after eating pho up the road hubby was still hungry so we stopped at this place as this joint also had a line up lol and well it was really nice. we got the pork roll which was $5 - no eftpos and we shared it and well it was really nice. definitely recommend it

no idea why this is rated as high. after one bite- did not wanted to eat it at all. my husband ate his - and got sick after that. refused to go out for viet completely since then.

the quintessential standard in how all pork rolls should be measured and based against. this institute of the humble pork roll ranks as the best in sydney by me and other news sources, and for good reason. good price, heavy on the filling and delicious.
the mix of the pickled vegetables and salty meats, undertones of soy sauce are in a crispy french baguette. amazing.

so good they opened up another one opposite marrickville station, which offers other kinds of pork rolls such as crispy pork roll which good crackling to satisfy pork lovers.


the marrickville is very lucky to have 2 shops in the same area. 😍😍😍

best pork rolls i’ve ever tried. can’t recommend it enough.
friendly staff. they over fill the buns and it’s fresh.

my absolute favourite banh mi place in sydney. the rolls are always crispy and fresh, there is plentiful meat (bbq pork is my go to), salad, pate, mayo and sauce. you cannot argue about the price ($5) and the service has always been quick when i have visited even when there has been a line down the street. parking is pretty decent around marrickville as well so makes its a good spot to grab lunch and keep going.

absolutely wonderful! the best pork roll in sydney~ this is one of the pork roll place i keep on coming back to on a fortnightly bases~ i’ve tried all most every different flavour and my favour is bbq pork and the off the menu special ham roll~ with out the fatty pork in it!

wonderful pork rolls! the meatball roll is also great. they absolutely deserve their stellar reputation.

i used to struggle to find a place to sit and eat these, and then i discovered a shaded outdoor seating near the post office down the road which is a great spot to enjoy these delicious pork rolls.

already lining up on an early weekend morning for some $5 rolls which were filled generously with your choice of meats. flavours were good with a chili kick. definitely will go back for the value and quality.

definitely a good pork roll! pate and filling however bread needs to be more crunchy to avoid it from being soggy. however worth trying @moziie

i’m not a big pork eater but i do eat chicken and when i feel like a chicken roll i definitely head to marrickville. the constant queue outside this tiny hole on the wall is a testimony to just how great the rolls are.

amazing ! best chicken roll i’ve ever had for such a good price. there’s no other place that does the best rolls as gold as marrickville pork roll.

this place is always popular! it’s a big bread with a lot of stuff it in. it’s hard to bite the bread as it is big... but tasty! if i feel like i want to eat pork or chicken rolls, i tend to come here!

first time coming to this side of sydney, so of course i had to drop by for some of these pork rolls. even in the morning at around 7:30am, there was a tiny queue which started to form behind us, so i can only imagine how long the lines are at around lunch time. . i hardly ever have this sort of stuff so i can't really comapre-i think maybe 2nd one this year? according to a viet friend, it's pretty decent. i though it was quite nice and loaded with heaps of fresh veggies and toppings, and not overly salty with the liver pate/added salt etc. roll still had a slight crunch/crust and wasn't tough to bite into either. it's probably one of the bigger ones i've had, since in my area, there are non authentic banh mi's which are smaller and cost more.

the best pork roll i've ever had in my life (i've been eating ones from cabramatta since i could walk). this is about the closest you can get to the most perfect pork roll in sydney.

let's start with the bun, a typically overlooked but crucially essential part. a good one is fresh and crispy on the outside while being soft on the inside, yet not overly hard. they have it spot on.

the pate and mayo spread is mouthwateringly rich, smooth and savoury. savour the bits that have it spread in excess. (tip - you can also buy their pate in a take home tub... you're welcome).

the veggies are crispy and fresh, the shredded carrots are pickled to perfection.

the sliced meats are a great accompaniment that add to the body of the pork roll. i particularly love that the red pork is shredded so that it is always with you with each bite (some other places just put in the whole strip that too easily gets dragged out with a bite). 5/5 for thoughtfulness.

the sauce just tops it off. it is no ordinary soy sauce, it is reminiscent of a roast duck flavoured soy sauce typically found from chinese butchers.

a sign of a good place is a line up of people outside willing to wait. you're lucky if there's no line, but if there is it will move and you'll be at the front in no time. the place is tiny, it's take away only. just know, they do one thing and do it well.

5/5. it doesn't get better than this.

we all got pork rolls here. there was a long line but it moved fast. the 3 ladies in the shop coordinated so well. price is cheap. food is super yummy. there’s a smokey taste in the pate/meat that other places don’t offer. very fresh salad as well.
parking around this area can be difficult esp lunch time on a weekend, so be prepared.
