newport pizza company

i also have to go against the trend, and say that i was disappointed in newport pizza. although i enjoyed the unique location and the friendly service, i stopped by for two slices of pepperoni pizza (to go), and found the pizza lacking.crustwas overcooked, grease dripping from the pizza to the plate, and little to no cheese and sauce. i would be willing to try more of the menu on future visits (if i am in the area).

first time trying newport pizza and will return. we got the flying pig and it's a good thincrustpizza (a lil greasy) and good service.

it's a small place so, i could see there being a decent wait during peak hours.

mediocre. got a carry-out salad and pizza. i liked the actual physical restaurant. looked like a good place to hang out, watch a game, and drink a beer. but the pizza was lacking. thecrustunder the actual pie was almost nonexistent except for being floppy and soggy.crustaround the edge was bland, dry, and there was just too much of it.crust= wasted potential pizza. i saw this issue in photos before ordering, so i got a side of sauce to dip. the sauce could have been good, but it was sooo diluted, almost like they mixed it with water - it barely coated the dipped crust. on the pizza i couldn't even tell the sauce was there. the cheese wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good either.
however, our pizza had a lot of toppings and the salad was fantastic.
if you are into the thincrustpizza trend that is unfortunately gripping our society, then this place may be for you, but not suited to my pizza tastes.

love the food!. i had my food delivered. please find a better way to deliver your french fries. the bag was so wet, i pulled it out and the fries fell thru the bag on the floor! ordered the zeus pizza, great but i want my toppings all the way on my pizza! everything was centered in the middle. had to get ranch dressing to dip the left overcrustin! wanted a full topping pizza! the food was totally great! just some tweetking! tks! will be back!

didn't care for it. nice storefront, friendly service, pizza came out quickly... but it just wasn't very good. everything was there for this to be a success except for the pizza. while i consider everything when judging a place, the pizza was really disappointing.
i got the meatball lasagna pizza. thecrustsort of reminded me of domino's, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the meatballs were terrible. most of them were burnt and dry. also, there was a rather severe lack of sauce on the pizza, which always irks me. and the price for what i got was rather disproportionate.
i'm going to have to go against the grain here and say that i didn't really like newport pizza company and would not recommend to others.

some of the better pizza in town. after hearing a few great things about this place, i decided to try it over the weekend. overall i was quite impressed. the restaurant has the look and feel of a corner bar, with a large bar across the back and a handful of booths adorning the walls.

the highlight of the visit was the food. we ordered the fried mozzarella and a pizza (half pepperoni, half meatball lasagna). the fried mozzarella was amazing, hand cut into nice-sized chunks, lightly breaded and deep fried. the cheese was nice and gooey and the breading was perfect, light and airy.

the pizza was quite nice as well. it was a bit more greasy than other places, which caused the pies to fall apart just a bit. however, the flavors were quite nice. i was a fan of the meatball lasagna pizza. and thecrustis some of the most flavorful i've tasted. i'm sure i will be back.

solid pizza and beer. thecrustis thin and crispy with just the right amount of char on the bottom. we tried the zeus, which has fresh tomatoes, spinach and asiago cheese. i thought it could use a little more sauce, but all in all it was very good.

the beer selection is quite good -- heavy on the microbrews.

the dessert we tried (chocolate chip cookies run through the pizza oven) were good and chewy but were a little heavy on the flour.

the place is nice and clean. service was attentive and friendly. we'll be back to try some other varieties.

nice food, nice service. took family of 5 there for an early dinner. was seated right away and the waitress was very prompt and courteous. we ordered the pepperoni and monmouth pizzas and the meatball sub. the pizzacrustis great , has the nice snap when you bite into to it and the edge is perfect combo of soft and chewy. toppings were abundant on both pizzas and the meatball hoagie was hot and tasty. very good bargin for a family dineer.
