we had originally stopped by the english pie company but the desserts didn't look great. we then went to the byrd cookie company but they had already closed (but other stores were still open and the market still had tons of people walking around). so, we found mabel's cupcake emporium- and we are glad we did! the girl behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. the famous mabel and confetti cupcakes were delicious- they were so moist they melted in your mouth and the icing wasn't hard or thick- rather like sweet and airy. themacaroonswere perfect- the only othermacaroonsthat we have had that were better were from boston, ma. the blueberry croissant was incredible. go here.
