missdeltais a decent size with about 10 tables or more. it had old black and white pictures that showed the restaurant's past as a butcher's shop. modernized, the restaurant was rather hipster-esque with its adorable brick walls.

when it comes to sunday brunch, missdeltais our hero. no 1 hour wait, no rush, no tight squeeze... instead we get window seating, ccr and velvet underground on the radio, and delicious, well priced food that my south western fella can authentically enjoy. love this place and their staff!

it's ok.. i really wanted missdeltato be just like thedeltacafe over on woodstock. it's not. it's just missing something.
it's great that missdeltais closer to my place, but i'd go the distance to eat at the originaldeltacafe next time i've got a craving for it.

if you are looking for a substantial amount of food at a very low price, missdeltais the place. most happy hour places around portland offer smaller versions of their house plates during those blessed afternoon hours we all love so much. at missdeltat

a little closer..... missdeltagets a little closer to a "meat'n'three" place like we'd have in the south. they don't try too hard to fuse or overdress the sides, which is a good thing. i had the chicken fried steak, which i found to be good, but the gravy needed a bit of spicing up with pepper. the collard greens were perfectly spiced; however, i'm not much of a stem-eater and stems were included. the macaroni and cheese tasted wonderful, but lacked body. the best things were the black eyed pea fritters.

the service on this particular night was good -- once we *finally* got seated. there were only two people serving and tending the bar in the whole place, the second night after a groupon was issued. this should have been anticipated.

it's no whistlestop (irondale) cafe, but i enjoyed it overall.

i do like missdeltaand found the food to be very good. ordered up some black-eyed fritters and sweet potato fries for starters. dinner consisted of an order of bbq ribs with a side of mac & cheese and rice & beans. the ribs were okay - a little too much fat - and the two sides were better. all in all, a good dinner and i would come back. to be honest, however, even though i liked it there is not that urge to come right back for more rieal soon.
