i enjoyed my time. even though the power went out but they still managed to make an awesome meal. the atmosphere and the environment was just right.

market is a true gem. i had a birthday brunch here and could not have asked for a better location. the staff was so accommodating and the food was divine. make sure you allocate a decent amount of time to perusing the menu, as it has so many great breakfast options.

a very cute and quirky spot in durban. the ambiance is lovely and so relaxing especially when seated outside by the fountain. i had the duck salad...which was👌🏽 and some freshly squeezed pineapple juice. this is a definite must go when around morningside

first of all! please excuse my tardiness as i forgot to take pictures of our lovely food while visiting market over the weekend , i'm from joburg so it was my first time there and i was blown away! it's a little hidden piece of heaven that welcomes you with fairy lights and a lovely alfresco setting , our waitress was lovely, food was great and honestly the only reason i'm not giving this place a 5 is because you have to go through the kitchen to go to the toilets which are incredibly small. otherwise, if u find urself in this area it's a must try! i had the chicken tagliatelle pasta & my husband had the beef burger , both lovely in flavour.

a hidden gem oozing with ambience, tucked away in a romantic garden setting. the food was delicious as well as nicely portioned, which is seldom the case in a classy setting. this is the kind of intimate charm you’d want on a date or anniversary.

the good food was overshadowed by the terrible service. the waiters have a really bad attitude. they think they doing you a favour by serving you.

decided to go to market to celebrate our anniversary. we were greeted in a friendly manner and seated outside at a wonderfully quaint table. market has an exceptionally beautiful outdoor setting. our waiter was perfect, and cool, calm and collected under pressure. the food arrive promptly. the only drawback for the evening was the blandness of the food. i can’t really put my finger on it, but i expected more flavour from the food ordered. presentation was good... just no standout taste.

this used to be one of my favorite spots in durban but the food standards were very average on my last visit. we tried the seafood risotto and seafood chowder and both were heavily laden with cream. there was more of a gratin than seafood taste.

pretty cool restaurant, situated in a cool garden, especially on a hot day. great service, tasty food & really good coffee! one place you should visit when you’re in durban.

i've been to this restaurant several times, but the last visit was disappointing at all levels. service was veeeeeerrrrryyy slow. food was average. patrons under dressed and noisier than usual. a few unsavoury types got too drunk and spilt over the road twerking and videoing themselves. it seems as if something significant has changed: ownership? management? sadly, this will hv been my last visit. end of an era...

this hidden gem is really a cool spot on a late saturday afternoon or sunday brunch. the food never disappoints and they make this chocolate brownie which is soooo good.

a nice spot for that trendy organic market type vibe that most establishments are gravitating towards. it's decor and ambience are typical of the earthy rustic feel, all of which makes for a pleasant experience. the setting reminds me of 44 on stanley in joberg but alas most hipster places these days will be atypical of "the grass is green, the sun is warm".

was there briefly for a business breakfast meeting so made the conversation amongst colleagues quite warm. opted for pouched eggs in a decadent tomato gravy mixed with mild spices. was quite delicious whilst downing a freshly squeezed oj.

on the whole enjoyed the experience of being there and would certainly return to sample their lunch or dinner menu.

really enjoyed my brunch experience at market. came on a sunday afternoon & was left with no disappointments. i opted for the full house breakfast stack which was delicious. very filling & made to perfection. the actual restaurant is very pretty & i'm obsessed with the set up and decor. the prices are also very pocket friendly. only complaint i have is that the service was slow at times, but i would definitely come back next time i'm in durban.
