louie's grill & bar

fun sports bar, great views of the lake. i was here for a family birthday party on a sunny, warm sunday afternoon. the thunder were playing, so we were able to watch the game during our party. our server was attentive, and a manager came out once to ask about our meal. this is the level ofservicethat i come to expect here and at their sister franchises, e.g. charleston's and interurban.

i ordered the green chile cheeseburger. i like my burger to come out hot, and i like the cheese to be fully melted. louie's succeeded with both of those preferences. however, their bun could use some work. when the burger first came out, i thought the bun would disintegrate underneath. it didn't do that, but it was a standard foodservicewhite bun - not much character to it. they could use a more substantial brioche style bun with more chew. the burger was cooked to order, but i would rather have a hand-packed-today burger than a once-frozen patty (even if it is angus beef). my steamed veggies side was well seasoned. beyond some mushy broccoli, it tasted fine.

my wedding reception. my husband and i were finally able to get married in oklahoma and we chose louies for are small wedding reception. the food andservicewere outstanding. some of the best fish tacos i have ever ate. the staff treated us no different than a traditional married couple, with lots of congratulations and well wishes. we had a great time. thanks louies!

.....and we had a table, not with are group buy us a bottle of champagne. oklahoma surprises me every day.

raegan and erin and i had dinner here this evening after a couple scout meetings. it was pretty good. i ordered a patty melt. it had mustard and pickles on it, with the usual fried onions. it was very greasy, and started in immediately eating away the bread. i liked it. raegan fot a build your own pizza, cheese and mushrooms. it smelled good, and the slice i had tasted very good. erin got a chicken tender wrap, and ate all of it. it came with a pile of thin fries. so not bad at all.servicewas pretty attentive. the iced tea was good. our check was $29.74. my only gripe would be that the music was too loud. i wouldn’t mind going back.

let me start by saying that i don't eat pizza. i have pizza maybe once a year and that is when i'm invited to someone's house and that is what they have made or ordered. the waitstaff kept walking by with homemade pizza so i went out on a limb and ordered one to share with my wife. it was amazingly awesome. i snatched the last piece like a fat kid at a buffet. theservicewas great. the other customers were friendly and fun. we watched the thunder game while eating and drinking. an absolute great place to chill and enjoy a few beers

best place to eat on the lake. louie's is the best place to eat on the lake. at this location, unlike some of the other louie's, the food andserviceare consistently good.

frequent customer. this is my go-to lunch place if i'm in that area of town. there is something for everyone and the patio overlooking the lake is awesome. the food is always delicious and theserviceis good.

great location, ho-hum food and service. nothing really stands out here. the pizza, salads, burgers are all ok, just nothing special and the kitchen is always 25 minutes plus on tickets. and i personally hate shoestring fries, but if you like them, you will get tons. i could see going here to watch a game and have some drinks, but theserviceis so slow it makes it a constant chore. the bartenders are also pretty rude and seem have to need a manual on how to make each and every drink other than a beer. love sitting on the patio overlooking the lake in the spring and summer, though. hope management can get a solid crew in sometime.

a nice location. i like louie's. it's a nice place, with a bit of class, at where you may avoid spending a great deal and have quality, well-presented food-whether it be an evening during the week, saturday night doing what one does on saturday night, or lunch after church. the location at the lake adds the nice landscape of lake hefner into the equation. the atmosphere is cheerful and hospitable, though as probably literally every other review noted, the interior at this location is loud and incredibly so at peak periods.serviceis always impeccable. the exterior patio lends itself to pedestrians and cyclists being comfortable during the warmer parts of the year.

favorite place. the food is awesome and very well priced when two of you can go out to eat for $20 you cant beat that. yes i agree when i go there i feel like bruce almighty when he hears all those voices in his head. it is very loud but the food andservicemakes up for it.

food was good, but.... i heard great things about this place on lake hefner and i checked it out and was surprised that the food was as good as others said it was. theservicewas about a 6-7 (out of 10). it was way to loud for me for a early evening meal, it seemed to be more of a bar with decent food than a restaurant with a bar. lots of drinking and loud people and very over crowded.

i will return at some point maybe a lunch during the week when it is not so busy.
