food 5, ambience 5, price 4, service 4: it’s a solid 4.5. so far, it’s probably the best korean restaurant we’ve experienced. what we loved about the menu is the availability of cheaper cuts to the more expensive cuts. so if you are scared of the usual samgyupsal fatty cuts, go for the more expensive ones to really enjoy the food. don’t come here just to order the cheap korean all you can eat cuts. but even when we ordered the more expensive cuts, it felt like a buffet. we ate all the barbecues and took home the japche, beef stew, and beef ribs soup. the servings are indeed generous. as for the price, you have to pay for quality cuts. theplacewas clean and not stuffy despite everyone cooking. as for service, it took a while to be served and a friendlier cook would have been better. anyway, it was a busy lunch. but overall experience was great and worth returning to.

definitely the bestplaceto satisfy your korean food cravings. masil has the best marinated meats + cuts! their price is higher than your usual go-to unli samgyupsal restos, but surely worth it.

in my other food reviews, i mentioned that i judge a korean resto by their appetizers. masil passed with flying colors. i highly recommend the following dishes: samgyupsal, bulgogi, sundubu jjigae and their cold noodles. a+! i cap off my meal by grabbing a melona ice cream. another rare 5/5 review!

of all the korean restaurants we’ve been to, this is the onlyplacethat my parents love so much. the staff were all nice, very friendly crew and security. the manager is very hands on too. such a nice experience to dine here every time. will always visit whenever we are craving for kbbq.

ps: i hope you’ll include more korean dishes or snacks sooner (tteokbokki, ramyeon, jjajangmyeon, etc)

so far one the best korean restos in town! they were generous with the appetizers. the waiters were all polite and accomodating. the manager/owner is also courteous. the kimchi didnt taste as fresh&good as before its a bit stingy. the cold noodles were delicious. masil's beef bulgogi, the bestseller, was superb! whereas their bestseller pork was just fine. their free soup and free steamed egg was a delight!. their rice became hard wish they would use the softer korean jap kind of rice instead. we missed their free korean tea&coffee dispenser near the entrance/exit. although their korean ice cream freezer up front is quite tempting. theplaceis clean& pretty ambience although their sofa seats need to be repaired. nevertheless, its always lovely eating at masil! aplaceto bring family& friends. worth the trip.

i love going to thisplacewhenever i feel like eating gimbap. they have the best. their variety of side dishes is astonishing. it changes every time we eat here and you'll be full by the side dishes alone. 😂 we also usually order haemul pajeon (seafood pancake). their dolsot bibimbap (bibimbap in hotpot) is very good especially when the rice gets scorched. highly recommended. it's best to have reservation during lunch or dinner time because theplaceusually gets full and has a long line of waiting list.

when we went at this branch in tiendesitas theplacewas really packed and busy but that didn't stop the waiters and waitresses to attend to our needs. they were very attentive and friendly. excellent management.

we ordered a bunch of meat, beef stew and pajeon and everything tasted really good. they were the ones who cooked for us which was great. the meat was really of high quality and the taste of their beef stew was very rich. plus, there were a lot of delicious sides that you can refill for two to three times.

i also like how they designed theplacewherein they have dividers so people can spend time and talk minding their own business. it's family friendly and kid friendly. the money is very worth it for the excellent food and service that you'll be having. i think what makes a dining experience great is not only the great food that you'll be served with but most importantly how the restaurant owners and staff treats the clients, which in this case, they did an awesome job!

our go to korean restaurant. thisplaceoffers authentic korean barbecue as well as traditional korean dishes. ban chans are refillable and delish especially the salad with banana dressing, kimchi, steamed egg and the soup. the waiters will cook the meat for you. must try are the following: dolsot bibimbap, galbi jim, korean barbecues, of course and jap chae.

come early during dinner or you have to wait before you get seated.

i was out with my friends and we decided to eat here. we were not disappointed. everything was excellent!
the food is awesome and the veggies are fresh. the staff are polite and attentive. cleanplacewith nice ambiance. awesome experience.

🐽 food: i love the chadol-bagi beef strips. if you order meat, it comes with the different appetizers and veggies already. i love their dolsot bibimbap too. the steamed egg is the best! it’s making me crave as i type this. haha for dessert, they offer a variety of korean ice cream. melona - melon flavor is my favorite. masil is my favorite korean restaurant in manila.

🍴ambiance: goodplacefor families and group of friends. it will entice you to eat (and talk) a lot!

👫 service: servers will cook the meat in front of you. you have the option to have it cooked in the kitchen. serving time is very quick!

💸 price: value for money. meals are good for sharing.

my favorite koreanplacein town! but they have minimum order for banchan refills and allows only up to 2 refills thats why i only gave 4 stars. but quality of meat and food are the best. the ambiance is also very clean and upscale compared to other korean restaurants around 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

masil in tiendesitas gets really busy even for an early dinner so be ready to wait for a table. it just shows how popular this korean bbqplaceis.

things to like about masil and this branch...

1. easy parking. you have the whole tiendesitas to park in. eventhough the oranbo branch has free parking, it gets full. so if you don't mind the php40 parking fee, go to this branch.

2. they were serving iced sweet plum tea for those waiting for their table. patience is a virtue.

3. all of their banchan sidedishes are very good. then you get dishes of steamed egg and tofu chili soup.

4. service is fast! they have to do this for a fast turn-over of tables.

5. get the bbq meats! we always get the sam gyeop sal (pork belly, php330) and chadol bagi (beef brisket, php390). 

6. keep the charcoal grill on low heat after they cook the meats. don't let them take it yet. it's good to have it to reheat the meats right before you wrap or eat them.

7. order the jokbal, pork leg cooked like a patatim, served cold and sliced/deboned. they serve this with thinly sliced fruits and vegetables and a spicy mustard dressing.

their samgyupsal had this soft yet chewy texture. the slice was a bit thicker compared to other samgyupsals i have eaten before so it was surprising to have that texture from that kind of cut. it was also charcoal grilled so the flavor had this very strong grilled flavor - if that makes any sense 😅 we also ordered the budae jigae - their sausage stew with ramen noodles and unlike other korean ramens i have had, their level of spiciness was fixed so you will have a “burnt” tongue from eating their ramen whether you like spicy food or not. and i did not like their sausage btw, it had this cheap feel to it. it tasted like it was all texturized vegggie protein and not sausage-like.

price: ⭐️⭐️
for the samgyupsal, ok price and appropriate for the quantity. for the ramen, it was quite expensive - 800 for a pot! it only had a single serving of noodle and like i said above, the sausage was not worth that kind of amount.
oh, the banchans can be refilled maximum twice only. the lettuce leaves were not even allowed for refill which was a bit of a letdown given that the meat was quite a big serving. meat>lettuce, not balance

atmosphere: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
just a bit crowded interior but still a very cosyplacewith comfortable chairs and table, adequate exhausts, very good lighting, clean restrooms, nice waiting area. good ambience overall.

service:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
like all korean restos i have been into, most of the owners are hands-on on their businesses and it was quite nice actually to be welcomed by an authentic korean into their restaurant. of course, there were the polite waiters and waitresses as well who will cook your order on your table (minimum 2 for grilling orders), serve and refill banchans, take your photo, and will then bill you 🤣

we got the set b for four people with 4 variants of beef. i cannot remember the exact details, but their quality of beef meat is superb and exceeded expectations. they were tasty and cooked well (by their servers as well).

the chapchae that came with the set was very flavorful, medyo may lagkit ‘yung noodles which had the flavor to make it a winner. soup was great as well, a bit sour but with the spicy kick.

the beef soup with bones (looks like adobo) is a winner! very tender and flavorful, tastes like the best korean-style beef brisket!

just, give thisplacea chance!

one of my favorites. been eating here since when they were still at home depot j vargas. foods are delicious,placeis well lit and clean. price is reasonable though they will only refill your banchan twice. eat your fave grill with their cold tea. 👌🏻👌🏻
