novilhos brazilian steakhouse

not sure how i feel.... went with a bunch of folks forlunchthe other day.

$25 pp s a bit pricey for lunch, but if you can eat the all you can eat, then it may be worth it.

meats were very good, properly cooked. side dishes, except for the "polenta fries" were a waste of time.

the salad bar was a bit disappointing. huge variety of things... but not very "brasileiro". most items were not very well seasoned, and not of the highest quality.

it wasn't bad... it certainly was a novelty. the staff seemed to push the drinks and desserts very heavily.

the 20% service charge for parties over six i though a bit excessive, since you essentially serve yourself 1/2 the meal.

i read some of the previous reviews of the restaurant and have to disagree. i am a regular at the restaurant and always received the best service and welcomed by everyone with nothing but a warm friendly environment. i have worked in the hospitality before so i understand coupon limitation and separate check procedures. people should always inquire about their coupons and large parties prior to the end instead of assuming one can do as they please.
as for the food, wonderful! i have been to brazil before and feel like i am back there when i come forlunchand dinner.

rude staff - don't. this is a spendy restaurant, and i heard it was pretty good. my sister and i had decided to make the special plan of coming for latelunchon sunday. the snotty waiter was put out that we didn't have a reservatoin (even though the place was half empty). strike, then he told us he would not honor an amazon voucher for lunch, which the voucher i had does not say. then after finding us a seat, asked us some snide question about tap water? strike three. we got up and left and my sister didn't get a nice lunch. word of advice: dont' use amazonlocal to advertise if you aren't going to honor the vouchers as they are printed.

great customer service. my mother-in-law is brazilian, so my family has been going to this restaurant for a few years now, and have always loved it.
on father’s day 2012, we had a frustrating experience. i had called weeks before father’s day to make a reservation and was told twice on the phone that thelunchprice for father’s day was $29/person. when we arrived with our party of 11 people on father’s day, they ended up charging us $46/person (the full dinner price because of the special meats served on father's day. the hostess i had spoken to on the phone was wrong about the price.) we were shocked because it was much more expensive than we had planned for. we spoke with the manager, and he said there was nothing he could do. i called back and spoke with the owner, and he was very understanding and apologetic for the mix-up. the marketing director of novilhos, elle, called me personally and apologized for what happened and gave me a full refund for the extra amount we were charged. i am so impressed with how novilhos handled the situation in the end. i want to especially acknowledge elle’s kindness and helpfulness. she went above and beyond to remedy what happened, and gave excellent customer service.
we will definitely be returning to novilhos in the future! :)

fathers day bummer. took the family to novilhos for lunch. made the reservations and asked how much per person. the response came back $29.. found out after the bill came that they changed to price to the full dinner rate of $50 per person. that would have been ok had they told me that on he phone and they had served the additional special meats too. finally there were far to few servers. in good brazilian stake houses meat is always coming to your table. there's no 10 minute waiting between servers. i just went there for a mid weekluncha couple of weeks ago only to again have poor service. the poor service must be a trend. this was the last straw. i won't go back

i really liked it. this was my first time at a brizallian steakhouse, and i really enjoyed it. although we had to wait about 10 min pass our reservation time, it wasn't that bad. we got a table by the kitchen, and usually i would not like that table, but in this restaurant, it's the first table out of the kitchen and you get the first choice. the salad bar is actually very good, not just your typical salad bar stuff, both cold and warm, everything was pretty good. the signature drink was very good, the rum and the citrus from the lime, cleanses your pallott a little while tasting all the different flavors of the food. as you start to see all the meat going pass and deciding what you want to eat, you can pick at random as they go pass or the best way to taste what you want is to, turn your card to "no thank you" and ask your server to have certain meats come to your table... extactly to your doneness. that way you want have to say no to chicken, if you want to try lamb first. every slice is just enough to get the full taste of the meat. the cheesy bread and fried bannas are very good...be careful not to get full. i do think it is a little pricey...$145, for 2 dinners and 2 drinks each, but i will go for the sundaylunchspecial... $27.00.each. the server was great and very attentive. the crowd is mixed, families, couples, friends,..... shotrs and sneckers, suits and ties. i saw some bad reviews and i think it should be given a second chance.
if your on a diet or feel fat easily.... don't go, because you will eat until your ready to burst.
lamb is great, beef rib is the best, prime rib is great. try a little bit of everything. this place gets 4 & 1/2 stars.
