maxwell's east coast eatery

honestly so tired of how rude they are at maxwells. they can't even be polite when they tell people "2 hours" delivery time on pizza. that's insane. i understand how busy restaurants can get because i am in the business. never an excuse to be so rude.

cheesesteak. staying at a local hotel. ordered delivery. ordered the cheesesteak with mushrooms, peppers and onions. arrived plain with just cheese. ordered the side salad with no olives. came with olives and no dressing. the taste was fair. tasted like something you'd get from a mall food court. husband had the chicken parm. nothing special. don't recommend this place.

fun place great food. we have been to maxwell's twice now and really enjoyed it. first time my husband and i had pizza and my daughter had the giant ravioli. delicious. last time we went for the dine-o-round. my daughter got the ravioli again (off the menu not part of dine-o-round). hubby and i got dine-o-round. he got soup and spaghetti and the biggest meatball i have ever seen. i got caesar salad and chicken parm. we each got a cannoli for dessert. great dinner for $15 each. we're going to try brunch next.

terrible service. i went there last night 06/25/2014 for my sisters birthday! the hostess was mor than accomodating and super nice she proceeded to sit us as she explained that they had just had to large groups come through. we sat down and waited a few min later the manager comes out and is sutch a b#$** she says that its going to be at least a 25 min wait. we are ok with waiting and ask if we can get some drinks while we wait she says she thinks she can get us a glass of water????? what? we tell her that isn't good enough and she says to wait and see what she can do. she comes back and says that she found a waiter that could help us she found one? really.... her terrible attitude and service led us to leave and no matter how amazing the food is i would never go back terrible experience....

we will be back for eggplant parmigiana sandwich!!!. saw the ddd episode. came for mama's gravy on eggplant parmigiana and chicken parmigiana sandwich side caesar salad that was best ever. eggplant was amazing.

yummy!. three of us came in to maxwell's just after the finish of the usa vs portugal world cup game. the place was busy and full of energy. our hostess seated us and let us know that it was busy due to the game but not to worry, they would take good care of us. will, or server, was fantastic. he was prompt, made sure our glasses were topped off and delivered us a giant pizza just how we ordered it. the pizza was fabulous. delicious crust, flavorful sauce, real cheese and quality pepperoni. the crust is new york style with a great brick oven touch. our server provided us with other great dining options while in town. we are going back to maxwell's one more time....it was that good.

great time. me and my boyfriend had a great time. service and food was amazing.salads lovers the chefs spinach salad the best i have ever had :)

we were staying at the grand america hotel in salt lake city and wanted a place to eat within walking distance. since we had two adults and two kids pizza was the choice. we walked a few blocks down to maxwells - home of fat kids pizza! not realizing kids can't go into the bar to wait for a table in utah, we just waited in the landing area. it was the beginning of march madness, so the tables were not turning quickly. the host and hostess were so great letting us know it could be a while and they would move us to a table quickly since we had the kids. well, it took longer than they liked so they sent over comp appetizer. clearly they were really worried about the time we were waiting. it was because the restaurant turns to a bar at 9:30 pm and it was 8:30 pm. they let us order and gave us the next table. we had food in 2 mins, and every manager checked on us to make sure everything was ok. the pizza was good, the ravioli was good, the salad was nice and the atmosphere was a fun sports bar- but not loud. the staff was very gracious, and we were happy to find a fun place to have a drink and pizza.

the smallest and most weightless philly cheesesteak ever. at $9.71 it's too much for too little.

really?. wow, i will never go there and will never refer anyone there! the bouncer's their allow people who beat people leaving their supposed east coast eastablishment to go. shame on you!
it is obviously not a safe place for someone to go since their own bouncers allow people who beat others to leave without talking with the police.
very disgusting behavior on their part....

great pizza! great cheese steak, ask for double meat.

great pizza! i love the thin crust and variety of toppings. i do like the park city location better, but there is always a wait.

always exceeds expectations. i discovered maxwell's via a munchie-fueled takeout order and the restaurant has become one of my favorites. the buffalo wings are divine--best i've found in slc so far, and my favorite item on the menu. the philly cheese steaks, pizza, bruschetta, soups, and pastas are exceptionally delicious. absolutely zero complaints about the food.
my only qualms with maxwell's are: the outside sign is difficult to read at night (and probably why i didn't even know of its existence), and the wait staff is somewhat dull for a joint with such personality.

whiskey and tequila shots for only $2 for a 1.25 oz shot. great pizza (thin crust, non greasy east coast style), and friendly, knowledgeable staff. great addition to main st dining options...
