mabel's cupcake emporium

unremarkable. i visited this cupcake shop once and will never return. i recall a tip jar with some sort of nasty shaming message on it right in front of the register. give me a break. you get a tip for placing my cupcakes in aboxand taking my order? terrible service, ironically, for a place aiming for tips.

different strokes for different folks.... was visiting savannah and i try cupcakes anywhere i go, but these were the worst. i had the key lime, almond joy, mabel's (who's old fashion birthday cake???) and red velvet. not really cream cheese, icing too sweet on others, tasted likeboxcakes; no boxed cakes taste better and dude working was uninformative, very short and just ready to make a sale. didn't notice there were no cupcake dividers so cupcakes ruined when i reached destination. waste to time and $$ but presentation simple and appears appealing but they look way better than they taste.

little disappointing.... we sampled 4: classic yellow buttercream (good), chocolate carmel buttercream (not as good as you'd think), strawberry lemonade (refreshing), and my favorite...almond with pistachio buttercream. the disapointment was that that the woman behind the counter took a phone call order over ours when we were waiting and she smooched our 4 cupcakes in a tinyboxwhich was probably more appropriate for 2! presentation is just as important as taste when you talk cupcakes!!! the shop is cute from the outside, although the flag is a bit faded, but inside you'd expect to see just lovely cupcakes and there is all this touristy junky stuff...
this place is worth it if you are in the area and want some sweets, bit its not a fairytale place!

disappointing. after a warm welcome and a nice chat with the staff member on duty, we made four selections. these included the peanut butter cookie cup, the autumn special, the heath bar crunch cookie cup and the pink lemonade cupcake. first of all, i was competely underwhelmed when i opened the smallboxto find the too large cupcakes crammed into it, two on their sides, and with the icing on the two left standing all messed up. surely you can afford a larger box! i started with the peanut butter cookie cup which needs more peanut butter flavor, perhaps crunchy peanut butter. the overwhelmingly noticable aspect of this item is oil. i was left with an oily film on my lips and in my mouth and i did not like it. now, on a better note, i really do love the taste of autumn, even with its now malformed icing smeared all over the cupake paper. one thing i know; when it comes to food so much of its success is about presentation. they looked pretty in the case and horrible in theboxwith which you sent us off. pity.
