if you have a special event coming up or a date to impress, ninyo is your best bet.

you get the best deal here because you're in a fancy setting with good food yet your wallet need not suffer much. we ordered the nori pumpkin soup, scallop tempura, vongole, char-grilled prawns and hanger steak. that's a lot for two people but we wiped our plates clean in less than an hour. what i like about this place is you really get to taste all the flavors as described in their menu. my top recommendations would be the scallop tempura, vongole and hanger steak. i had to discourage my date from ordering the hanger steak because i've ordered it twice in two notable restaurants but i was left unsatisfied. the hanger steak impressed us though. you will really get your money's worth because you can tell each dish was careful prepared.

the only downside was that we had the 2nd floor of the cabana reserved at 8:30 yet we only got to occupy and start ourdinnerbefore 10 because the previous couple took their time. our server mike made up for it by offering us two fans and insect repellants when i mentioned that i was getting mosquito bites (it was raining), taking our pictures from different angles and being attentive.

insider tip: get a reservation for the cabanas with a special request of rose petals. if you want the extra privacy, request for the only second-floor gazebo. mention to the waiters if you are celebrating an event so they may offer you free dessert. they have a lock-of-love thing going on in the restaurant.

do get the chocolate! chocolate! cake. it was soooo moist 💗

we starteddinnerwith a delicious appetizer: salmon belly wasabi tempura roll (php 395). it takes a lot to impress with us with salmon, but this did the trick. it was filled with pleasant surprises with textures of all kinds! stuffed with braised gobo and carrots, the bite-size tempura rolls were a flavor bomb of soft salmon with crispy japanese burdock roots. i thought wasabi on the wrap of the roll was supposed to make it spicy, but the spiciness was not felt apparent at all. in any case, i’m a fan.

for our main course, the grilled chicken balsamic teriyaki (php 450) served with grilled japanese rice, grilled leeks with miso, tomatoes and onion was spot on. the balsamic vinegar gave the tender chicken a great depth of tang and sweetness without being too sweet, while the shiny teriyaki glaze brought a good balance of barbecue sauce and soy sauce with sweet and salty flavors. you can’t go wrong.

pasta alle vongole (php 420) was sublimely simple. it consisted of linguine pasta with manila clams sautéed in garlic and chorizo deglazed with sake. the silky noodles were coated in briny, garlicky flavor from the sauce and studded with tender morsels of the clam itself. the portion is good for sharing.

when asked what’s the most recommended dessert, the waiter suggested chocolate! chocolate! cake (php 295) and mango pavlova (php 245). we got the latter. it was a meringue dessert, crispy on the outside but light and fluffy inside, topped with vanilla ice cream and fresh mango slices.

booked ninyo’s for my dad’s birthday and so glad i found this hidden gem from a group i follow. ninyo’s is popular for romantic dates, proposals and weddings. they both have indoor and outdoor seatings which are perfect for any occasion. i love that they offer a very affordable 7 course set menu and every course is was carefully thought of. i rated it 4 stars because although i love the restaurant and the food, there are minor things for improvement and or things that one should consider if you want to book the place.

1. there are plenty of parking space but you have to come early specially fordinnerbecause once you park near the gate, you will get interrupted once the car parked in front of you leaves. (my dad had to move our car twice)

2. i was offered the gazebo but i told them that we will just occupy the indoor seating because i prefer colder venues. i know there are ventilation at the gazebo but i just want to make sure that there will be no mosquitoes. however, the indoor seating downstairs i believe has 7 tables only (usually for 2 pax), it was very near the door and the open kitchen. that night, there were a lot of people inquiring so there were noise coming from the kitchen, people inquiring, wait staff in and out of the door to serve those outside. if you prefer a more intimate space where you can talk, or a more quieter area, i think it is better to book the gazebo. i hope they will have a space separate from the dining tables for those walk in inquiries.

3. there was a bit of stain on the table cloth where i was seated. i hope they will always check the small details

4. the set menu was great. i would suggest that maybe they can offer also a non alcoholic drink for those who prefer not to drink wine (set menu comes with a choice of either red or white wine)

other than that, we had a great evening. thank you for making my dad’s birthday truly a memorable one. would love to be back and try the other set menu.

we had our anniversarydinnerhere and i can say with full confidence that the food along with the service is great.

the ninyo classics 7-course meal is nothing short of amazing. the various courses complemented each other but i think the highlight would be the honey glazed grilled salmon (never thought that wasabi and mashed potatoes could go so well together!)

our waiter even asked us about our occasion and prepared a plate containing the words "happy anniversary" near the end of our meal to our surprise and delight.

as for the price-to-food-quality ratio, it strikes a compelling balance which in my opinion catapults it to one of the best restaurants here in metro manila- and that's saying something.

had an amazingdinnerlast night! been always wanting to try this place because the gazebo area is beautiful, and perfect for dates. booked the gazebo for the 8:30pm schedule. we arrived 30 minutes late because of the manila traffic but i'm so glad they accommodated us, still.

though it rained last night, me and my date enjoyed the 7-course ninyo classics. (see updated menu in photo) at first, i thought we wouldn't be so full, because usually fine dining restaurants have small servings but boy, was i wrong. not to mention, our total bill was only p3300+ significantly cheaper than other fine dining restaurants i've dined, but for the same quality and experience. one of the best fine dining and romantic restaurants we've tried. they have a unique fusion selection of dishes. and because it's so gooood, i'm going to review them one by one.

we started off with their wasabi fried oysters, and it's easily one of the best bites i've ever had. the batter did not overpower the freshness of the oysters, and being that i love wasabi, i really appreciated how it was made here.

next, we had the pumpkin soup, and i love how it tasted like cheese, with the fried pumpkin inside. yum!
the shimeji salad was really good too. i loved the crispy tofu and the mushrooms! being a lover of mushrooms, this one hits the spot too.

for the mains, we had us hanging tender steak and honey miso salmon in one plate. i love how the sides really complement the entree. the salmon tasted like normal salmon, but with the miso sauce, vegetables, and wasabi mash, that one bite became one of the most interesting dishes i had of the year. the steak was really tender too.

for dessert, we had the mango pavlova and chocolate cake, which were really sweet endings, and a good pairing to our red wine.

personally, i would go back for those oysters and other entrees. the overall experience with the service, and everything else gains my 5-stars. it was worth the 2-hour drive. 💖

my boyfriend and i came here for our second anniversary and we definitely made the right choice.

first off, the waiters were all very nice and attentive - they’d even suggest that we take some couple photos, direct which angles would work best with the background, etc etc. our photos that night were all great! haha.

second, they offer seven course meals. i think there were three options? even a vegetarian one. while i didn’t personally like some of the dishes (hence the 4 stars) i guess the advantage of getting set menus is that you don’t have to spend so much time deciding on what to drink or eat. you’ll just pick one and spend the rest of yourdinnerdate talking with your s/o while waiting for the food to be served.

overall, it’s a very lovely place. would definitely recommend this place to my friends as well.

as much as i love eating good food, i hesitate dining in super fancy places especially when i have to splurge… a lot. but i get to score great deals from sites like deal grocer and cash cash pinoy at times. a few months back, i did with a 47% off deal for a romanticdinnerfor two in ninyo. i bought it in an instant as i wanted to go somewhere romantic with r.

hello, ninyo fusion cuisine and wine lounge!

it was a rainy day when we decided to visit ninyo. i had a private gazebo reserved (for an extra romantic vibe) and i got worried that the rain will ruin ourdinnerbut i was surprised with the fantastic service of the staff. the servers approached us with umbrellas and made sure that we are dry and comfortable.

the set-up was perfect. there were rose petals everywhere.

my boyfriend surprised me with adinneri can barely stop smiling about before heading back to dubai and thanks to this place for making my last night in the philippines such a memorable one. food, though i wasn’t able to enjoy so much due to allergies, was great according to my man. place and ambiance, perfect for a date night— it demands romance. people, super nice and one even had to be extra creative to get us “the shot”. our fave— the wine, oh so good, the taste lingered.

had a very memorabledinnerwith my love. ❤️
the rain was terribly bad that night i think we were just 3 couples back then and even if the gazebos were very affected by the rain already, they were still initiating to take photo from time to time.

the steak and prawn from the paris menu were so good.
can't believe i just ate here recently even if the resto has been existing for more than a decade already.will definitely come back for more.

i super love the setup as well. very good concept!❤️
