not so great. from many of the reviews on would think that little bangkok was thai nirvana. unfortunately i am not of the same opinion. i went there forlunchlast week and was disappointed. before i speak about the food i must admit the service was very good and the restaurant looked clean. the decor is not pseudo thai and could pass for any ethnicity. the prices were higher than most of the other thai restaurants i go to but not out of line. last, the portions were quite ample. now to the food. i ordered two dishes - fish patties anda green duck curry the patties were not fresh - they were quite rubbery and i suspect made from a processed "fish" roll. the duck curry was served in a standard soup bowl rather than the deep dish bowl as is usual. the duck was tough and the whole curry was obviously warmed up out of the fridge. lots of vegetables but the whole dish was below average i found it odd that the usual thai condiments were not on the table as is standard in thai restaurants but when i asked for them they were promptly delivered with a smile. i probably will not visit little bangkok again.

really good food. on w him i went to little bangkok while in the strip for lunch. being my first trip to little bangkok i decided to get an appetizer in addition to mylunchentree, went with the fish cake and crab wonton sampler. the fish cakes were so different to make i liked them a lot. at first i was not sure what to make of them. they were somewhat chewy and salty, but the more i chewed the more the flavor kept developing and i really enjoyed them. the crab wontons were amazing. the wrappers were fried perfect and the crab filling was smooth, rich and delicious.

i decided to go with the pad thai with pork for my entrée. if i go to a new thai place i was start with the pad thai, because if that can not be done well at a thai restaurant, why bother with anything else? i am definitely pleased to report i will definitely be heading back. the pad thai was super flavorful and delicious. i liked how they let me pick a hotness scale for the food before i started. i gave it a 7 and i will be darned but they just about nailed my taste for hotness perfect.

maybe thelunchspecial i ordered came with the vegetable soup but i did not order any. anyway, either way it was tremendous. the broth was perfect and the veggies and tofu while not bountiful were perfect accompaniments.

all in all i enjoyed my meal very much and will make it even harder to decide on alunchspot when i am hungry in the strip in the future.

once was enough. after livinig in asia for four years and recently returning to pittsburgh i love thai food. after alunchvisit with my 10 year old daughter i know i'll stick to nicky's on the north side or make my own thai. service indifferent and slow. i requested lime for the pad thai my daughter ordered. they didn't have any. i find it disappointing that the newspaper ad states "the freshest local produce from the strip" and they can not serve a fresh lime quarter with the dish. mango sticky rice was the only part of the meal i would repeat.

gluten free and great food. went forlunchand i spoke to the waiter about gluten-free. he knew the term, said they didn't have a specific menu, but would ask someone what choices i would have. quickly he came back and told me which menu items would definitely be gf and that's what i ordered. very good food and very attentive wait-staff!

i was with friends who are serious about trying different restaurants--and they were impressed with the food here! they loved it and can't wait to go back again. the restaurant is right on the strip district, so it's a great place to stop while shopping too.

you can eat inside or outside; we chose the inside and didn't like the slight warehouse smell when we first walked in.

restroom: absolutely clean and pleasant.

love it!. my husband and i hadlunchat little bangkok over the weekend and - wow - we both agree that this is the best thai food we have had. we've eaten at thai restaurants from west coast to east coast and this restaurant tops them all. the blend of spices, the freshness of the ingredients - we raved about this for the rest of the day.

on a saturday, there was a long line for roland's, so we went next door to try the new place, little bangcock in the strip. the place was pleasant and uncrowded and the service excellent. thelunchspecials included a half-dozen typical thai dishes. we both chose a spicy basil dish; it came with a cup of miso--perfect on a cool day--and fresh steamed rice. we both asked that it be spiced to #7 (out of 10): it was wonderfully flavorful and hot enough that i had to mop my forehead. great food, great service, pleasant decor and all for $8. we'll be back!

loved it. my boyfriend and i are always on the hunt for something new. having both travelled extensively, we like to try new things. we stopped in forlunchtoday and have not stopped raving about it. very very fresh, bold flavors and really well priced. i got alunchmeal with a rice soup that is vegetarian friendly and delicious and i got one of the curry's with tofu, while my boyfriend got chicken noodles.it was amazing. flavor was bold and really stood out. we had also got the satay chicken, that had a fantastic peanut sause and a cucumber relish that was quite different and very tasty. the place itself was classic and clean and the server was excellent. the chef/owner came out to speak to us and was adorable. we will most definately be returning!
