nakli dhaba - mayfair lagoon

my all time favourite place in bhubaneshwar.greatfine dining experience and exquisite ambience with mouthwatering dishes on menu (mostly indian). i loved the starter i.e prawn kudkudi, in main course we had balti mutton (very homely) chicken tikka lababdar and butter naan. lastly for deserts we had kulfi with faluda.

great service , ambience is ok ok. food isgreatbut not worth the price. we ordered corn soup which was the only one which was not so good , else starter main course were nicely prepared.

i ordered murg makhani and tawa prawns from nakli dhaba . the zomato delivery person didnot pick it up . however mr. malaya padhee and his team saved the day by delivering it via his colleague. courteous staff,greatdelivery, delicious food. highly recommended.

mr. malaya was very helpful in assisting us to book a table and was around throughout our lunch. we appreciate his and the staff behaviour, for which we had agreattime in celebrating our anniversary with family. had agreattime and the food was also lip smacking. would recommend to people who want to experience a luxurious dining experience in bhubaneswar.

food was not thatgreatthe way i expected. i personally liked swosti biriyani more yet it was good.

year after year, nakli dhaba continues to reinforce it's supremacy with unmatched taste. every dish different from the other, even the plain rotis & parathas will have you licking your lips. the big repeats for me are the bhuna jhinga masala, tandoori pomfret, mushroom dopyaza, veg/mutton biryani and baked rasgulla. each one of these makes you go aha - it'sgreatevery single time. i trust mayfair when i just can't afford to go wrong at delighting with food.

in relationship with biriyani had made me explore more and more throughout the city.

service- being "famous" must have a feel of "reason" in it's background otherwise it has nothing to showoff. i alway look forward to that reason when comes to had a brunch at such famous high end places. this is ofcourse one of the famous high-end resort of odisha. it has many outlets for different kind of foods and bakery. today i preferred to share u their multi cuisine authentic indian outlet. here i have opted to try their choice of dishes which they are famous for. and guess what i feel extremely happy to had suchgreatquality and quality dishes to try out. biriyani itself had all it's pleasure with all the ingredients which we can found in very close to kolkata style biriyani. all the spices are coming out very elegantly. mutton is fresh and well cooked and the quantity served is more than enough for two people. same goes for the #tandoorimurg the consistency and the flavour of spices well mixed wid chicken just makes me mouthwatering by look only. further u can assume the taste of blend wid soft buttery nan. just clean bold.

nice ambience.greatfood. each and every item was so delicious. the paneer was so good and soft. loved the chicken starters. afghani chicken was too good. had the best butter garlic naan and cookie milkshake here. the aroma was heavenly. just one complaint that they didn't have good options for lassi. agreatplace with family.

celebrated my wife’s birthday dinner here, food was sumptuous, private and intimate dining space option was a plus, live music singers were too good and also took requests, even though private room dining the waiters and servers were right when you need them, and the managers were ofgreathelp in organising my small little surprise.... thank you all so very much for making our evening so special and a special thanks for the complimentary birthday cake!!! 😊☺️👌

2. good, efficient and courteous staff. they get you what you ask for exactly.
3. good ambience. the live singers would be better if turned down a notch.

indeed nakli, the walkway to the restaurant from the reception is atrocious passing through service lanes. at the first instance it’s like wtf??

the 3*s is only for the food which wasgreatand the welcome drink which is agreatcooler specially for people like me who just landed at bhubaneshwar driving down 400kms from kolkata.

service is just not like the hype the hotel carries with it. haven’t got a chance to interact with the others but the waiters can’t speak english or for that matter hindi properly. realised that the people who came into dine in were also the residents of the city and they spoke in the local language with the waiters. the staff are too loud with the cabinets and cutlery. really unprofessional!!

this one is for the hotel - “ except for the fragrance and silence at the reception “; this place is not worth it, worth the price tag of the rooms (haven’t seen so no view on the quality of the rooms) and the following that it carries. sorry to say but am amused how it’s rated so high and perceived luxurious by tourists.

i have no words to describe the awesome food andgreathospitality here. i love this place very much. all should visit this place once in a month with their family and friends.

one of the best north indian food in a dhaba themed fine dining place. located in the prime location of bhubaneswar inside a 5 star hotel.

food was super awesome. we started with paya da shorba, which has a distinct flavour and in starter we had rozali kebab and tandoori prawns. prawns were juicy and perfectly made in clay oven. vinegar onions are perfect accompaniment with starters. in main course we ordered kashmiri naan, garlic butter naan and chicken tikka masala. the best ever tikka masala i had.

a full meal is incomplete without a dessert. we ordered baked gur rasgulla and kulfi with falooda. baked rasgullas were something extra ordinary. spongy rasgullas soaked in jaggery and milk mixture and oven baked. their kulfi was home made and we really had agreattime.

staffs are very polite and courteous. ambience is kind of dhaba themed. hens are grazing, a petrol pump, half truck, milestone and traffic signal, national highway which makes this place a dhaba theme. they have every day live ghazal programme which is a best combination with your food. i will recommend this place is a must try.
