this was my first time at north east kitchen and it was a satisfying experience. ordered beef schezwan fried rice and friedporkwith veg. rice rice was too good with right amount of spices. each spoon longs you for more..
friedporkwas the highlight. very tender and juicy. bestporki have tasted in a long time.
the ambience was ok.. cost could have been less and i found it a bit costly..
would definitely visit again with friends.

super highlight first : they serve metal chopsticks... i was really happy to see this as soon as i got comfortable.
top to bottom manipuri influence runs the joint here, and they have a nicely spread out menu for u to check out.
tried theporkmomos first, which had quite a thick skin to it, hampering the taste of the filling.
theporkfried rice followed shortly, which was well done..
nicely cookedporkand fragrant rice made it the perfect fried rice for me!
i shall be back shortly.

i've always loved their food, even during the whole pandemic. i've ordered different items over the past few months but this is the most recent:porkfried rice & bossam. they always have lovely service and the portions are excellent. a bit pricey yes, but it's worth it.

one of the best restaurants in chennai. simple and very tasty food. if you love red meat then this is the place to visit. portions are small however the food is soulful and you would love it. i loved theirporkfried rice and chicken momos. i would definitely order from them again. the place is small so it is a better idea to do a delivery.

we ordered the below menunaga king chilly beef + sticky ricepork ribsbeef ramyun noodlesbosam (pork belly with veggies)this place should be known for its awesomeporkdelicacies at such nominal rates. they dont skimp on quantity or quality. we went as a group of three, and we generally try to get the beef/pork dishes as only chicken/mutton/prawn is only predominantly available everywhere in chennai. we came across this gem of a place which needs a lot more recognition, because they served authentic north eastern flavours coupled with brilliant service. everyporkdish will probably be awesome as the steal of the show were mostlyporkdishes (bosam[must try] and ribs). ramyun noodles was spicy and the beef was crispy, naga chilly beef with sticky rice was melt in the mouth and we also tried a octopus dish which was kind of meh. dont miss out on theporkdishes here, heavenly !! the best part was they gave us free watermelon slices at the end to clean our palate after such a heavy/fatty meal :) it doesnt have the classiest of ambiences but the courteous staff will surely attract more people, not to mention such nominal prices are a steal. i will be visiting them soon, hope you do too :)

we went there thrice in a year, they should work on the ambience, i don't need fancy but atleast be well lit and less smelly. i'm from north east, they are not the best representative of ne cuisines, but average. theporkfry is the only good item. rest average. even the thaali is not so satisfying. one time visit worthy

if you want to have authentic ne food with the focus only on flavours then search no more, this is the place.

food:
chicken thukpa – a wholesome mild-spiced noodle soup with chicken, veggies and lot more of the broth; the meat was slightly crunchy, but the real hero was the veggies. the carrots, bell peppers, cilantro was all fresh with the taste of lotus root dominating the bowl
chicken fried momo – the homemade taste was spot-on in this dish; it was very soft while the crunchiness was only in bits and pieces; it had more of meat and with the chilli dip, this is good.
special meal all curry plate definitely has to be the most exotic plate i’ve ever tried,
mixed veg sprout – fresh, full of proteins and was sour
iromba – spicy mashed potatoes with green veggies, one of a kind
green leaves – kind of half-cooked but yes, definitely flavourful
boiled mix veg – broccoli, carrot and beans; pretty bland and cold
kimchi – spicy radish pickle; was springy with all the flavours
fried crispy nuts – kind of sweet, crunchy to serve as the snack
chicken curry with sticky rice – spicy gravy with soft chicken wings; with the rice, it was definitely on a different level
(need to try their beef andporktoo)
to finish up the meal was a complimentary watermelon which helped to alleviate the spiciness.

ambience/price:
this is a decent outlet with good seating space and mall parking facility. there are no complaints about the service, but the price is of concern. not many would be happy with the quantity:price ratio (i personally felt it); can improve on the same.
