milltown bar & grill

my friend just got hired here, and we hadn't heard of it, so went here. wing wednesdays= awesome! i've been to other places for wings, but they were dry, not this place- they were saucy and soooo yummy! also got the dry dock salad- other places would charge way more for what i got. large portion,goodquality of steak, not skimpy on the dry onions, and also agoodratio of dressing. fast service for a pretty busy wednesday night. totally recommend fusing flavours for the wings - like spicy / thai! yum! also had the raspberry drop shot. big shot, very happy with this place, will be back!

miltown is sandwiched between south vancouver and richmond. it is so close to richmond that you can clearly see the mcarthur glen outlets from the restaurant! hey, that’s a bonus –goodview!. getting there is slightly tricky… below is a semi-helpful illustration on where to go. basically, turn into that minor intersection as you drive along granville st./sw marine dr.

lovely place with a great view by the water with lots of patio space. have been here on several occasions and service has been great. food for the most part isgoodbut sometimes can be a hit or miss. mushroom caps on my last visit were quite salty. burgers and pizzas seem to be the popular choice. have decent drink specials everyday. love the ample parking.

staff and servers are always really friendly andgoodselection of beer.  food can be hit and miss, but you can't go wrong with the burgers and the pizzas.

this is the 2nd time i have been here, the 1st time i have burger & beer, the food is just okay, this time i bring my friends to try the sunday special (prime rib). everything is fine until we ordered 3 special, the waitress said that there was a house rule (need to order drinks instead) that the menu didn't state. the attitude of the waitress is notgoodbecause we don't know we need to order drink at first.
finally, we ordered 1 beer & 2 soft drinks, prime rib is much too fat & soft drink has more ice instead of pop, overall not a verygoodexperience for my friends.

located on a secluded little island between richmond and vancouver’s marpole neighbourhood is the milltown bar & grill. if you weren’t aware that it was here to begin with, it’d be pretty hard to find it by chance as it’s located on the other side of the marina in which it is situated. one of the first things you’ll notice, aside from it’s patio with a beautiful view of the airport and the new designer outlet, is the friendly greeter that shows you in! off to agoodstart so far…

recently agoodfriend recommended me to this restaurant so i had to bring jess along to check it out! when i google mapped this place in the beginning, i was surprised to see that this restaurant was located on some sort of "island" off the southwest corner of vancouver. if you didn't know where this restaurant was ahead of time, it would be very difficult to find if you just drove around looking for it. i highly suggest google mapping this first!

being a family that practically lives in a marina and on our boat during the summer , i love the fact this is right in the marina . the food however is prettygoodfor a bar like atmosphere . the beef dip is tender and juicy , the yam fries aregood, but greasy though , the dip is nice . the wings are agoodsize and price , but are usually soggy and doused in sauce ( not my favorite ) . great location , and nice , casual atmosphere .

was there with a few friends for sunday brunch. the place was packed. our food came quite late and slow. we were not in a rush as lots of catchup to do.
love the beer special too on sundays.
when we were ready for the bill, the waitress apologized for the food delay and advised that the bill was reduced for 25% discount. we did not say a word, no complaint for the service and slow food. honestly, we were so busy catching up that we weren't even aware of the food being late.
regardless, nice gesture and goodwill!

great burger!. came by late to watch the end of a canucks game. had the burger and beer special. fabulous, juicy, big burger. reallygoodfries. really nice room too. service was good. want to come back during the day as the view looks like it would be nice.

didn't know chicken breasts came so small. ordered the chicken pesto burger and all i can say is that i did not know that chicken breasts came so small!! the meat portion of the burger - and i am not kidding - was about 2.5" x 4" and a whopping 1/8" thick. it was tiny! i do not honestly know who they think this meal would satisfy. it was smaller than a child's portion.

having said that, the food isgoodand fresh and your side dishes are agoodsize (thank goodness or i would have been starving!!).

its location is alright. they boast about the view but really, it is only visible from one side of the restaurant (where everyone wants to sit) and in the end, the view is okay. you sit above the water, so not much of a water view, more the feeling or ambiance of the water setting. it is a prettier 'location' if you take a walk after lunch or dinner.

for $25.00 - burger, drink, and tip, i just cannot honestly recommend this pub. nothing wrong per se, but nothing to go back for either. simply average.

great atmosphere, friendly staff. the food wasgoodquality, but desperately under seasoned. so under seasoned my fries where not even salted; and frankly i'm not eating pub food for my health. i ordered the halibut burger, which was flavourless; very sad given the choice ingredients. my bf ordered the burger, and again the patty lacked any seasoning. despite this; we will definitely return, due to the great location and friendly staff (and of course cold beer).

nice venue.goodfood, great beer selection and friendly staff.goodvalue! been here four times since it opened and hasn't disappointed. also south patio isgoodfor aircraft spotters. just wish they wouldn't allow car and boat parking opposite this south patio as it obstructs the view of the river and its interesting boat traffic.
