we went to mancy's with high expectations, but they were anything but met. for starters, the water isn't even drinkable. that made me worry about the rest of our meal, wondering how they could possibly cook anything decent with it. surprisingly, the shrimp cocktail was fine. it included four large shrimp and some cocktail sauce. i can't say that the shrimp was all that flavorful but they were cooked right and we're fresh with good texture. i had the manhattan clam chowder, which was very flavorful and the best part of our meal. my husband had the crab and corn chowder, which was barely warm and not very good at all. the other complaint regarding the soups is that for $6 and $7 respectively, they were tiny little bowls. i ordered the market salad with a side of blackenedsalmonand my husband had the seafood cioppino. i couldn't even eat the salad, the fruit on top (all one strawberry and three blueberries) weren't fresh and the green goddess dressing was not good at all. they did take the salad off the bill because i didn't eat it, which was nice and i didn't ask for them too, but it was greatly appreciated. my husband's meal was "just ok" and one of the mussels had the aftertaste of abscess (sorry to be so graphic but that's what it tasted like). the blackenedsalmonwas very good, although i think a high end restaurant should actually offer wild caught pacificsalmonrather than atlanticsalmon(which i usually never order but nothing else really appealed to me on the menu). all that being said, the service was good and the atmosphere was nice. we would definitely not go back though.

melt in your mouth fish. the maple bourbonsalmonwas the best i've ever had. it had a wonderful, buttery flavor that just melted in your mouth.
the grilled ahi tuna and the del monico steak were pretty good too.

the food is quite good, the calamari and the steak tips definitely my favourites, the fish was ok, to be honest i’ve had bettersalmonin england, and the portions are small which is not usual in the us.

fantastic!!!. another great experience at the bluewater grille. the food and ambience is absolutely amazing. there are so many touches that the bluewater grille has that no other restaurant in toledo can compete with.

the wine list is a progressive wine list so that it's nearly impossible to pair the wrong wine with your entree. i love the clos du val cabernet sauvignon! i haven't been able to find this vintage at any restaurant in the area so it is such a treat. the autumn menu really reflects the season like the maple bourbonsalmonand the pumpkin swordfish. such innovative flavors!

i admit that i was reading some of the previous comments made, and i can only believe that these are just people that can't be made happy. the bluewater grille is such a phenomenol restaurant, of course there would be people that would be jealous of their success and menu offerings. when style, class, taste and overall guest experience surpasses competitors, it is bound upset those that wish to imitiate what the bluewater grille has to offer.

my suggestion: try the steak tips au poivre. the blue cheese cream sauce is heaven. for your salad, the caesar salad with anchovies is a must. entree selection is a hard one since there is so much to choose from. i highly recommend the bbq glazed chilean sea bass. the bbq sauce really makes the sea bass melt in your mouth. and for dessert, the key lime pie, hands down.

i would love to hear what your favorite combination is!

overpriced, undervalued. went for a business luncheon with clients, and was embarrassed by the poor quality of the food and the poor service. waitress was an airhead witrh an attitude, took forever to bring the appetizers and the main course. asked me how i wanted mysalmoncooked, broght me an over-cooked slab of rot. never checked back to see how things were. awful. you can do a lot better in the area for a lot less $, a lot less pretention, and a lot better food.

best restaurant in toledo!. love bluewater grille! the best seafood in toledo! the lobster bisque soup is always my favorite, along with the crab cakes and maple bourbonsalmonserved on stuffed raviolis. and of course, you will find the best wine selection in town.
