worst service ever. last night i went to dinner atmissdelta's with my partner and some of our family. it was the worst service i have ever had there. first of all it took a minute to get our order taken. then it took about ten minutes to get 4 drinks made and a soda. when or order came up. the manager who was behind the bar with the only other server mind you told her the food was up and then they both proceeded to make drinks while our food sat in the window for 2.5 mins until the cook brought it to us. when we got our food it wasn't hot, it was warm. my brisket sandwich was gross and my sweet potatoe fries were not cooked all the way. my brother-in-law's food wasn't properly cooked either. after or order was taken no one came to check on us. my partner went to the manager who was behind the bar and asked to speak with him. he said he eruptions be there in a few mins. the waitress came over and finally checked on us and we explained or concerns. she apologized and said she was new to bartending. we talked to her about the food and she said she would get the manager. after about 5 to 10 mins the manager finally came to talk to us. my brother-in-law explained what was happening and the manager immediately for defensive. he threw the waitresses under the bus and said he was not our server. but we explained he is the manager and it's his job to oversee the entire restaurant. he then got loud and started talking all the plates from the table. even the ones that people were not complaining about. and he never took ownership for anything. needless to say dan the manager atmissdelta's might want to find a new line of work if that is how he handles a busy night. i will never enter this establishment again. very disappointed in how things were handled.

best meatloaf in town!. i dig the atmosphere at themissdelta- casual, like being at a friends house. the food is fantastic and the drinks are strong.

i'm a huge fan of the meatloaf, in whatever variety is being served up. seasonal sides are always the best option.

it can get busy during weekend dinner times, but if you go early or during the week, you can get a great dinner with little wait.

when it comes to sunday brunch,missdelta is our hero. no 1 hour wait, no rush, no tight squeeze... instead we get window seating, ccr and velvet underground on the radio, and delicious, well priced food that my south western fella can authentically enjoy. love this place and their staff!

it's ok.. i really wantedmissdelta to be just like the delta cafe over on woodstock. it's not. it's just missing something.
it's great thatmissdelta is closer to my place, but i'd go the distance to eat at the original delta cafe next time i've got a craving for it.

if you are looking for a substantial amount of food at a very low price,missdelta is the place. most happy hour places around portland offer smaller versions of their house plates during those blessed afternoon hours we all love so much. atmissdelta t

a little closer.....missdelta gets a little closer to a "meat'n'three" place like we'd have in the south. they don't try too hard to fuse or overdress the sides, which is a good thing. i had the chicken fried steak, which i found to be good, but the gravy needed a bit of spicing up with pepper. the collard greens were perfectly spiced; however, i'm not much of a stem-eater and stems were included. the macaroni and cheese tasted wonderful, but lacked body. the best things were the black eyed pea fritters.

the service on this particular night was good -- once we *finally* got seated. there were only two people serving and tending the bar in the whole place, the second night after a groupon was issued. this should have been anticipated.

it's no whistlestop (irondale) cafe, but i enjoyed it overall.

i do likemissdelta and found the food to be very good. ordered up some black-eyed fritters and sweet potato fries for starters. dinner consisted of an order of bbq ribs with a side of mac & cheese and rice & beans. the ribs were okay - a little too much fat - and the two sides were better. all in all, a good dinner and i would come back. to be honest, however, even though i liked it there is not that urge to come right back for more rieal soon.
