kudos to the team! will definitely drop by again to try their other offerings.

the restaurant has a wonderfulambienceand service. the menu was quite limited and did not have separate starter, main course split. the food was average. i expected more since the ratings were great.

we are on a 4.5 rating restaurant spree. basically picking only the restaurants rated more than 4.5 on zomato and visiting them. (disclaimer - vegetarian)

went to this place a couple of days back.ambienceis okish. this isn't a dinner ambience. this is more of a drinks and casual finger food kind ofambienceand the furniture and settings kind of reflect that.

the kind of seating they provided to us was weirdly funny. like a middle class home - sofa and cane chair setting.

anyway - coming back to the food itself.
for starters we ordered
"amul cheese and crushed guntur chillies toast" - was saltish but ok.
and "mkc style vada pav" - was ok. the vada was hot. the pav was soft. won't complain. but definitely needed more zing in both the vada and the chilly they gave as a "side".

for mains - we had ordered
"aloo chole, kulcha" - was decent. kulcha was nice and hot and you could smell the butter and cheese. the chole was exceptionally well made. so full marks for that. quantity is ridiculously less for the price charged. so even for one person - it wouldn't suffice.

we also ordered their "bombay sampler".
who on earth makes ragda with saunf ? it seemed more like saunf with ragda pieces in it. misal pav was really meh. bhaji was also very average. not impressed at all.

we thought, since both the starters and mains were underwhelming - perhaps the dessert might surprise us. and surprise us it did !

one of the worst and saddest desserts we've ever had - the madras kitchen sundae. kandravi. please don't order this. there are a dozen ice cream shops outside that sell better stuff.

did we tell you - that they lost power during the course of dinner ? for 2 full minutes and then there was smell of someone's sizzler that one could smell across the "entire" floor for nearly 5 minutes.

service sucks donkeyballs.

definitely won't recommend.

theambienceis nice and the staff were super friendly. food wise we had an average experience !
the bullet chilli chicken with peanuts was the best one of the night. the taste was really good and it had the right indo chinese touch to it.
the amul cheese toast with guntur chillies was another highlight and a must try if you love cheese.

the main course is where we were let down. ghee rice and mutton ghee roast was below average and the ghee roast masala wasn’t authentic or doesn’t do any justice to mangalore style that they claim it to be.

and another disappointment of the night was the meen polichadhu, it was overly burnt and had a bitter taste in the masala, so we had to return it.

food was very goodambienceand quality and taste of the food was amazing, loved mutton biryani, chicken bullet and chicken wings.. isacc was very regular to us always take care of us very well...

it was damn good such a wonderful environment,ambiencewas pretty cool and food it was fabulous to see the way they plated..😍 mr. isac supervisor was very good with service knowledge and his recommendations was tasty..

went for a family lunch on a sunday. limited number of items in menu but all the dishes we ordered were fresh and unique taste. only drawback i found was the air conditioning. i don’t know if it’s due to covid , otherwise a greatambienceto dine in.

the service was great, staff was friendly,ambiencewas good, good drinks menu, limited but good choice of food. overall a good place to hang out.

madras kitchen company is a nice restaurant located in westin hotel, velachery (opposite guru nanak college)

an indian restaurant worth trying.

what i ordered :
1. banana wrapped mahi mahi meen polichathu, coconut & shallot sambhal and rice appalam
2. mkc mutton biriyani (a must try)
3. beef pepper fry, mini malabar parottas
4. brownie monster shake

starter :
the banana wrapped meen polichathu was really good. it had a nice flavour balance to it with a sour note at the end. the appalam and sambhal combination were really good together

the main course :
1. mkc mutton biriyani is a definite must try here. it is given along with onion raita, brinjal masala and a fried egg. this biriyani a mild amount of spice to it. it had the perfect amount of ghee to it and a considerable amount of mutton pieces making this an amazing dish totally worth trying.
2. the beef pepper fry and parotta were really good as well. the parottas were soft and flaky and the beef was filled with flavour. but it was a little hard in texture which made it difficult for us to eat.

dessert : the brownie freak shake was not up to the mark. it was not served cold making the whole milkshake experience disappointing. the taste was good but the warm milkshake masked the taste.

theambienceis really good - well spaced seating and lovely interior decor.
the service was really good. the staff were courteous and brought the food with no delays.

a nice place to try indian food with a twist. would love to come here again for the lovely starters and main food, but desserts need a lot of improvement.

taste is at perfection. especially beef curry. wonderfulambienceand interiors. nice place for friends and family

chicken was like rubbery(probably fried days before)
fish pollichathu is exactly tasted like a fish piece taken from a tamilnadu style fishcurry
nowhere i felt the flavour of kerala

lastly the mkc mutton biryani which is upto the mark
(nothing special)

overall superb service andambiencewith a very substandard food quality .
