that is the email i reviewed from marta at m's pub confirming our reservation to celebrate my brides 50th birthday.
imagine our surprise when we showed up at 6:15 tonight, dressed up to locked doors and chairs on the tables.
what gross incompetence. what an embarrassment to have staff who don't even know what days you are open.
your response is "i'm sorry, this is why i don't like email reservations."
you. took. the. reservation. via. email.
this is not my fault.
it is not my fault that we had to wait 45 minutes at upstream for a table. it's not my fault that my bride sat at her booth with tears in her eyes.
it is yours.
your offer of "come back and i'll buy you a meal." is empty. why would i ever trust you again? there are too many opportunities for goodfoodout there to waste it with incompetence and empty platitudes.
i hope that someday someone marta loves deeply has a special moment ruined for them and she feels this helpless.
we are not powerful people by any means; but we do
have many connections and will let executives at us bank, sanford children's hospital, avera cancer institute, the many bands we know crew for playing at the slowdown, wrestlers coming in for wwe shows and any talent coming in for o' con to avoid m's like the plague.
it's not going to hurt them. they will still turn over the dining room multiple times and have 90 minute waits when they are open, but it will do our hearts good to know that people in our circle won't be supporting incompetence.

the lamb burger is as good as previously reported; give it a try, you wont be sorry.foodservice was rushed: “sorry, they’re not very busy so it’s all coming out at once.” the “warm pecan pie,” was the worst i’ve ever had; basically a small commercial pie shell, into which they put 2-3 tablespoons of pie filling, and then hid it under two big scoops of vanilla ice cream. total disappointment.

one of omaha's best. delightful, charming place. thefoodis very good (hamburger, lamburger, lavosh, cucumber sandwiches :) ). great place for family get togethers. it is a restaurant i recommend to out of towners for a great meal, a fun atmosphere and and a historic omaha location. m's was one of the original old market tenants...it"s longevity speaks to the quality.

loved it. there was a gluten free menu, our waitress was very helpful, and thefoodwas quite tasty. i ordered the lamb, which came on a bed of greens. i also had the curry soup, which was also delicious. highly recommend.

we really liked this hole on the wall in old market district. creighton/providence bb game was on and there wasn't a parking spot to be had. sat at bar because we had (no reservation) to but loved it. loved the service andfoodand taps good, too. had lavosh (like pizza) and i had their warm duck salad.

both of our mains were delicious, and we left incredibly full, with no complaints about the meal. m’s pub is perfect for a special meal or classic old market date, with a bustling ambiance andfoodthat lives up to its long-standing reputation. if you’re an omahan who has yet to go to m’s pub- get on it!

we come to about omaha once a year and m's pub has become a favorite spot of ours. the ambiance, staff, menu andfoodquality are fantastic! this last trip, we actually decided to eat there twice--delicious!

best in the old market. i love this place! i make it a point to try something new whenever i come in. coming here with big groups can be difficult, but worth it! the atmosphere is amazing, the service is wonderful, and thefoodhas never failed to impress!

excellence..... this place is great. they have a very ecclectic menu, and thefoodnever disappoints. their lavash is legendary. salad dressings are excellent. sausages delicious.

very cool place to grab a bit downtown. seating is amble but not overly abundant, so make a reservation if you can. there is also a nice little outdoor seating area. i recommend the satay dishes, but the sandwiches and entrees have been good as well.foodis moderately priced, but drinks and wine can really inflate the bill. definitely worth eating there.

best of the old market. i recommend this place to everyone that is coming to town. on the weekend or at lunch, this place can take awhile to get a table as it is fairly small and usually busy. theirfoodis delicious. they have several interesting items on the menu such as the carrot dog, but overall there is something for everyone. the waitstaff and bartenders are generally very knowledgable and attentive. try the lavosh (especially the thai). it is far and away my favorite item on the menu. good value for the price as well.
