disappointing. after reading mostly solid reviews thought we'd give it go. environment 8/10, funky clean design, good service. food 4/10. started well with tofu, good flavours and textures. followed by tempura prawn in betal leaf, again, sold. then came chilli chicken ribs. not sure where they got 'chilli' from as we couldn't find any evidence of any flavour and they were super oily. we couldn't eat them all they were so bad. pork belly; flavour ok; execution..not great; fat hadn't sufficiently rendered down like you'd expect for well cooked belly. we both picked at it and left most of it. asian greens fine, main course duck; sauce had a great flavour, meat itself was tender, skin was not crispy at all / very fatty / chewy, but the killer on this was salt. it was the saltiest dish i think i've ever had. it pervaded the meat fully, if you just ate the meat with no sauce it was only salt that you could taste. again, we left most of this dish (and i 'love' duck so hugely disappointed). so, very rare for me; i'd normally try a second time with a different dish selection; but not here; there are just too many great asian fusion places in the city to take another punt on what is fairly pricey fare, for a very ordinary experience.
