lo-lo's chicken & waffles

couldn’t get enough!!!!

let me tell y’all, it’s me hotelbody again & while vacationing for the grandcanyon, we flew into phoenix & just by chance my other half asked the car rental agent where we could get a good meal, he directed us to this place & let me say, your food needs are delivered!!! big portions, greatservice& friendly atmosphere. huge jars for drinks, i love this spot & im so sad it’s not in the ny/nj area... please make this your 1st stop for food when visiting phoenix, you won’t be sorry!!!

been begging my son to take me here for a couple
of years now. he always said wrong time lol f day. it was a well known rumor that thereservicewas rather slow when challenged. well 8 on this saturday morning their serve was on point. the food taste almost as good as roscoe's (especially the waffles exactly), but the menu has a bit more detail and is geared for bl and d.

ok i don’t get it, what’s all the hoopla about lo-lo’s?! all the kudos given, the ratings issued – where is it? first off, it takes forever to get seated! second, theserviceat this (and maybe only) visit of ours, was atrocious – no good ole fashioned southern hospitality here… ‘get you in, eat it up and go about your way’servicetechnique! no hellos, how are yas’ or thank yous. third, the ‘southern-style’ chicken with eggs, home fries and toast and their betty boob chicken and waffles along with the corn fritters were anything but ‘southern’! from someone who knows and who’s fave food is just that, it is not. from our time in line waiting to be seated, through seating and departure the customerservice(or lack thereof) was none existent, abhorrent, lackluster and downright appalling. we were uncomfortable throughout what should have been at worst a reasonably enjoyable experience. but overall our experience is bewildering and are stunned by it’s popularity! unfortunately, lo-lo is a no-no for us.

this is a specialty southern style foods and drink restaurant. on my visit they were on a half hour wait for lunch. we ordered and it took another half hour to be served. i ordered a soul food platter. i got a crispy skinned nicely seasoned moist chicken thigh, a very thickly corn meal breaded (slightly over cooked) piece of cod, above average processed tasting macaroni and cheese, spicy green beans with red potatoes (that seemed over cooked and not tasty) and a giant sort of sweet corn muffin and a very large ball of soft butter. my husband had the #3 lo lo's plate with 3 pieces of chicken and waffles that was a better value than my plate. it was a nice touch that the syrup was served warm and the waffle was tasty. theservicewas above average because our server informed us that the food would take a while.

i always receive great customerservicehere, i love their waffles (really the reason why i go). their sweet tea is always sweetened to perfection and i like that they have outside seating. they have valet parking otherwise you have to park on the street.

expensive but good quality. extensive breakfast menu and it's served all day.servicevery good. a bit on the expensive side ($3.50 for a soft drink!) but worth it for a special experience.

very rude food is good but that customerserviceis bad. the lady in the front with the black spotted face was very rude to us and i didn't feel at home at the place.

bad customerservicenot 2 but 3 times! on over priced dry chicken and i will not be going back any time soon i'll stick to kfc or churches thank you :)

very bad customerservice!!. the manager maurice, has very bad customerservice!!!! he is very rude, loud talking, and may i say again very rude !!!! i was always taught that the customer is always right, or make sure that they are happy. not so with this man, asked to change something on my plate that was very unappetizing to me and his reply was to eat half of it or exchange it with someone else at my table, i
, thought that he was just kidding but he wasn't ! i'm use to the manager coming to the table with an apology and asking what they can do to make things better!! this man was the rudest manager that i have ever encountered !! i even heard him tell another couple " i'm not gonna sit you at a table for six and it's only two of you, you have to wait" !!!! again just rude !!! this fellow needs a lesson or two on how to treat your customers !!!!! maurice sucks !!!!!!

wow!!!!! try the waffle with the dark meat leg and thigh with onions and gravy!!! i love this place. the kool aid is awesome too as well as the red velvet cake! great job and theserviceis down right southern hospitality!

chicken & waffles together!. the chicken was very good, as was the waffle. i had one of the "smaller" combos, but it was very filling. theservicewas very good as well. several staff attended to us with a smile. if you are on a diet, this is a great place for your "cheat day". i'll be back!

big fan of the food...but not the service!. my husband, two young children and i went in here on an early saturday afternoon. they were pretty busy but when we put in our name, the hostess said 10-15 minute wait. no problem. we waited almost 20 minutes and she was seating other people (who came in after us) before we were sat. after we waited for a table, the waitress was so rude, didn't smile and said about 5 words to us the entire time. somebody else brought us the food and a different person brought us our check. the food was outstanding, but theservicedefinitely left a sour taste in my mouth...i highly recommend take out.

bad customer service!!. went on saturday 11/7/2009 at 3:15 p.m., with my husband and our family of 5 kids ranging from 17-6 mo. walked in and an employee asked us to wait outside for a quick second to get a table ready for us. we waited outside for about 10-12 minutes in the heat sweating i know 10 minutes is not bad at all, but when you are out there in the direct sun with a 6 month old, 2 & 5 yr old and they are also uncomfortable b/c of the hot sun and we all know at 3:15 p.m., here is arizona is the hottest time of the day! i walked back in and asked the same girl that told us to wait outside if they had room for us or not she said oh we will get a table ready for you, like she forgot all about us outside! i thought that they were already getting a table ready, but i guess not. would have been a happy customer if anyone would have gone outside and said it will be a few minutes or whatever the case was. i am a latina with a handsome black husband and i never experienced such bad customerservicebefore. maybe she was just hating.my husband loves to support his people and never thought it would be like this.would have loved to experience the food, but we went to china chile instead and it was sooo good & very good customerserviceand great prices! hope your customerserviceimproves for future visitors!
