mug-n-bun is an old-fashioned drive-in open since 1960. unlike other drive-ins that feature a menu board with a call box, here, one turns the headlights on, and a server comes over. everybody must be regulars, because the menu is only posted on one side of the building, and the waitress didn't carry a copy. as most reviewers have noted, pretty much everything is frozen or fried and not memorable. condiments like lettuce and tomato are 40 cents extra, apiece, and must be specified when ordering.frieswere crinkle cut and bland, while onion rings were decent, but had a batter a little thicker than i like. root beer, available in regular and diet, was quite tasty, but not enough to bring me back except to pick up the occasional quart. pizza is also available in a separate building on the lot, and features a different phone number.
