previously had been to melt in cleveland and this location did not disappoint! service was very good and fast, and thefoodwas on point. we came in late and they never acted like we were stopping them from closing. 5 stars for sure!

melt is a great place for fun and tasty food. despite how busy they were, my friends and i got a table in a short time. all of the staff were friendly. the overall atmosphere was very trendy and vibrant. thefoodwas also very good. my friend had the cleveland cheesesteak, which he describes as juicy, tasty and gooey. i had the backyard bbq (however i replaced the sharp cheddar with provolone) which was very nice and the sauce was flavorful. both sandwiches are pictured. as you can see, the portions are very large. a "whole" sandwich could be shared, and is probably too big for lunch. thefoodwas a little pricey, but it was worth it. we did have to wait longer than expected for my friend's soup, though. overall, it was a good experience and we would go again.

went here on father's day around 2. service was not good-they did not have host at front and linda of rude in getting us sat, then slow service. thefoodwas okay, large portion but more bread than cheese. just thought it was okay

blah. melt passes off dryfoodas delicious to hipsters that are so mesmerized by the quirky decor that they don't notice they are eating sandpaper. on their extensive menu, only one item could be described as good, which are the wings. unfortunately, even these fall victim to inept cooking and being seasoned by a tongue-less ogre. additionally, they seem to have reduced their hours, officially making them useless to the short north.

this is a must. first off, i will say, be careful when you order, servings are huge. my wife and i usually split lunch and this was still more than expected for lunch.
the service is lacking, to say the least. the restaurant was about 1/3 of the way filled, but we felt like the service was for a full house. this was the only disappointing part; but a huge part. the waitress came to the table after a 15 minute wait; no drinks other than water for 15 minutes. the waitress even removed my wife's plate before she was finished. she did ask before doing so, but was reaching for the plate while asking; kind of ridiculous.
the food:
we split the winter chicken (roasted pulled chicken, sautéed onions & peppers, tortilla crusted mozzarella wedges, honey chipotle sauce, pepper-jack). wow, this is good, very good. i am not sure who could have desert after eating this sandwich, so that wasn't even a thought.
the price was on par for the amount offoodyou are given. will probably eat here again, but only if the wait staff improves.

not as vegan friendly as they say!. if they are going to offer vegetarian and vegan friendly food, the staff should be trained on what that means.
yes, the fries may be vegan but that would be before they are cooked in a shared fryer with meat items. i have been there three times and was given different answers about thefoodeach visit. if you are going to put a vg by thefoodas it it has a vegan option, don't bring it with things that are not vegan. it gives the impression that you can eat it.

when i brought it to their attention, they became defensive and said, "well, i'm sure they didn't do it on purpose".

don't waste your time! the short north has far to many great places to eat to wait 2 hours to get a grilled cheese. i was recently at melt with a party of 10. when they sat us at our table after waiting 2 hours it only sat 8. the couple next to us were getting up and i asked if we could have the table. the manager told me no; people have been waiting to long and we would have to squeeze in at our table. he didn't do it nicely either. we then wait for an hour to get our food. it wasn't great food; it was a terrible experience. what takes so long to make mediocre barfoodanyways.
