nakli dhaba - mayfair lagoon

mayfair being our favorite destination in bhubaneswar, we decided to visit there last evening for dinner with family.... we always admire the management for creating such a beautiful atmosphere coupled with consistent food quality & taste.

however, our last visit was far below our expectations... we ordered for mutton dum biryani and it took 45 minutes to deliver the food ! this too after several follow ups ! at last happy to have our favorite dish on our table, to our surprise we found the biryani was cold and later realised that it was not dum, but pan fried !!!! at least it tasted so.... raita was unbearably sour ! the steward was courteous enough to offer an exchange, but unfortunately the replacement was too sour this time !!!

you let us downmayfair! whooping charge of rs.595+taxes is definitely not worth it.......

thanks to my sister who planned my anniversary evening and executed the plan so successfully and thanks to themayfairstaff who did so well in arranging everything. the private dining experience was bful and the love music added to one of the best dining experiences. as it was a buffet from the ala carte menu i was very much satisfied with the taste of the food 🤩🤩🤩 it was a special night and i am really glad i got to spend it here. thanks a lot!!!!

we ordered mutton biryani, methi murg, tandoori jalpari, tawa prawns and chapati... all of the recipes were mind blowing. chapatis were not upto the mark. agreed, no one can beatmayfairin taste. though it's a bit costly yet satisfactory!!!

very bad quality and personally o told my. friends don't visitmayfairfor dinner or lunch.

year after year, nakli dhaba continues to reinforce it's supremacy with unmatched taste. every dish different from the other, even the plain rotis & parathas will have you licking your lips. the big repeats for me are the bhuna jhinga masala, tandoori pomfret, mushroom dopyaza, veg/mutton biryani and baked rasgulla. each one of these makes you go aha - it's great every single time. i trustmayfairwhen i just can't afford to go wrong at delighting with food.

we visited for dining post lockdown taking all possible measures. the prices have gone up but the quality was not that great. food were not fresh, i am a teapot and lemon grassmayfairfan but this time nakli dhaba disappointed me.

just wow and awesome. food, service, ambiance, overall dining experience. all the parameters on which a particular restaurant can be judged and marked are superbly and terrifically scored by nakli dhaba atmayfairlagoon, at jaydev vihar, bhubaneswar. 

interiors and decor is so well made, that the moment you set afoot in the nakli dhabamayfairlagoon, at jaydev vihar, bhubaneswar you will just fall in love with it. go give it a try, and trust me.. because it is a foodie's promise. you will not be disappointed. 

i will wrap up review of nakli dhaba, at jaydev vihar, bhubaneswar, odisha at 5.0/5. anything less than 5.0 will be injustice and insult to the food, service, ambiance, overall dining experience

this place is a must visit if you are in bhubaneshwar! the food here is amazing. the ambience is well setup with punjabi feel of dhaba and bollywood.. they have family restaurant space as well as isolated door locked ac dine tables separately. the live music is definitely a winner for entertainment..
it was my first time in bhubaneshwar and i explored this place through hotel booking recommendations and i discovered that it has several restaurants within, this being gone of them. i couldn't get the booking for staying atmayfairhowever we were certain that we would try atleast one of the restaurants. lucky to have tried this nakli dhaba having asli maza!
the staff is very polite, courteous and you will feel satisfied for sure.
a big thank you to team mayfair!! i strongly recommend this place to the ones who love punjabi food - veg/non veg both!

if you are looking for north indian foods, this is the place to be. located in the outer area ofmayfairlagoon.

we were a group of 8 people. so we came here with a prior reservation. otherwise it's very difficult to get a table on weekends. food was super awesome. we started with tomato djania shorba, which has a distinct flavour and in starter we ordered 5 starters. tandoori prawns were juicy and perfectly made in clay oven. we also ordered mushroom kebab, kali mirch ka paneer tikka, tangri kebab. all were superb in taste. vinegar onions are perfect accompaniment with starters. in main course we ordered chicken biryani, pulao, kadhai paneer and chicken tikka masala.

a full meal is incomplete without a dessert. we ordered baked gur rasgulla and kulfi with falooda. baked rasgullas were something extra ordinary and you will only get this here.

staffs are very polite and courteous. ambience is kind of dhaba themed. they have separate cabins in courtyard area. there you can enjoy your food with live ghazal.

as the name screams itself, it's a dhaba style restaurant by the premium chain ofmayfairhotels. the interior is nicely decorated and the private cabins in there would perfectly suit your family dinners. the desi dishes are definitely worth giving a try. i tried tawa prawn, mati handi mutton and both were good with the soft naan to accompany it. masala vodka here is amazing in case you are up for a drink! ;)

we went over a weekend during evening wid relatives for a dining experience. place is within the compound ofmayfairlagoon, jaydev vihar.

the dhabba look & feel made us feel a lot good.
we ordered corn fennels & hara bhara kebabs as starters. as a main dish, veg biryani, dal balti, mix veg navaratan curry & 2 tandoori roti.

taste was upto the mark but it's bit pricey & might pinch your pocket. but the live song by 2 artists made the ambience complete.it had a mix of old melodies & 90s song.

the staff were courteous & polite in behaviour.
if the price can't be brought down atleast the quantity can be increased.

it can be a gud experience, if you are visiting in a group.

disappointing .. again and again..mayfaircontinues its cycle of disappointment.. order chivas regal and guess what, u get lays as chakna.. i mean who the hell serves that??? i guarantee u can get better chakna at a roadside stall.. ordered lobster.. though the presentation was great but undercooked.. i just don’t get it why they do this all the time... time to gear up mayfair..

stripped off 2 stars not because they serve 'just good' food, but because the entire package doesn't live up to themayfairhype, standards and expectations. portions are less and service time is not what one would expect. p.s - the ambience is impressive though!

today it was my 1st visit for lunch. at night it's a more happening place.
ambiance n decor very nice. after allmayfairit is.

coming to food it's fantastic as usual.
we ordered tawa bhetki for starter. it took 40mins to arrive that's why i have deducted. 5. but it was so nicely cooked just amazing. soup was ok lasoni chicken soup. nt much of choices for soup. in main course we had romali roti and kasoori methi chkn .don't try romali roti there but chkn was yum😀.

well, a visit tomayfairis not just about the food, it is the overall experience that matters!! so, i spent an amazing day at nakli dhaba, and i must say it is gorgeous. the movie posters and the old melodies give it a whole different feel. i had mutton shorba, missi roti and mushroom do pyaza. the taste was good, nothing out of the ordinary. but, i would love to visit that place over and over again, just for the royal experience😍
