn’t know burgers could taste this good - it was the moment we both looked at each other, our eyes locked and we knew this was special. .....the best dish we had at nusret in istanbul andforonly 35 tl. definition of foodgasm.
the beef tenderloin - little slices of heaven. we also ordered the rack of lamb and jack finished all of this - yes, all!! with a little help from me (fine, i had one lamb chop!). and only 260 tl. the lamb was so tender and light that even after eating all that, jack wasn't too stuffedfordessert! and that burger ?❤️
the dessert was deliciously warm, crisp, buttery and flaky and the combination of the vanilla ice cream is brilliant!! we polished off a slice each!
and we had the perfect end to the evening because we met saltbae himself!!! such a humble man who took the time to take selfies with literally everyone in the restaurant.
i cannot recommend this place enough!

really enjoyed this place! it's not just a restaurant it's an experience!
first the service is really good although it's crowded, waiters are welcoming and helpful.
second, the food. it is actually up to our expectations, meat is really tender moist and flavorful. the only remark i would give is the side dish. they propose baked potatoes, spinach with mushrooms and fries. it's a lot. i only managed to finish the fries.
then came dessert. they have a whole showforit. it's baklava and ice cream. this one is amazingggg. we had two!!
asforthe price, it is pricey but totally worth it.

the burger over there is so unique and yummy!
onion rings as well!
it’s one of the very popular places in istanbul “a must try”
every time we visit this amazing city, we should have a stopforeither dinner or lunch
