best chinese food ever!!!!!!!!!!!. hands down! this is the best place to eat- you can take your famiy or a date. it's such a great friendly place! they also deliver!

fresh, friendly, flavorful!. it is hard to find a good chinese food restaurant west of redwood road, but lucky chen does a good job! food is fresh, the employees are friendly, and the menu is flavorful. favorites include ham fried rice and chicken chow mein (crunchy noodles or soft noodles). give it a try!

disgusting. got take out here for the first and last time. the sweet and sour chicken was cut up so all the breading fell off. it was very over cooked, the breading was hard and crunchy and the chicken dry. don't waste your time here.

this was the worst place i have ever been to! not worth the money. i got there at 4 and was greeted with water at 4:15. all she said was are you ready? and handed us water. we didn't get food until 4:40. my chow mein looked like mush. and the kids meal i ordered to go couldn't get soup because the kid wasn't dining in. plus all the workers were sitting around not helping anyone. not worth it.

good food. if you liked magic wok it is the same food as they had there. it is really good americanized chinese food. the only downside is the prices, plan on at least $40-50 for two people. i'd go there a lot more if it was priced more reasonably. still the best chinese food restaurant in the area by far.

rave. the food and the cook, john, are both excellent. the prices are very reasonable. the presentation of the plates is very appetizing. children are welcome. i don't know of a better restaurant to eat chinese food.

i love this place but they need to expand their dining area. we have been eating here since they opened and kind of miss the old days when we were the only ones here. now they get really busy which i guess is a good thing since it means they will be around for awhile but darn i hate not being able to get a table.

never again!. my husband and i have been wanting to try out lucky chen for quite some time now and we were sooooo bummed with the outcome. we opted for delivery and they were 30 minutes longer than they quoted us and the food just wasnt good. it really had no flavor and the chicken seemed like nothing but breading and not to mention the portions were sooo small - usually when you order chinese you always plan on left overs because there is so much food, well i am sad to say we had left overs only because we didnt like it! we ordered one of the dinners for 2 which was $17 and than added a side of seaseme chicken and a cup of egg drop soup and our total was just under $50 dollars! we expected it to be the best we ever had considering the price and boy were we wrong! stay clear of this place! i dont believe they will be in business long!

awful customer service !!!. last night my friend and i went to lucky chen having always wanted to try it. it always smells soooo good so we were finally like "lets go !!!" . so we get there and as soon as we walk in you could tell that the lady at the front kinda has an attitude, but she hadn't said or done anything yet. so we start to order our food and upon ordering we decide we only want half orders of the ham fried and shrimp fried rice. well the shrimp fried doesn't come half order so we cancel the ham fried and just get the shrimp, but then my friend is like " no lets go ahead and get both. so the young man taking our order repeats everything back to us including both rices. no problem...until we get home and there is no shrimp fried rice. so we call and explain that a part of our order is missing. the lady who was up front when we initially walked in ( and was standing there the whole time our order was being taken.) answers. she tells us that we weren't charged for the shrimp fried rice, but we explain that it was half our meal and that we'd still like it. she then proceeds to tell us (after trying to convince us that we canceled the shrimp fried rice when we know for a fact we never did) that despite the fact that they deliver we must go pick it up even though it was their fault. she caught major attitude with us on the phone (which is a huge mistake to make with my friend and i given that we both work in customer service and are sticklers about it) so having not taken a single bite we took it all back , got a refund and went to another chinese restaurant right around the corner from our house that had friendlier staff, better prices, and better food !!!. lucky chen not only had to throw away $30 worth of food, but they also lost 2 customers because we know alot of people who eat there. i've heard the food at luck chen is good...it sure looked and smelled good, but i'll never know and don't really care to.

wonderful food at a good price. i followed the owner of lucky chen when he left another chinese resturant. hes fantastic cook! thanks lucky chen keep up good work. plus he delivers to my home now.

-1 stars. the food had poor quality. the beef pepper steak had a bad taste to it. it's basically a serving of a bunch of peppers, some tomato chunks and some pieces of dry beef. the shrimp with lobster sauce is not what it sounds like. it's actually just a wattery egg flour soup with no flavor, dry pork and some shrimp in it. either the food has decieving names and descriptions, or the people that work here give bad service. i don't know why 93% of people reccomend this garbage. i read a review and people said very nice things about this place, so we decided to try it. when we took the first bite, we ended up regretting it. the price is definitely not worth it. you'd have to pay me to eat at this place again. i give it a negative 1 star rating.

i rarely taste chinese food that is just “average”.  it is normally really good, or it is really bad.  i think that just comes with the nature of chinese food.  bad chinese food can be really greasy, and bland, but if done right,

we love this place!. i'm not from slc originally, so it has been hard for me to find chinese food that i like. luckily, we found lucky chen... not only is the food delicious, but the service is great -- plus they deliver. our family orders in twice a month. we highly recommend them.

ok but not great. small menu, and over priced for the quality. orange chicken was very small strips of chicken that were extremely dry and had mountains of breading on them. the sauce was great though. the low mien was extremely greasy like the egg rolls. the egg rolls appeared to be wrapped, then dipped in a heavy batter before frying.

san sauce is fairly close to lucky chen, and is a much better quality of "cheap" americanized chinese food.

i don't think i will get food there again, it just wasn't worth the price

oh yummy heaven. oh this is a wonderful liittle joint stuck in a strip mall. the food is always delicious, hot and fast! they are really attentive and wonderful there. i ordered this once for work and all of the guys were just raving about how delicious the food was.
they deliver so that is a huge plus for the days that the babysitter is watching the kids.
chicken noodles, almond chicken, spring rolls and ham fried rice are the best. yummy!!
