oct 2018 - this place has being growing well, have been frequenting often and find the food, service and entertainment really good. still a lover of the teaspot andmenuhas been changed up a bit. they definitely move up to 4!

2017 - the new addition to monte casino square. its beautifully elegant with a french style decor, quite a change from the previous jenda. the wait staff are also dressed to fit in. the idea was saturday night dinner but themenuis limited. it is on the pricier side, can't justify 4 crumbed prawns at 135. it was also breaded and not tempura as per menu. we also tried the hoisin chicken wings, pototo skins and onion rings. both wings and prawns served with sweet chilli sauce or as they classify it chilli jam, no ginger dipping sauce as per menu. onion rings were flat and not tempura crispy.

for a bar the drinks, cocktail and winemenuis good. there is also no tv in here which i get will damper the look and concept. my teaspot was lovely served in a teapot. service is great and the complimentary truffle honey popcorn was nice. to come in for a quick drink and snack maybe before or after the show is ideal but not a place l'd linger long enough for. i know i will go back and try this place again based on location but as the sister branch of limas first impression was just not as good.

open for less than a month, milk & honey is a unique place for a few reasons: the decor is very special, right down to the french graffiti; the service is excellent, wait staff are very friendly and happy to tweak themenuslightly; and a unique birthday jam that puts a smile on everyone's faces. the food offering tries to be unique - perhaps a little too much? however we tried most items from the starters and a few from the mains, with some ice cream to round things off. honey is a common theme, along with truffle oil that perhaps pops up a few too many times on themenuto remain niche. but themenuis a work-in-progress, so look out for good changes. the cheese burger though, hit the spot. well worth a visit, even if only for the impressive drinks selection.

same owners and chef as lima tapas bar - so was expecting as wonderful an experience as i had had at lima - and was not wrong :) beautifully decorated with light wood and french inspired finishes, the service staff were friendly and helpful in making suggestions. lightmenu- tapas, burgers and the like, do yourself a favour and try a "teaspot" tea pot cocktail as well as the arancini balls and the popcorn with honey truffle oil - it is to die for!! outdoor seating area for smokers and a fun vibe as the sun goes down. dj's on the decks on weekends - no cover charge and their first thursday parties are great fun. highly recommended!

this place is the epitome of class and elegance. tops in every way. the waiters are beautifully presented and well dressed. the teams are friendly and knowledgeable. chandeliers, french sayings, black and white decor, this place oozes beauty. the music is trendy and inviting....wine list andmenuis extensive and perfectly paired. chef justine is just the best. sister restaurant to lima tapas and you now know why. worth it. be there again soon.

my eating experience has been strictly prohibited to their cocktailmenubut that is what i expect of a place like this and it was 5star. white dj needs to play less r kelly. it is a calm bop thou!!!!!

a super cool place with a great vibe.

the decor is classy and feels very welcoming. we were greeted at the entrance and then taken to our seats.

the dj was really good, keeping the vibe of the bar chilled yet exciting.

service was a little slow. our bottle of wine came first, we then waited a little before our cocktail and whiskey arrived at the table.

drinks are a little pricey so be aware that you are going to fork out a little more when visiting milk and honey bar.

the foodmenulooks appetising and i'd love to review this place again once i've tried their food menu.

great vibe and venue. whether you are just celebrating or grabbing a drink before a show. the foodmenuhas great snacks and nibbles. the drinksmenucaters for any taste.

i was speechless as i walked into the restaurant. the interior is absolutely gorgeous it took my breath away.
we only had cocktails as nothing on themenudrew our attention and the prices was also very hefty for a quick lunch with the girls.
the cocktails were something different, some enjoyed theirs others were dissapointed mostly in the size compares to the price.
the complimentary honey pop corn is a very nice touch.

themenuis limited and i struggled to decide what i actually wanted to eat. we ended up sharing the tempura prawns which were the best i've ever had and a platter with veg and chicken. the food is amazingly well presented - my cocktail, the platter and dessert and it was all good. the service was awesome. i highly recommend the milk and honey bar.

it's great for a drink before the show coupled with a light bite.

it's different to mist places as it has a limitedmenuwith specialities like duck featured in its main dishes.

the puddings as i like to call them are excellent with a completely different spin on a milk tart which is a must try.

the interiors are nicely appointed with the outside area giving the cafe vibe to watch the people go by.

but check themenubefore you go because if you a fussy eater you may be left hungry.

a very elegant place. an epitome of style and class. the reception we received the moment we stepped in blew me away! we had all the seating options shown to us so we could pick what suited us best. we were there for drinks. the waiters are neat and well presented. our waiter was quick and on the ball with such a lovely personality. i wanted a cocktail that wasn't on themenuand the barman accommodated me. the ambience is so good that we really didn't want to leave. will definitely be going back on a regular basis. i'd recommend it to anyone who wants to hang out in style.

decent venue and good location near the theatre with option to sit outdoors (inside and outdoors).menuis limited and appreciate the good selection of wines by the glass. service was hit and miss.. struggled to get attention a few times and starters arrived at same time as mains. steak was tough and almost inedible... coating on the fish and chips was soggy with no flavour. i'll come back for drinks but avoid the food.

let me first say that this is a beautiful restaurant - the decor is really something special. very light and classic - french-inspired and a good measure of 'bling' added.  i think it is simply stunning.

i guess some people may find themenua little limited, but i'm happy with a smallermenuif the quality of the meals offered is good.  we got some honey truffle popcorn to nibble on - totally delicious!

hubby ordered the duck and cherry pot pie and i went with the cheese burger. added some triple fried fries with parmesan and truffle oil - the best ever!  seeing that the cheese burger was more expensive than the duck pie, i was a little apprehensive to order it (seldom that you see beef is more pricey than duck on a menu), but it was really good!  hubby enjoyed the pie as well :)

good service and a great wine list - a lovely sunday lunch indeed! 

06.05.2017 so after the show we felt like something to end the evening and after having an epic pre show dinner at lima (who are the same owners and chef) we thought this would be perfect.

unfortunately it was really disappointing. maybe still opening teething problems but in terms of value for money it's not there. if they up their game the same way lima has done a turnaround they'll survive.

we ordered coffees, and 2 milkshakes, 1 strawberry and 1 chocolate. firstly they took forever to arrive. the coffee cups are very awkward to drink out of, and the milkshakes were completely icy. no milkyness or flavour in either one. as for our desserts, i will always order milktart or carrot cake if its on themenuand my sister took a chance with the panna cotta. no where on themenudoes it state it's in liquid form. what i got was a small espresso cup filled with milk tart flavoured melted ice cream of sorts and a crumb on top. not worth the r55 price at all. my sisters panna cotta if you could find it as it was so small, was as solid as jelly with so many decorations you couldn't see it in the silver tray it was served on. luckily at that time chef justine had walked in so i discussed my concerns and disappointment with her. sadly this place was a miss. also most tables were given complimentary popcorn on arrival. it showed up on our bill but we never received it.

hopefully better luck another time.
