newport pizza company

used to love it. maybe i'm just having that kind of week or something, but when i am ready to plop down thirty bucks on pizza i've loved, and ordered-and had delivered to my address-only to be told that they are too busy to deliver there (and by the way, the demarcation point dude cited is a block past me, but whatever), i get a little p**sed off. the chow is pretty good; theservicesucks it big time. they'll not see another dime outtta me.

love. this. pizza. i have had a difficult time eating pizza from anywhere else since discovering this little gem a couple of years ago. i have not tried one of their pies that i didn't like. the building is warm and inviting, theserviceis great, and the pizza speaks for itself.

awesome. well worth the drive down to newport. stopped by here tonight, really enjoyed the pizza, best we've had since moving to the area.servicewas fantastic!!!

we enjoyed "the zeus" and the "lasagna meatball", both were delicious.

good pizza with unique toppings. i like the place. it's not in my top 3 but it's in my top 5 around the tri-state. their margherita pizza is very good, and their hoagies are good, but some of the special pizzas are where it is at. some are better than others. the lasagna pizza was a bit disappointing for what we were expecting, but it was still good. i love that they have so many available toppings, such as goetta (the only place other than trotta's that i know serves goetta on pizza), and potatoes. i was hoping they would have some kind of specialty pizza to showcase the potato topping, but unfortunately they didn't have one. i'm hoping someday they will.serviceis always good and the atmosphere is comfortable. it's a good place to go with friends and enjoy the company before heading off to your next destination.

solid pizza and beer. the crust is thin and crispy with just the right amount of char on the bottom. we tried the zeus, which has fresh tomatoes, spinach and asiago cheese. i thought it could use a little more sauce, but all in all it was very good.

the beer selection is quite good -- heavy on the microbrews.

the dessert we tried (chocolate chip cookies run through the pizza oven) were good and chewy but were a little heavy on the flour.

the place is nice and clean.servicewas attentive and friendly. we'll be back to try some other varieties.
