cool place.. i really like thisplaceand i can see why it's won many awards. good cocktails, it's reasonably priced and food portions are generous. only problem i had was that the bartender thought he was a bit too cool which compromised the service a little but overall, great place.

great staff, great spot. the staff were very funny and helpful. go out of their way to make it enjoyable considering the long wait for drink (damn cocktail bars!).
interesting and strange mix of drinks. music not too loud, greatplaceto be able to catch up and still talk to each other. nice place, nice view, nice atmosphere!

a lovely rooftop bar thad is slightly hidden away. enjoyed having drinks at thisplaceespecially during summer season. staffs are friendly.

awesomeplacefor pint and chat. decor is on point and the architecture of the venue is lovely - old wooden housing turned establishment. bartenders are quite fun too!

no. definitely no. at first we were charmed by the place, access is vía a back door and it's a chilled rooftop bar, the view is not amazing, but the set up is friendly. the problem lies in their staff. we had to face and endure the banter of their bartender on my friend's birthday, getting his judgment for what she has done or not done in her life and not stopping when telling him he has to. really disappointing, he took himself for a smart as hipster and he was just really rude and couldn't even make a decent drink. that's really sad that the behavior of that guy not only ruined our night but also the reputation of theplaceas it apparently happened to one of our co worker too.

this small barplaceis great for after work drinks. great range of burgers. yum. would definitely come back with friends for burgers and beers.

this is the third time i've been here, and i'd go back again. theplacehas a great vibe, the staff are friendly and the burgers are good (but not great). the dining area has room for larger groups, but also some nooks and crannies for parties of 2 or 3. today we had the kenny burger and the qvb burger, with chips and aioli. the kenny burger used a homemade veg patty - tick! the flavours were definitely there and i enjoyed it, but to be honest i do stop and think of better. saying that, it was really fresh, with lots of salad, i did feel like i was eating something good for me. my friend enjoyed his burger, which included lots of bacon and egg, with a thick patty. his only gripe was that the beef patty was a little dry. the potion sizes were generous and we were glad we opted to share the chips. chips were crunchy and yum.

it's chic, cool, and hipster! it also cozy, inviting and can be classified as a 'cool spot' in town! drinks are good (as most bars do), the waiters and bartenders are friendly, hipster yet knowledgeable! perfect spot for after work drinks or sunday sesh!

favplacein the city for a drink. the bartenders know what they're doing and have yet to disappoint.. laid back atmosphere for catching up with people. if you get nibbly you can order a delicious flipside burger to brought up.

thisplaceused to be my favourite cocktailplacein perth until i visited another one down the road, however still the best option closest to the city. last i was there, smoking was permitted in all the outside area, which is awful, as the inside is very small. cool eclectic music played and generally nice ambience. i haven't tried the food option but sounds like a great idea to be able to order your burgers from next door and have them brought up.

great range of cocktails that change regularly. order food from the flipside downstairs at the bar and they'll bring it out to you. great casual bar to get away from the noise of the city. though when it's busy it can be hard to get aplaceto sit.

my best friend and i decided to make this out
main stop on a mid week catchup. i had heard sooo many reviews of this place, plus the outdoor eating/smoking area (my friend smokes, plus this is a very rare commodity in perth as less than 5 indoor venues are legally allowed to have smokers inside) and the history of theplacemeant we were super keen for a good night.

we were greeted by brendan and brendan, both top blokes who made us a range of cocktails to meet our fussy tastes. of course i ended up on my usual scotch, but was delighted at the wonderful selection of international whiskeys available. after a few hours there we were also equally impressed by the available cheap bar snacks, including soy crisps and fried noodle snacks. cue hashtag #perfectdrinkingsnacks

unfortunately the pretentious and generally negative attitude of one senior staff member means we will probably not come here again.

i bet all people babble on about when they write about thisplaceis the epic sunday bloody mary. do try! moving right along -pretty much every drink on the menu is original and delicious. good work guys.

perth tier 1 bar. reading some of the reviews brings me a lot of entertainment, as i can imagine the type of whiny customers that give thisplacea negative review. sure, there are a few hipsters there, and sometimes one or two of the bartenders are a little arrogant, but overall, the quality of drinks, service and the overall atmosphere of thisplaceis essentially unbeatable. the bartenders in perth, in my opinion, are an elite calibre. this is coming from someone who has been to top-end bars all over the world, from russia to japan to the usa. their knowledge of making drinks, but also recommending wines, beers and spirits is exceptional and the vibe that the owners and staff have given thisplacereally makes it a pleasure to be around. if you haven't been there before, do go.

also, the value for money is excellent. it's a shame to live in melbourne without mechanics.
