dine...no. drink...yes.. ate there 3 times now...each time, terrible food. i wanted to like this place because i loved the atmosphere but as far as food....avoid at all costs! i'm sure dif ppl have dif opinions but i on the other hand am a pro at dining out. been to pretty much every restaurant in a 200 mile radius & loxley's would be on the bottom of my list. they need to seriously focus more on food quality before i would ever consider dining there again. as far as the bar...can't go wrong. i do know someone who works there & she is a major bit#@ (e.s.) so i wouldn't be surprised if those who had rude service happened to have her.

we arrived around 8 with 2 other couples, that made 6 people combined. i ordered the crab and corn bisque, it tasted like cream corn and heavy cream, it was so gross. i am still waiting for my food and it has been an hour and still no food. most of us ordered soup as our meal and 1 person ordered nachos and the other a burger, they can't get that order out any faster than an hour? we also noticed that other people who arrived later than us are getting there food before us. good place to drink for all ages not a good place to eat.

same 4 musicians. you have a nice variety on your menu, how about expanding your music menu. we're really tired of hearing the typical strummy jimmy buffet guy.

have eaten for 2 thanksgivings here. food choices are all really good. there's traditional fare and other selections. it's difficult to not end up waddling out for being so full. it's been a treat to have such fantastic food on thanksgiving at a restaurant.

family of 5 went for dinner on sunday (all adults).  service was incredibly slow, and most of the entrees were cold and inedible. the food tasted bad.  brought out wrong courses to us and had to pick back up off of table and give to the folks beside us.  cost $140.  waitress asked what was wrong and we told her . . .  she said sorry and slapped the bill on the table.  never again.

beautiful eveving for open air dining. ruined by substandard dining experience. server gone for long periods. inattentive to say the least. side salad took one half hour to appear at table. entree another 20-30 minutes. ordered half rack of ribs. only food item that was at proper temperature was cole slaw. i requested the bill early since i expected delays in finding her again. my dissatisfaction was purposely expressed in my voice and server had manager bring bill to table. i was offered a sparse discount on my next visit... like that will ever happen... which is a pity as i live so close. advice: stay away. there are better dining options available.

we went for dinner and it was less than impressive. the menu changes so if you see something online you'd like, i suggest giving them a call because they probably won't have it. the chicken was dry and ribs were almost inedible due to the mass amounts of fat that were on them. although they did compensate us for some, it's not worth the money to take a chance on having this awful of a dinner again.

robin would be proud.. loxley's has the most amazing outdoor seating area of any restaurant in lancaster county. it has a great view, and a nice feel to it. they just added a massive upgrade to their outdoor bar area and now have 30 different beers on tap. they expanded the upstairs deck (that's right it's a two-tier deck) area and added more covered seating available now. so for those looking for a nice dining experience outside, loxley's has got you covered.

now let's talk about inside. the interior of the restaurant has a really nice feel to it as well with lots of exposed wood, trimming, and glass work. very suiting for the "loxley" name. they have a bar inside with tvs as well as seating around the bar area with individual tvs at each table (which someone mentioned before as a detractor for a date night location). they also have banquet rooms for parties and lots of seating on the other half of the restaurant away from the bar that would be better suited to "date night" as it's quiet and cozier. so whether you want indoor or outdoor seating for dates or parties, loxley's can offer it to you.

of course if you wanted to see pretty things, you'd go to a museum or art gallery, so let's get on to food. loxley's, unlike chain restaurants, employs a chef. a legitimate, actual, chef. their menu changes throughout the year as new items are added and old ones removed. they have fantastic burgers, delicious pastas, and savory seafood (though i personally don't eat it, but my girlfriend raves about theirs). there's a variety of tasty options on their menu for all tastes and the prices are fair and on par with most chain restaurants. they have a full service bar, and tons of options for beer alongside a drink menu with some deliciously interesting concoctions like the rootbeer moat and archer's arrow. that about covers the food and drink options, so let's talk about how they get to your table.

the staff at loxley's have always been friendly and professional to my friends, family, and myself when we've been there. they're also not afraid to play so for those of you like myself who like to be sarcastic and toy with your servers, they will indeed give it as good as they get in my experience.

all things considered, loxley's has a little something for everyone, and why shouldn't they? they are attached to the hotel after all. i don't think they have an identity crisis as some have mentioned. i think they want to make sure that whether you're on a date, just looking to eat, kicking back under the stars, or having a small party; they have what you need. to top it all off, loxley's chooses 3 charities each month (they change) to host as part of their "legend continues" program where you select one charity at the end of the night and they will donate a percentage of their profits from your check to that charity. to reiterate, they give their share of your money to the charity on your behalf. so you can get the feelgoods and all you have to do is eat food.

lastly, no i don't work at loxley's. it just happens to be my favorite restaurant in lancaster county, and with good reason.

last monday was the start of our stay-cation and my girlfriends and i, along with our 6 rowdy children, came to loxleys before the hands on house. the hostess prepared our table quickly and everyone was so nice. our waitress was the #1 reason for our amazing visit though. she was just adorable with her red hair and genuine smile. ashley was her name, (she must've made an impact for me to remember it) and she used our names as she picked them up in conversation.
she suggested putting the kids food orders in while we decided what to get from the menu where everything sounded good, since they were hungry. probably noticing that the gang couldn't sit still, ashley welcomed us to look around on the upstairs deck- showing the kids the adorable tree houses!
what happened when our adult food came out was what blew my girlfriends and me away- she offered to take the gang around the corner to feed the fish so that we could enjoy our lunches in peace! if you have children, you understand why we greatly appreciated those 10 quiet-time minutes!!
then, when we made a special request for something to keep our leftovers in... ashley made a temporary cooler with ice and grocery bags. not only was she interested in helping us while we were there but she cared about us afterwards and that's truly going the extra mile. she was personable and thoughtful, one of the best waitresses i have come across.
to top this all off, 5% of our check went to a charity which we got to chose! we would like to sit on the upstairs deck next time. the kids look forward to seeing the fish and eating "sweet tater" fries! 5 star service and delicious food!!

horrible horrible service from start to finish. seated at table, gave drink order and waited twenty minutes for water & drinks (on a tuesday night- not busy), and two glasses had lipstick marks on them. food finally arrived an hour after ordering and was not all brought out at the same time. by the time the last person received her meal, the rest were no longer hot. they proceeded to repeat the same 'attention to detail' when bringing out dessert. spent 2.5 hours there on a night that wasn't busy. manager briefly stopped by after the lipstick stained glasses and said "he'd take care of us". well... never happened. absolutely ridiculous service and will not recommend or even go back. food was pretty good, that was the only positive.

this resturant has downgrade since i was there only a month ago. i visit this place just yesterday. i normally go there because my company sends me there, and their breakfast buffet was disgusting. you can tell the cook doesn't know how to cook, my omlette is normally made by a friendly girl who always has a smile but yesterday there was a guy there didn't even smile or say anything. by the time my omlette was done it was burnt and runny how does someone do that. over all the buffet is disgusting.

great date night. we went just for apps and dessert. the waitress seemed a little disappointed when we told her that, probably assumed she would get a bad tip. we ordered two apps, and ended up taking some home because the portions were big. they were both very yummy, only down side is that the lettuce for the lettuce wraps was a little hard to roll. the chocolate covered cherry drink was amazing. for dessert we got the lava cake and turtle pie, both very yummy. coffee was ok, but tasted like the coffee you would make in your hotel room (assuming they use the same coffee as the hotel that is attached) and really price ($2 and change for a normal sized cup). we will try this place again when it is warm enough to sit outside.

terrible service, so so food. just had lunch at loxley's today with my in-laws. we ate out on the porch- nice setting. the food was so-so. crab and corn bisque could have been warmer. the turkey panini sandwich was supposed to be on ciabatta, but the roll was soft, like a kaiser roll. but the biggest issue was the service. three out of the four of us ordered soup- two soups arrived together, the third came about 5 minutes later. when lunch arrived, the strawberry goat cheese salad was missing the grilled chicken. three separate times someone said they would bring out the chicken. it finally arrived after everyone had finished their meal. finally, it took almost 20 minutes to get our check- we finally had to stand by the door to get someone to bring it out. we will not return.

really not impressed with the place... decor is amazing ... just wish the employees there would learn to want to wait on their tables...

if you didn't go to hempfield chances are you won't get any service considering all the idiots who work here are spoiled little brats who dont need to work in the first place...

im not hating ... just stating the facts..

next thing you know you'll have all the jersey shore idiots working there!!!

that will be fun .. not!

great atmosphere, even on a sunday. however, the salad bar was warm, the crab cakes mostly filler and the bbq pork panini seriously lacking flavor
