novilhos brazilian steakhouse

excellent. recently my wife and i went to novilhos. it was our first visit to this restaurant. we were greeted by a pleasant hostess. she verified our reservation and showed us to our table. even so the dining room was almost filled to capacity our server approached our table immediately. he introduced himself briefly, placed the wine list on the table, and inquired if we preferred sparkling or iced water, a nice touch. he also explained the uniqueness of the menu and described the saladbarand the rodizio service. he then took our wine order: two glasses of white wine and a great bottle of malbec we selected from an exquisite wine list. wine service was flawless throughout the evening.

we served ourselves twice at the saladbarwhich contained over 60 items: a great selection of charcuterie, an enormous array of fresh salads, a variety of hot food, and many more delicious items. then the rodizio service begun. in short intervals gauchos came to our table and carved onto our plates top sirloin, ribeye, garlic beef, pork ribs, pork sausages, chicken legs, filet mignon, flank steak, chicken wings, chicken wrapped in bacon, lamb chops, beef ribs, leg of lamb, and a few additional meat cuts we declined. when we requested a rarer cut of meat the gaucho would return almost instantly with a lesser cooked slap of meat.

from beginning to end of our visit to novilhos we found the staff professional and courteous, the food outstanding, and the ambiance brazilian.

for my birthday this year i knew what i wanted.  i wanted to have a new foodie experience.  so my family and i went to novilhos brazilian steakhouse where they visit your table with different cuts of meat, fourteen of them to be exact.  i've always seen this and wanted to try it.  of course, after seven different meats i was full and that was with sharing with my two year old son.  when we first sat down, they served us cheese rolls.  then the saladbarbeckoned to us.  there was creamy risotto, cheeses, veggies, salad, pasta, and more.  then we turned our little coin over to the red side, letting them know we were ready for meat.  the meats were all very tender and flavorful.  i also sipped a shot of fireball whiskey that paired well with the food.  it reminded me of those red cinnamon bars we'd eat as kids.  there were also three side dishes-garlic mashed potatoes, deep fried polenta, and cinnamon fried bananas.  when we were done the waiter brought over a slice of cheesecake with a candle.  it was a fun birthday with my family!

not the best.... our group was really looking forward to trying out a brazilian steakhouse and we had heard good things about this place. the saladbarwas pretty good until i found a rubberband in my risotto, i wasn't interested in going back after that. the manager was kind enough to stop by to ask us about this and offer my meal to be comped (i thought this was nice and the right thing to do). unfortunately, he changed his mind when it came time for the bill and we were charged for my meal in the end. the food is okay if you like a questionable saladbarand lots of salty bacon flavored meat. i won't be back...

fantastic! you have to go!. we had my husband's birthday dinner here tonight. it was our first time and we loved it! in total there were 8 of us. it is done buffet style. they have a lavish salad bar, which happens to be the best "salad"bari have ever experienced, and i used to live in vegas! the "salad"barhas salmon, creamy risotto, many yummy veggies, cold cuts, just a huge assortment of fresh food. then you sit and watch the meat turn over the fire on their skewers though the observation glass into the kitchen as professional looking chefs prepare your proteins. they have 17 different proteins and you can have some of all, as much or as little as you want. prepare to spend a leisurely time there with good company. drink some wine, eat slow and eat a lot. by all means, have some of their fresh dessert and their complimentary cocktail afterwards. the evening was perfect. we so look forward to bringing more friends and coming back soon.

not sure how i feel.... went with a bunch of folks for lunch the other day.

$25 pp s a bit pricey for lunch, but if you can eat the all you can eat, then it may be worth it.

meats were very good, properly cooked. side dishes, except for the "polenta fries" were a waste of time.

the saladbarwas a bit disappointing. huge variety of things... but not very "brasileiro". most items were not very well seasoned, and not of the highest quality.

it wasn't bad... it certainly was a novelty. the staff seemed to push the drinks and desserts very heavily.

the 20% service charge for parties over six i though a bit excessive, since you essentially serve yourself 1/2 the meal.

we have been here several times and it seems like it had gone down hill. tonight was the final nail in the coffin for us. after spending $300 on dinner for our family, the last thing you want to feel is let down. the meats tonight were either completely overcooked or undercooked. there was a real wait for the meats to come around as well. the risotto at the saladbarwas far from al dente, it was crunchy. when i mentioned this to the floor manager, his response was that it should be able little crunchy.. i don't think so. there's firm and then there's undercooked and crunchy. it just after insult to injury for us. the server added his own tip even though we were only a part of 5. we won't be going back.

i really liked it. this was my first time at a brizallian steakhouse, and i really enjoyed it. although we had to wait about 10 min pass our reservation time, it wasn't that bad. we got a table by the kitchen, and usually i would not like that table, but in this restaurant, it's the first table out of the kitchen and you get the first choice. the saladbaris actually very good, not just your typical saladbarstuff, both cold and warm, everything was pretty good. the signature drink was very good, the rum and the citrus from the lime, cleanses your pallott a little while tasting all the different flavors of the food. as you start to see all the meat going pass and deciding what you want to eat, you can pick at random as they go pass or the best way to taste what you want is to, turn your card to "no thank you" and ask your server to have certain meats come to your table... extactly to your doneness. that way you want have to say no to chicken, if you want to try lamb first. every slice is just enough to get the full taste of the meat. the cheesy bread and fried bannas are very good...be careful not to get full. i do think it is a little pricey...$145, for 2 dinners and 2 drinks each, but i will go for the sunday lunch special... $27.00.each. the server was great and very attentive. the crowd is mixed, families, couples, friends,..... shotrs and sneckers, suits and ties. i saw some bad reviews and i think it should be given a second chance.
if your on a diet or feel fat easily.... don't go, because you will eat until your ready to burst.
lamb is great, beef rib is the best, prime rib is great. try a little bit of everything. this place gets 4 & 1/2 stars.

dissappointing!. after inpanema's in seattle closed i was excited to find another local rodizio restaurant. the brazilian grills i've been to in various cities were pretty comparable to fogo de chao, so i was very disappointed by the selection and toughness of the meats. please turn your flame down! the pork rib and garlic sirloin were inedible!

the servers came around with chicken wings and bottom sirloin every three minutes while i saw the filet mignon only twice. although they on the menu, i never saw the lamb chops.

the only reason novilhos gets a second star is due to the attempts of the staff to turn my obvious disappointment by seeking requests for meats. the staff was very attentive and polite. unfortunately, the meats were not worth the standard rodizio price.

overall, it's a bad sign when the saladbargets more attention than the meat selection.

great brazilian steak house. i am brazilian tourist in seattle and i went to novilhos with my husband. we were expecting to get a little taste of my culture offered in another country. i enjoyed everything in this place. the meat servers were very attentive and polite. they were very careful about how to serve us in the better way: if you need anything, they are there to serve you.our server was very friendly and attentive. the service was great. the food was very good overall. everything in the saladbartasted good and fresh and the majority of their meat offerings were delicious and excellent quality. i loved the atmosphere, music, smell, color and the taste of this restaurant.

prices, please.... this was fantastic! the ambiance is very upscale. white table cloths, nice tables, great lighting were all nice touches. the food is all you can eat brazilian barbeque of many different cuts of meat, and a saladbarfull of olives, nice cheeses, etc. my only problem with this place was the fact that there are no prices listed-anywhere! not in the waiting area, not on the menus, nowhere in the dining room.
this was our first time here, and although our waiter was very nice and explained to us how the all you can eat restaurant worked, the only thing he gave us that had prices on it was the wine list. it was very weird to order, eat, and wonder the whole time what the cost was. it ended up being about $50 per person for the food which is pretty reasonable considering it was all you can eat beef, lamb, chicken and pork, as well as salad and other sides, but it would have been nice to know from the beginning and not wonder all night...

be careful what you order!. the meat was good & plentiful, and the saladbarwas phenomenal. if the meal had stopped right there i would have been thrilled... but ... they are sneaky about what other things cost. i thought the dessert and final tiny drink were included in the buffet price because nothing was said about 'now you are going beyond the $40 buffet price'. and the drinks are poured very stingy (especially considering how expensive they are) ... the final bill was a shock needless to say.

loved it. my boyfriend and i went here on a whim for dinner and were blown away. first, they did an awesome job on the interior of the restaurant. it is beautiful and modern. no traces of the old mexican place left. the saladbarwas top notch and filled with delicious and original dishes. and it was just gorgeous! then the meat...wow. what an event. i think we tried just about each item from the menu and were not disappointed. the customer service was also great and we were made to feel very comfortable. we are already planning a return trip to celebrate a friend's birthday. i completely recommend this place. it's a bit pricey, but worth it.

we had a wonderful dinner at novilho's tonight. we were a party of nine plus two small children. the waitstaff were attentive and very helpful. the saladbarwas fresh and tasty, especially the broccoli, asparagus, and artichokes. new cuts of meat arrived every few minutes (our plates were never empty!) our server even sent a special request for rare lamb chops to the chefs and these were delicious. we had a blast and will return soon.

mediocre at best. food was okay, i have to say i make a better filet mignon at home. saladbarwas decent. waiter was sub par, claimed thatbarwas almost out of beer. huh? what kind ofbarruns out oof beer, had to go direct tobarand order beer. the bartender said that the waiter should be ignored. it felt like waiter was trying to push us to order more expensive drinks. i did order some mixed drinks and it took forever to get them, though thebardid not appear to be that busy. i expect a better experience for the amount of money this place cost.

stop! go! meat, meat, meat!!! ok, it's not just meat. the saladbaris so great. it's not the usual stuff. don't skip the salad bar. i didn't take a pic of any of the meat, there is way too much to bother. chicken, lamb, beef, beef, sausages, beef, chicken, whoa... it's all good, you just need to decide what meat you want, or you can have a bite of everything. save room for dessert.
