great food, a little overpriced. we ordered the fettucini alfredo and the philly cheese steak. both were absolutelydeliciousbut we felt there just wasn't much on the plate in relation to how much we paid ($10 for each). the philly came with a small salad but the alfredo didn't...? to order a house salad is an extra $7. i thought that was odd.

i'm already craving another philly but will most likely pursue cheaper options that are just about as good.

great place for both weekend bar nights and lunchtime during the week!. i love maxwell's. my friends and i regularly go there on weekends to have a few drinks, enjoy the music and of course eat thedeliciousfood. the pizza is absolutely fabulous. i luckily work right across the plaza, so i am able to walk right over there for my lunches! definitely recommend it!

yummy!. three of us came in to maxwell's just after the finish of the usa vs portugal world cup game. the place was busy and full of energy. our hostess seated us and let us know that it was busy due to the game but not to worry, they would take good care of us. will, or server, was fantastic. he was prompt, made sure our glasses were topped off and delivered us a giant pizza just how we ordered it. the pizza was fabulous.deliciouscrust, flavorful sauce, real cheese and quality pepperoni. the crust is new york style with a great brick oven touch. our server provided us with other great dining options while in town. we are going back to maxwell's one more time....it was that good.

great pizza, great food in general. i'd been to the park city location (kimball junction) twice and i am glad they got the salt lake place open. they did a beautiful job on the remodel. a few things:

- it's hard to park. you are on your own downtown in that regard, so you may have to walk a couple of blocks to get to the location. it' worth it.

- the utah liquor gods have yet to issue these folks a license for wine and spirits, so you are stuck with the 3.2 beer they serve. this is supposed to clear up we were told.

now, it's a bit pricey for the fare - but it's very, very good. the thin crust, east coast style pizza is the best of the type in town now, and i have been to all of them. it is good enough that we'd drive to the park city area from sugarhouse to eat it.

cheesesteak - excellent. we've never had a bad dish come out of their kitchen in the park city spot - and now the slc location.

the other place for a different style and verydeliciouspizza downtown is settebello on 2nd west. wood fired naples style - excellent. now, we have two very good pizza options downtown.

maxwell's has a very open, airy feel, with lots of flat screens up for sports. i think visitors from nearby hotels will love the place once the rubes at the state get with the fact that the owners likely spent million bucks to get it open - a huge investment in main street - and they ought to be bending over backward to get these guys a full liquor license as fast as possible.

i give the food a hearty thumbs up.

according to the hubby, you know it’s true ny-style when you gotta fold the slices in half just to manage them. the original location hasn’t always been known for great service, but who cares when you get such adeliciouspizza. their wings don’t suck either.
