sri om pandey at the restaurant gave us a very good service .. good the mahi fish laksa was awesome

excellent ambience and food tasting provided by quick service and pleasant support staff.
kudos to the team! will definitely drop by again to try their other offerings.

we went for dinner buffet which cost around 1400 per person.
if you ask to repeat some starter they give a weird look and the person who is wearing a coat is so rude with the service and the food arrived so late.one good thing about the restaurant was the desert were good.

the two tiny pieces of fish have been sitting in the hotel freezer for many days before being fried today. 2. where is the promised beetroot salad? lousy experience. for half the price i would have got better vanjiram fry from any ecr restaurant nearby. mkc is a total waste.

the restaurant has a wonderful ambience and service. the menu was quite limited and did not have separate starter, main course split. the food was average. i expected more since the ratings were great.

starters - chicken bao and chicken dumpling were average. dips given did not go well with the starters.

prawn toast was better but a similar dip like kara chutney was given which was bad.

mains - mahi mahi fish in laksa sauce and sticky rice - fish was good and the sauce was a bit sweet.

very limited options in starters for chicken and seafood - could be expanded more and seating could be improved for a couple as the table is too small to keep even 2 plates and glass of water. we had to keep half the utensils and silverware on the floor to eat properly.

we are on a 4.5 rating restaurant spree. basically picking only the restaurants rated more than 4.5 on zomato and visiting them. (disclaimer - vegetarian)

went to this place a couple of days back. ambience is okish. this isn't a dinner ambience. this is more of a drinks and casual finger food kind of ambience and the furniture and settings kind of reflect that.

the kind of seating they provided to us was weirdly funny. like a middle class home - sofa and cane chair setting.

anyway - coming back to the food itself.
for starters we ordered
"amul cheese and crushed guntur chillies toast" - was saltish but ok.
and "mkc style vada pav" - was ok. the vada was hot. the pav was soft. won't complain. but definitely needed more zing in both the vada and the chilly they gave as a "side".

for mains - we had ordered
"aloo chole, kulcha" - was decent. kulcha was nice and hot and you could smell the butter and cheese. the chole was exceptionally well made. so full marks for that. quantity is ridiculously less for the price charged. so even for one person - it wouldn't suffice.

we also ordered their "bombay sampler".
who on earth makes ragda with saunf ? it seemed more like saunf with ragda pieces in it. misal pav was really meh. bhaji was also very average. not impressed at all.

we thought, since both the starters and mains were underwhelming - perhaps the dessert might surprise us. and surprise us it did !

one of the worst and saddest desserts we've ever had - the madras kitchen sundae. kandravi. please don't order this. there are a dozen ice cream shops outside that sell better stuff.

did we tell you - that they lost power during the course of dinner ? for 2 full minutes and then there was smell of someone's sizzler that one could smell across the "entire" floor for nearly 5 minutes.

service sucks donkeyballs.

food was very bad.. the soupy momos had thick skin and the soup was like soy sauce water, the aloo chole was pathetic, the baby corn skewers were under cooked, saag makkai roti tasted like gongkura… i dont recommend this place to anyone, misel pav and bok choy with sticky rice were the only two dishes that tasted averege

chef yuga did a splendid job in parotta and beef, podi idli, appam and egg curry

very upset onnthe service. too much delay in getting food. we all were almost exhausted by the time we got our food

a surprisingly priced five star restaurant with a fairly elaborate menu. while the beef pepper fry with malabar parathas was the pick of the lot, the thai shrimp garlic toast was probably the best starter. the mkc mutton biriyani was good without being great as was as was the goan prawn curry "tiffin". the same could be said of the thai basil chicken wings and the pork belly open bao.

it was nice to see the typically tamilnadu drinks like bovonto and paneer soda listed among the soft drinks ! they will get you alcohol from the hotel bar.

the staff seemed rushed off their feet and service was a bit slow. the prices are surprisingly friendly for a 5 star hotel.

well worth a few visits. i hope it opens soon after the covid scare disappears !
