milltown bar & grill

another night out with some old friends and went to milltown bar & grill.  came to another popular restaurant by the water. what a privilege to be eating next to an amazing view within the city.foodis always yummy when deep fried. ahi tuna salad.  need to load up on these in vancouver whenever i could.

i love this place. it's perfect for any meal of the day, as well as a night out. they offer a free shuttle to pick you up and drop you off on weekends. they also have daily drink andfoodspecials. the staff are very friendly and personable. for food, their wings are the best i've had since i moved to vancouver. i'd also recommend their stuffed mushroom caps and their baked goat cheese. very good, and the serving size is generous. my boyfriend and i shared three appetizers and couldn't finish them all (and we are both big eaters). there is also a view of the river and marina. if you like nautical style, this place is for you.

not special typefoodi like and dry chicken taste.. only one restaurant in island ,nothing i can compared . average price and service. staff are nice and location are little hard to find

lovely place with a great view by the water with lots of patio space. have been here on several occasions and service has been great.foodfor the most part is good but sometimes can be a hit or miss. mushroom caps on my last visit were quite salty. burgers and pizzas seem to be the popular choice. have decent drink specials everyday. love the ample parking.

hidden away in vancouver ( but the address is richmond) right under the arthur laing bridge
staff and servers are always really friendly and good selection of beer. foodcan be hit and miss, but you can't go wrong with the burgers and the pizzas.

this is the 2nd time i have been here, the 1st time i have burger & beer, thefoodis just okay, this time i bring my friends to try the sunday special (prime rib). everything is fine until we ordered 3 special, the waitress said that there was a house rule (need to order drinks instead) that the menu didn't state. the attitude of the waitress is not good because we don't know we need to order drink at first.
finally, we ordered 1 beer & 2 soft drinks, prime rib is much too fat & soft drink has more ice instead of pop, overall not a very good experience for my friends.

it's my second time here at mill town and so far not bad. it's got a nice patio area where you can watch planes land. the quality offoodis very similar to flying beaver. if you like theirfoodyou'll like milltown

great location, service is okay,foodis mediocre. some plates are really bland and some are really salty. i would suggest staying away from the clam chowder. it's watery, salty and fishy. tacos are super dry but had some flavor. sesame tuna salad was probably the best, it is seasoned well, avocado makes it creamy but tuna is fishy. drinks were great, would probably only come back for drinks.

being a family that practically lives in a marina and on our boat during the summer , i love the fact this is right in the marina . thefoodhowever is pretty good for a bar like atmosphere . the beef dip is tender and juicy , the yam fries are good , but greasy though , the dip is nice . the wings are a good size and price , but are usually soggy and doused in sauce ( not my favorite ) . great location , and nice , casual atmosphere .

was there with a few friends for sunday brunch. the place was packed. ourfoodcame quite late and slow. we were not in a rush as lots of catchup to do.
love the beer special too on sundays.
when we were ready for the bill, the waitress apologized for thefooddelay and advised that the bill was reduced for 25% discount. we did not say a word, no complaint for the service and slow food. honestly, we were so busy catching up that we weren't even aware of thefoodbeing late.
regardless, nice gesture and goodwill!
will be good back.

didn't know chicken breasts came so small. ordered the chicken pesto burger and all i can say is that i did not know that chicken breasts came so small!! the meat portion of the burger - and i am not kidding - was about 2.5" x 4" and a whopping 1/8" thick. it was tiny! i do not honestly know who they think this meal would satisfy. it was smaller than a child's portion.

having said that, thefoodis good and fresh and your side dishes are a good size (thank goodness or i would have been starving!!).

its location is alright. they boast about the view but really, it is only visible from one side of the restaurant (where everyone wants to sit) and in the end, the view is okay. you sit above the water, so not much of a water view, more the feeling or ambiance of the water setting. it is a prettier 'location' if you take a walk after lunch or dinner.

for $25.00 - burger, drink, and tip, i just cannot honestly recommend this pub. nothing wrong per se, but nothing to go back for either. simply average.

milltown has been my local for the last few years, it's a rare mix of nice vibe and lighting without feeling pretentious. the staff seem to make a point of greeting and saying goodbye to customers, which feels welcoming and thefoodis good. the specials that run from sunday - thursday are great, my favourites are the burger and beer special on mondays and wing wednesdays.

i really like this place. we went there when it was extremely busy with christmas parties, and we were looked after in a timely manner. they were attentive and thefoodwas outstanding.

great out of the way spot. we had a very nice lunch at this out of the way spot. it has lovely views of the river. good pubfoodand great service. will definitely be back!

go for drinks only.foodok...drinks well priced...service terrible.
