wanted to try something different for our anniversary and this place did not disappoint. most of the zomato reviews got it right, dark and intimate but also loud and busy!

had to shave a few points off for the dirty silverware and menu, but this was addresses the right way and was worth the free bottle ofwineand dessert! food was amazing, nothing we tried was disappointing and the price tag was not near as bad as we were expecting. we will def, be back before next year!

i've been twice to nick & sam's and both times i was seated in the same exact table! i have no idea how that can happen because there are over 100 seats. anyway, this is a dining experience to die for if you love steakhouses. the artwork is beautiful. a piano player was playing while the kitchen cooks behind him. the waiters are so well-trained and friendly. the bar is very chic! food was excellent. i had lemon sole and broccoli with a caesar salad. all to die for!wineand drinks perfect!

fantastic meal and overall dining experience here. started with friendly greeting at the door, promptly seated at our reserved time and in requested booth, service was impeccable throughout the evening! we split a caesar salad, wonderful, our entrees; sea bass - was prepared perfectly and filet - tender and tasty. side of brussel sprouts also delicious. extensivewinelist allowed us to find a favorite to savor while we had a memorable meal! thank you nick and sam's staff for a great job!

unbelievably bad. omg! so disappointed! my wife and i usually go to pappa bro's or bob's chophouse both of which are excellent. thought we would give nick and sam's a try for something new. our 9:00 reservation was late, place was packed but we have no idea as to why. even thought the wait staff were friendly service was very slow and the dining room was loud. mussel appetizer was disgusting smelled and tasted like horse manure! seriously not fresh sent it back immediately. tried the shrimp cocktail as a replacement and it was extremely salty. it was not the cocktail sauce but the plain shrimp was way too salty, how can that happen?
i thought the entree's would make up for the poor appetizers but not even close. both steaks bone in fillet and new york strip had very little flavor but were cooked correctly. same with grilled asparagus it tasted like it was boiled and they painted on the grill marks. the mushrooms were not bad but also a little salty.
the waiter said he was sorry for the mussels (which was the only one of the five bad dished we were served that we complained). he said the chef tasted them and agreed they were horrible and the cooking staff got in trouble for letting them go out of the kitchen. he said he took the first two cocktails off our bill. however after getting the bill he did not remove the cocktails and we had asked for them to be removed. with tip $368 at least the bottle ofwinewas good. i travel all over the us for work and eat out a lot. i can't even fathom how food this bad could cost so much!

excellent food, service and atmosphere. like any good dallasite, i have made my way around the deluge of dfw steakhouses. after dining at nick and sam's, i can easily say that this is my new favorite. it will be hard to topple.

of all the dining rooms i've experienced in dfw, this ranks highest for me. i loved the big, open room. it was noisy, but not so much that it was distracting from the conversation at our table.

the service was exceptional. we might not be the "regular" dallas big wigs, but we were treated with wonderful care and respect. they accommodated a nursing mother in our party with delight - much to my surprise, honestly.

the food was outstanding. i had the kansas city baseball cut special filet. the wealth of flavor and tenderness of this steak floored me. the creamed corn was some of the best i've tasted, and thewinemenu is impeccable.

towards the end of the meal, we all received complementary rounds of port to finish off a wonderful night celebrating my good friend's birthday.

i would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a very top-notch dining experience!

the steak was almost not okay. i dined in with a reservation for four at 7:30 pm on a saturday.

we had the muscles and the salad for an appetizer and steaks for dinner. the salad was okay and the muscles were fairly good. bread was especially good. awesomewineselection.

the steak i had was their prime bone in 16 oz filet, medium. the steak was cooked unevenly. it was perfect up until the portions near the bone where i was expecting an even more tender and flavorful bite of meat. instead, the meat was raw and a little cold. i could tell the chef tried to sear this portion but it didn't cook at all.

for desert, we had a half portion of carrot cake which was excellent and the chocolate lava cake, which was okay. next time i'll just go for the cakes.

atmosphere was very up beat and the staff were very attentive despite the full house that night. my only complaint about the dining experience, aside from the uncooked steak, was the spacing between tables. i must have elbowed, kneed, and bumped into waiters and patrons near me a dozen times.. while sitting at the table. i'm only 5' 10" 165 lb - not a big guy by any stretch of the imagination.

overall, the experience was good. its just i would probably choose to dine on a less busy night and order the sirloin instead.

my fav. in dallas. spent nye at nick and sam's. they were very accomadating when it came to the reservation.

we arrived a few minutes before out reservation and were told they were running behind, to be expected on nye.

the bar area was very crowded but still had good service.
upon being seated the waiter was great! it is a very busy atmosphere and not to romantic, but still great.

out of the 4 of us, we had a variety of their best foods. on the negative side, the bone in fillet was disapointing to saw the least. yet, the strip was amazing. the sides were far and away the best part of the meal. the mac and cheese and mushrooms were amazing.

thewinelist is impressive! i think it took us 10 minutes just to look through it. impressed.

overall, for the price i would say it is a little much but still a worth while place to go.

averaged about $75 a person with drinks.

true discovery. i've eaten here a few times & nick & sams is one place that has to be experienced to understand. it is a true dallas steakhouse. we try to go a little ahead of our reservation, so we can sit at the bar for a while and people watch and start studying thewinelist. people dress for dinner here usually, and i really like that. it is a custom that is slowly dying, and i think thats a shame. once seated, i start with the foie gras, which is bolder in flavor than most places. the only foie gras i've had that i enjoyed more is in new orleans (at besh's) . my wife loves the crab-cakes. i then order the long bone cowboy rib eye. honestly - cooked to perfection. i could almost cut it with my fork and the seasoning is dynamic and bold, which makes you want to eat every bite. my wifes ahi tuna was amazing with a wasabi crust. but the thing that has endeared me most to nick & sams is thewinelist & the sommelier. n & s loves & understands wine, and this alone is worth coming here. thierwinelist has over 400 offerings. the have over 30 by-the-glass offerings each night!! it is here that the sommelier introduced me to my absolute favoritewine- zd cabernet sauvignon. an amazing, amazing, amazing wine. they have an event called the ultimate experience (which i have yet to try) but it is an in-house experience centered around their wines. who does that? fabulous. the atmosphere is always elegant and warm, making this a very comfortable and easy place to go. the service is some of the best in the city, with the waiters knowing the menus and taking the time to understand your tastes. parking is valet. whenever i go, i go with the adventurers sense of discovery, and that makes it a fun night every time.

the food was petty good but not for the money. service was average at best. the waiter tried a pushy sales pitch on a bottle ofwinewith the wrong info. i have been to the winery and met the winemaker of that particular bottle and he was basically making everything up.
