excellent. contrary to many reviews we had a lovely meal here. shared 2 entrees of zucchini flowers and octopus both delicious. the we shared a main of porchetta, also delicious. wait staff attentive without being overbearing. we sat outside and felt a beautiful breeze. will return.

wonderful surroundings and location, spoilt by over priced tasteless food, service not great. we were looking forward to dining out in noosa and were very disappointed.

nice staff , great caprese salad and beautiful surrounds and ambience... but unfortunately the experience ends there .
forgot bread, served us someone else's entrees , and the mains were terrible , rabbit ragu was flavourless and seafood pasta was also flavourless ... can't unfortunately go back again ... sorry

semi freddie dessert was fine. but lasagne marinara a mistake. large slabs of indigestible pasta with assorted seafood. linguini and spaghetti are traditionally served with seafood. this change was not a good idea.

fabulous. had the pleasure of eating at this chic restuarant twice during cup week, food, vibe and service all exceptional. stafff were attentive and engaging and all very knowledgeable and definintely added to the oveall experience. food was right up with the best on offer in noosa, creative, fresh and wonderful. could eat here every night and never grow bored with what is on offer. keep it up, will be back next time we visit this beautiful area.

this is by far one of the best meals i ever had. sweet potato and pumpkin gnocchi. it's to die for. service is excellent and attentive. fit out is decadent and romantic. if you want to eat authentic italian food, locale is your destination. it was nice to have a meal without screaming kids. make sure you book as the restaurant was full on a wednesday night. seriously one of the best restaurants i've been to. caio!

i would suggest not eating here whilst in noosa. there is nothing authentic about the italian food served here. food is stodgy and cheap, service is sloppy and inattentive. a waste of time and money. such a shame as the fit out is really smart but don't be fooled the food will disappoint.

the restaurants in noosa have just had the level lifted with locale. we have been to locale three times since it opened a few weeks ago. excellent food but not an extensive menu. well executed italian and very well presented.
the decor is like a restaurant in ny, melbourne or europe and they have added detail with sophistication yet it appears simple and sleek lines with subtle lighting that gives a great atmosphere. there are different areas to sit from the bar to lounge, table seating or a small outdoor area.
on our third visit with friends our food was great although the entre and main size of pasta looked the same size. all our meals were excellent.
the only problem we had was with the arrogant (older) waiter who thought it was beneath him to pour our wine (we poured it ourselves) and remove empty glasses (which we asked him to take, which he did with attitude) yet found time to listen in on our conversation and add unwanted comments. his manner and lack of service let the experience down but everything else was excellent.
price is expected for the ambience and food but service was spoilt by waiter. on the other occasions we had excellent service from the younger female staff and the manager if very experienced and friendly.
we will return but will ask for someone else to serve us if the waiter is still there.
