food 5, ambience 5, price 4, service 4: it’s a solid 4.5. so far, it’s probably the best korean restaurant we’ve experienced. what we loved about the menu is the availability of cheaper cuts to the more expensive cuts. so if you are scared of the usual samgyupsal fatty cuts, go for the more expensive ones to really enjoy the food. don’t come here just to order the cheap korean all you can eat cuts. but even when we ordered the more expensive cuts, it felt like a buffet. we ate all the barbecues and took home the japche, beef stew, and beef ribs soup. the servings are indeed generous. as for the price, you have to pay forqualitycuts. the place was clean and not stuffy despite everyone cooking. as for service, it took a while to be served and a friendlier cook would have been better. anyway, it was a busy lunch. but overall experience was great and worth returning to.

when we went at this branch in tiendesitas the place was really packed and busy but that didn't stop the waiters and waitresses to attend to our needs. they were very attentive and friendly. excellent management.

we ordered a bunch of meat, beef stew and pajeon and everything tasted really good. they were the ones who cooked for us which was great. the meat was really of highqualityand the taste of their beef stew was very rich. plus, there were a lot of delicious sides that you can refill for two to three times.

i also like how they designed the place wherein they have dividers so people can spend time and talk minding their own business. it's family friendly and kid friendly. the money is very worth it for the excellent food and service that you'll be having. i think what makes a dining experience great is not only the great food that you'll be served with but most importantly how the restaurant owners and staff treats the clients, which in this case, they did an awesome job!

the best value for money korean resto with highqualitymeat in the metro. the set meals are so worth it, regardless of which one you choose. the soup is also savory and perfect for the rainy season.

korean food is so popular in brisbane, and it’s no surprise that it’s even more popular in manila. i wanted to compare how they do kbbq here so some friends suggested masil, and off we went in a group of 6.

i was warned that it gets really busy, but we waited for 1.5 hours- a bit too long if you ask me. during this time staff came out to the waiting area sporadically updating a board with the meats they have left (seat us already or we won’t have any food left to eat!!).

the good news is that once we were seated, it didn’t take long for us to order and for all the food to slowly start coming out. we ended up with two sets and a few sides, with plates eventually filling up the whole table. the meats were buttery and tender, with the marinated ones evenly coated and not overly salty. definitely an enjoyable meal!

in comparison to kbbq in brisbane, masil in manila offers more options, has betterqualitymeats, and is better value.. just not sure if i’m ever prepared to wait that long again.

my favorite korean place in town! but they have minimum order for banchan refills and allows only up to 2 refills thats why i only gave 4 stars. butqualityof meat and food are the best. the ambiance is also very clean and upscale compared to other korean restaurants around 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

dined here last week with family. service was impeccable. galbitang (beef short rib soup) was so tender that it falls off the bone. the broth is soo good. all the meats that we got for grilling were all tender (even the thicker ones). they cook the meat for you, in front of you. masil is definitely one of the fancier kbbq places out there but you get thequalitythat you paid for.

actual rating: 4.8

pending 0.2: i want to try their bibimbap next time, before i can give it full credit.

we got the set b for four people with 4 variants of beef. i cannot remember the exact details, but theirqualityof beef meat is superb and exceeded expectations. they were tasty and cooked well (by their servers as well).

the chapchae that came with the set was very flavorful, medyo may lagkit ‘yung noodles which had the flavor to make it a winner. soup was great as well, a bit sour but with the spicy kick.

the beef soup with bones (looks like adobo) is a winner! very tender and flavorful, tastes like the best korean-style beef brisket!

just, give this place a chance!

masil is my go-to-place for casual dine in korean food. it serves your all time favorite korean dishes and bbq grilling is done by your assigned server. beef, pork or any item on the menu are of goodqualityand authentic. ordering is a breeze too. soup is part of your side dish when you order from the bbq grill on top of the usual kimchi and other fermented vegetables. on the downside, refill of side dishes is limited to one, while the soup and egg are non-refillable. nevertheless, you will still have a good meal.

if you're used to korean buffet, you will find masil expensive. average price per person is php400 without drinks. however, with its goodqualityof food and fast service, paying this much is good value for me. do take note that it's minimum of two mains for the bbq grill. a little unfriendly for those on a diet or solo diners.

call to reserve if dining as a group. line can get nasty on peak days like weekends and holidays. do try masil for authentic korean dishes.

we're craving for korean food and it's a good thing that we found this restaurant that's really close to my brother's workplace at tiendesitas. masil charcoal grill really satisfied our craving with their authentic korean taste of their food. we just love it. ❤️

they serve a wide variety of ban chan (side dishes) like kimchi; sautéed sayote and spinach; stir-fried anchovies; stir-fried peanut in soy sauce; steamed tofu and green salad with dressing. they refill their ban chan up to 2 servings.

they also have set meals that will surely satisfy the appetite of a group of 4. they offer premiumqualitymeat and it's really scrumptious. i really love their yangnyeom galbi, la galbi and my favorite, the masil bulgogi. any fan of korean food would be delighted in this haven.

it's also best to cap off this delectable meal with their refreshing cold tea.

you can visit them in 2 locations: one in tiendesitas and the other one in oranbo drive. the ambiance and service is also very notable.

here's some in their menu and the prices:

premium set b - p3,300

-saeng galbi - premium beef short ribs - 250g per order - p880
-yangnyeom galbi - premium beef short ribs marinated in special sweet sauce - 250g per order - p770 (best seller)
-la galbi - laterally sliced premium beef short ribs marinated in special sweet sauce - 250g per order - p660
-galbi jim - tender beef ribs in sweet sauce also known as korean beef stew - p490
-japchae - potato noodles sauteed with vegetables and pork - p330
-doenjang jjgae - bean paste soup - p300
-gyeran jjim - steamed eggs (soup) - p150

masil set a - p2,400

-galbisal - beef rib finger 160g per order - p550
-masil bulgogi - beef brisket marinated in house sweet sauce 180g per order - p490
-chadol-bagi -thinly sliced beef brisket 180g per order - p390
-yuk hoe - fresh beef tartare in sesame oil based sauce - p450
-haemul pajeon - korean style spring onion pancake with seafood - p350

masil

i've always been a fan of korean food and it was a delight when i was invited for a fmu at masil. it was my first time here so i didn't know what to expect. i've tried different korean bbq places before and i didn't have any of if it would be at par. to my delight, masil exceeded my expectations.
we tried premium set b and masil set a with each set having 4 types of meats, japchae, doenjang jjigae, 4 sets rice and banchan (which can be refilled twice). at p3,800/set and p2,400/set, respectively, you might think that it's expensive. given thequalityof the meat - all imported, the authentic banchan - owner is a korean, and service - all meats are cooked for you by the staff, plus the sets are already good for 4 people, spending a little more than the other korean bbq joints is already a good deal.
personally, i really liked the premium set b more because of the must-try la galbi. all meats are super tender and tastes very good!
if just want to try a couple of dishes, you can always order a la carte, but, if you ask me, the sets are worth the price.👍🏼

i've been an avid goer of korean restaurants for 3 years now. i've noticed specially that the more koreans  and the more ratchet the restaurant the better it taste. my pressumptions changed when i ate here despite the clean and posh look it has, it delivers legit and premium korean taste a fan of korean food would want.

as filipinos, we are used to buffet type sorts of korean restaurants although masil doesn't offer those they give you instead top notch premiumqualityingredients and service. the main reason behind not having buffet is that they don't want to compromise thequalityof their food and service. speaking of service, you don't need to cook it by yourself as the staff will cook it to perfection for you, they are very knowledgeable on each dish and how its cooked.

we were served the masil set a (p2400) and premium set b (p3300). together with choiced side dishes, i the note worthy ones were the marbled potato, steamed egg and deonjang  jjigae (tofu kimchi soup). though the refills of the side dishes are up to 2 only instead of unlimited side dishes. my favorites were the galbi jjim(beef stew), the legit japchae, pajeon (korean pancake). i specially liked the premium set meat specially the la galbi and yangnyeom galbi. these were char-grilled by their staff to medium rare tender perfection and gave an unforgettable amount of juicy umami together with the lettuce and red chili bean paste wrapped in one ball. from the masil set a i specially like the chadol-bagi and the masil bulgogi. both of them are very thin, melts in your mouth umami taste while the latter has a bit of a sweet taste too.

masil is now my favorite top korean restaurant because of its unmatched service, qualityand flavor of their food. it is a definite must try restaurant and probably a good benchmark or eye opener to someone who hasn't tried korean food at their best.

food 5/5 food was excellent
service 4.5/5 - the only bummer to me was the side dish refill limit but it's a compromise im willing to take forqualityfood.
price 4/5 - if you think about it it's fairly priced specially if you're a group of 4-5 persons.
ambiance 4.5/5 - well decorated and clean. first korean restaurant i encountered with good ambiance.
