nusr-et steakhouse

this place was on my bucket list a long time ago and finally i got the opportunity to taste it. i didnt get the chance to photograph everything cause the food was epic! the meat is delicious!!and the presentation is amazing.but the service was bad ; we ordered 3 burgers and they only got us 2 fries , we asked the staff several timesforit but they simply ignored .the baklawa and the tea are super good! its also a must order.

the moment i book a ticket to turkey , a must visit was to nusr et etiler steakhouse. we wentforthe first time without any reservation at 8, they told us that we needed to wait up to 2 hours so we left. i reservedforthe next day at 2. as we arrived our table was ready and they were quick to serve us.

place: very nice outlet in one of the most prestigious streets of etiler, istanbul. outdoor seating is very nice.

service: fast, good service yet they were a bit mean and neutral.

food :

starters :

 dana carppacio which is thin raw meat slices with parmesan cheese, rocket leaves and olive oil. if you don`t mind eating raw meat then definitely order it. if not, then skip it as a starter. (2/5)

salads :

tulum peynir salatasi : goat cheese salad with greens, pomegranate , olive oil and walnuts. i didn`t like a lot the combination of the goast cheese with the sauce they did. it was okay. if you`re not a fan of goat cheese again do not order it. it has a bitter taste. (3/5)

beef filets:

lokum: slices of thin steak filets which so tender and juicy and taste great with salt. comes with a plate of fries which are seasoned with origano but they were somehow soggy rather than crunchy and crispy. (4/5)

if you want a buttery taste , make sure to order the nusr et special where it is served with hot butter sauce straight from the pan.

burgers:

nusr et burger: a big fat meat  burger patty with cheese , smoked beef  and caramelized onions. the beef patty is tender and a bit juicy yet lacks a little of seasoning. it was good. comes also with fries. the burger is huge so you can share with someone if you are ordering other plates. (4/5)

garnish: 

mantar:  mushroom  marinated with black pepper, garlic and onion. i didn`t find it as a necessity garnish. not a major fan of mushrooms too. (2/5)

sogan cicegi: flower onion that is deep fried and comes with a tartar sauce. i am not a fan of onion rings so i regreted ordering it because it was just oily and tasteless. (1/5)

desserts: baklava with ashta icecream which is the signature dessert in turkey. is if very good yet too sweet so you could have 2 pieces maximum.

drink: turkish tea on the house

overall experience:  the waiter was somehow mean. when it came to the carpacio we told him that it was our fault that we didn`t know that it would be raw meat and that we didn`t want to eat it. he was very rude by just saying okay i will throw it away and will not take it out of the check. and we didn`t even mention anything about the bill.

i think social media is being over rated with all these food places. i do admit nusr et sells one of the most tender and juiciest meats and it tastes good. but nothing really special or wow. the food tastes good but you should know what to order depending on your references. i would find meat places in beirut that sell also this kind of meat.

prices: not very expensive yet not cheap . it is cheaper than other outlets in other countries. we ended up spending 100$ on those plates.

make sure to book online before you go. peak time is between 6-11 pm
again this is my own taste and reference. but i`m being honest because i had high expectations of this place.

if i could give this experience a 0, i would. nusret ruined my istanbul trip. i had booked a table on opentable as soon as i booked my plane ticket from dubai. i got thereformy 8.30pm table, was made to wait till 10pm. over 50 people waiting, one hostess walking around and not giving answers to anyone (or lying and saying 2 min) and a horribly disorganized system. by the time food reaches the tables, it has been coughed and sneezed on by the people waiting around. i do not recommend this to anyone. their dubai branch is more expensive but please go there instead if you get the chance and save yourself the trouble.

best steak house in the world , i was shocked of how much the meat was tasty , i ate a mealfortwo on my own. i also heard that they are opening in dubai, abu dhabi and london.
guys if you are in istanbul it is a mustforyou to try it.

traveled to turkey specifically to taste nusr-et!
we booked a day beforefor8:00 pm, got a table by around 9:15! reservations are not actually respected, it wasnt clear who came first as the host was overwhelmed by the number of people jammed in the waiting area (would say around 60-70).

good thing is the food was worth the wait! we ordered almost everything on the menu just to have a taste of everything. the meat melts in your mouth, the salad is fresh, the baklava ice cream is amazing!

the atmosphere (once you sit down) is nice, the waiters are friendly and they hand fed us (which they do sometimes as a sort of entertainment).

anything on their menu is recommended! worth every penny!

i am rating this place before even sitting on a table; just based on the reception and the customer service at the door. nusr-et was famousforbeing a fine dining steakhouse, however unfortunately the reception at the door was enough to disappoint. there is one receptionist serving more than 30 people waiting to sit down and have a joyful mean. they told us we will be waiting 30min and yet we waited more than 1h before getting a table. receptionist is shouting as people are frustratedforthe long wait and there is only one ipad managing the whole tables layouts.

this is definitely a place you need to visit when in istanbul. it has great meats from beef to lamb. nusret makes sure to cook it perfectly.
the atmosphere is nice and suitableforlunch or dinnerforbusiness, with friends or family.

been there without a prior reservation .... and it was a mistake , stayed in queuefor1h 40min .
and expect a bit of rudeness by the spg, maybe coz of client’s pressure.
food was perfect
all dishes are recommended if you are lookingforreal men meat crave .
staff ( waiters ) were kind despite wrong orders landed on our table 3 times
wine list requested from the waiter but..... never received so we had no wine.
service timing was acceptable
elegant atmosphere and relaxing interior design ambiance
prices were affordable comparing to other branches in other countries.

so i love their steaks. but i didn't get to have them. hence a 1.

there are two types of suckers who have hyped up this place. first, people from dubai who pay ridiculous premium to eat at nusr-et at four seasons and come to turkey thinking, "wow let's have the same steaksfor30% of the price!". second suckers are locals who have seen salt bae's videos throwing salt on his elbow in leonardo di caprio's company. the irony is that none of these people comeforthe food!

i booked a tablefor8pm. was in time. was told i have to wait 15 minutes. then after 20 minutes was told the wait is another 20. then at 8:45 i was told my reservation wasfor8:30 and i was early and that my wait is another 20 minutes. it felt like a kebab place outside a nightclub.

they also told me that they don't take "table reservations". what the schmuck was the reservation for? toilets?

they should change the way they work. because they really are about to become a great steaks brand. they haven't yet.

the food is absolutely insane, just delicious!
my rating went from 5.0 to 4.0 because the hosting system is awful! we had reserved 1 hour before arriving, and when we got there we still waitedfor1 hour and 45 minutes!!!! had i known this ahead of time i would’ve changed our dinner plans because this was a business dinner with a partner... the hostess kept showing me my name on her ipad and saying we’ll be seated in 10 mins, about 7 times...

nusret steakhouse etiler branch is super crowded. they do not take small group reservations. you arrive to see people and waiters shouting to reserve a table... the management should find a solutionforthis issue as the scene at the entrance does not resemble the style of the restaurant. food is honestly great.

i love the food at this place . everything is tasty . i hate only the one hour and a half we have waitedforour table despite that we have reservation . but after you eat the good food you forget this . nusret etiler is the best between all other nusret restaurants in istanbul

let me tell you something, your visit to istanbul is definitely incomplete if you don’t pass by nusr-et steakhouse!

the place is supercrowded so you need to make a reservation. the staff are very professional and work really hard to make sure everyone gets seated and the customers waiting to feel at ease with some drinks.

the decoration is very modern and the seating is comfortable, tables are large so they fit the big portions served by the place.

we ordered dana kaburga (beef ribs), fillet mignon bonfíle (fillet mignon steak), and nusret special.

the meat tasted heavenly! it was mouthwatering, and the whole meat experience was amazing! it might be the best meat we ever tasted. i highly recommend all the meals we ordered, with a special highlight on the beef ribs which was our favorite! the meat is juicy, very rich in taste ??

last but not least,fordessert we took the baklava with ice cream which was super delicious!

almost all the meat meals are served with a show which takes you to a whole another experience!

the overall experience was one of a kind, the prices are expensive, yet they really match the high expectations you put on this place and its food!

would definitely visit again and again!

bir kez daha yazıyorum şehrin en iyisi. en güzel et burada, en iyi servis burada. kötü yorum yapanları az puan verenleri anlamıyorum. hayatlarında nusret salatası kadar güzel bir salata yediler mi? ve ya nusret special kadar lezzetli bir et? fiyatlar tr standartları için biraz yuksek. ancak fişte gördüğünüz masa 3 kişilik ve tıka basa yediğimiz etin fişi. tüm menüsünü denemiş biri olarak en sevdiklerim ; 1 spagetthi 2 şaşlık 3 nusret special 4 lokum ... lokum ve special aynı bonfileden yapılıyor tek farkı special masada tereyagında pişiriliyor.


one more time, nusr-et is the best meat in the world. no one can eat that meats in anywhere with this affordablr prices. nusret salads best! pls choose firstly. then try nusret sushi.formain course, i always suggest nusret special , nusret spagetthi- saslık- and lokum. my foreigner friends. i̇f you are 3 or 4 person in the table maximum you will pay 600-700 tl is around 100 usd. per person 25 usd. you cannot drink coffee in paris with this bill. dont afraid , dont complain. yes it is very bery crowded but it is worth!! enjoy ?
