would go here, over and over again! i love sitting by the bar so you can stare creepily at thestaffputting together all the ingredients. the smell is amazing.

loved this place for dinner and would come back here again soon. the meals were fantastic, thestaffare friendly and the bar inside makes a great set-up for this place.

despite having a reservation for four people tonight, we were led into a table that had 3 place seatings, little did we know this would be a precursor for the rest of the night.
this wouldn’t have been much of a concern if one of your waitresses by the name of ‘caitlyn’ (blond hair tied up in a bun and wearing glasses) hadn’t been so rude the entire service.
not only did she rudely interject mid order because ‘we were speaking into our menus’ and apparently not loudly or clearly enough for her liking as she had not so kindly informed us by reenacting how we were ordering.
we also did not receive the dumplings that we had ordered (that she in fact recommended to us). when we mentioned this upon seeing it on the bill she then proceeded to rudely tell us that even though she didn’t see what we had on the table ‘we definitely received it but she’ll take it off the bill ‘just this once’ after checking with the kitchen (despite having a minimum of 3staffbring out dishes and drinks to us throughout the night).
only after asking for her name did she then apologize and carry on about how much she didn’t mean for it to come out like that.
great cocktails, decent food, shitty service making everything else incredibly overrated.

lucy liu has an array of delicious asian foods on offer, with a relaxed vibe alongside great food, you are sure to have a great experience at lucy liu.staffare very accomodating to dietary requirements and are able to make significant adjustments to menu items to please the customer which is fantastic. thestaffwere friendly and accomodating, easy going and are able to have friendly conversations with customers which makes the experience more enjoyable. all of the food ordered was amazing and super filling! our favourite dish of the night was the chicken bao buns! they were so good, we had to order another serve!! we left feeling very satisfied! thanks team! :)

one of my best go to eat places, love the atmosphere, thestaffare fantastic and the food is amazing, apart from everything you’ll love their in house stake and their large selection of drinks
can’t fault them, way too good and well worth the prices.

we ordered 2x jasmine rice but thestafffailed to mention one of the mains had rice with it. so we had extra rice and that we wouldn’t have been able to finish. it was good they didn’t charge us for the extra portion.
soft shell crab - jianbing was the best i’ve ever tried. the sauce worked so well. and the roti that came with the lamb shoulder was so flaky and delicious.

i’ve been here twice and the food is great but service was a let down this time. we knew we only had the table for 1.45 hrs but the whole time we felt rushed withstaffconstantly coming over to ask how we were ‘tracking’. they gave us the bill without us asking and looked annoyed when we ordered dessert. thestaffwere slow initially taking our order and should have asked us in advance if we wanted dessert so it could be delivered prior to our vacate time. we left annoyed, which ruined our dinner unfortunately.

food was so average for the prices. unfortunately had much better dumplings at my local chinese takeaway at a fraction of the price and much larger servings. all the food was very underwhelming and the service was the worst part. everyone looked like they didn’t want to be there and the man serving our table was very unpleasant. he would stand over us waiting for us to finish a dish or a drink to take it away. this didn’t encourage us to order more but rather to get out of there. he kept making sarcastic comments to us throughout the night about how long we took to choose something off the menu or eat something. very uncomfortable, couldn’t wait to leave. it took ages to get the bill so tried to go up to pay and was told off by anotherstaffmember. don’t know why this place is so popular, we left to go to elsewhere for dessert being so put off by the service. when there are so many other amazing restaurants in melbourne, i wouldn’t come back.

great place. brilliant vibe. totally melbourne-sque. hadn’t planned to have dinner here and granted, we were there early. but the floorstafffound us a seat without a booking. food was brilliant. every dish was as surprising as the next. stand outs were the pork bun, nam khao tod (probably the dish of the night) and wowsers-the banana fritter! short rib was great. there were a couple of mistakes by floorstaffeg forgot to tell us how to prepare the short rib, small mistake on the bill and it took a while to get staffs attention when we walked in. but all overridden by the great food! and bill mistake was happily corrected. one of my favorites for sure atm. oh and the q reader option to see pics of the menu is brilliant!

ok so first of all, i can 100% day the best meal i have had in a very long time. the service is incredible, they do have vegan options but i would like to see a few more. the tofu was so soft and delicate, thestaffwere so welcoming and made everything fun and personalised which is a massive plus for me. the dumplings were just awesome! the mocktails were delicious! i could not ask for much more ❤️❤️ thank you pj :)

had a great dining experience at lucy liu! delicious asian fusion dishes - recommend the turmeric cauliflower and the barramundi & scampi dumplings! the papaya salad was also good but not that refreshing as it is extremely hot! go for a side of smashed cucumber instead if you are not a fan of hot chilli. the service was excellent andstaffvery friendly. sat at the bar as they were really busy (went on a saturday night) but the ambience was still great.

great atmosphere, had to wait nearly an hour for a table butstaffwere great, seated at the bar to wait. cocktails were great and great selection of drinks.

food was exceptional! the pork was to die for and definitely for 2 people to share.

staff were very prompt with service and acted very quickly.

would definitely recommend.

took my partner here for his birthday! he was overly happy about the choice, as was i! the food was delicious; particularly the dumplings! the atmosphere and decor inside was perfect, and thestaffwere amazing! super kind and helpful. on the pricier side, however you get what you pay for! definitely will be back again very soon.
